It's kind a relief that CE finally gave an officially announcement that the fan meeting was only postponed... n not completely canceled. I hope they will be holding this fan meeting in the near future..as soon as possible. Just like us as his fans who cannot wait to see him again, I believe that Rain also missed his clouds so much... the meet n greet between him n his clouds will be definitely beautiful :x ><

According to Cube Entertainment, which is Rain's management agency, on the 31st, due to the low degree of readiness to hold a fan meeting, the original plan to do so has been placed on the backburner.

Due to the postponement of his fan meeting, Rain'll meet his fans first at music festival 'Sonic Bang' in Thailand's Bangkok on the 24th of next month. 'Sonic Bang', one of the premier music festivals in the country, features Korea's 'Epik High', Far East Movement which has the title of the hip hop band to hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts and where a Korean-American member belongs, 'Jason Mraz', etc. including Rain.

 

The officials added, "Rain's schedule for 'Sonic Bang' set before his contract with Cube Entertainment, doesn't have very much to do with his official comeback. He hasn't even started working on his new album, and as it hasn't been long since his discharge from the army, he'll take a rest for the time being, and thereafter the work will be started."

 

Cube Entertainment officially announced that Rain signed a contract with the company late this May.

Singer-actor Rain has postponed his fan meeting that was supposed to take place in Korea this weekend.

His agency Cube Entertainment said on Wednesday that the event that was set to be held in Seoul on Saturday with his official fan club, has been pushed back to a later date.

Cube then explained that it was postponed “in consideration of various factors including the process of its preparation” and that the new date for the meet-and-greet will be “announced within several months.”

Several thousands of fans were set to turn up at the fan meeting through which Rain would officially meet with his fans for the first time since his discharge from the military three weeks ago.

Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, was in the military for almost two years to fulfill the mandatory duty required of all able-bodied Korean men.

But we're not always perfect, as a recent incident demonstrates. The original version of a wire story from South Korea's Yonhap News Agency published on our site last week caught the attention of K-pop fans for erroneously suggesting that South Korean pop star Rain, along with other celebrity soldiers, was sentenced to military prison after being caught on camera misbehaving.

Vigilant Rain fans were not happy with the slip — and they let us know:

Korean pop, for those with an unworldly cultural palette, is a global phenom. K-pop has been called "South Korea's Greatest Export," while Psy's "Gangnam Style" became the third most popular single in 2012 in terms of global digital sales.

GlobalPost received dozens of comments as well as tweets and emails from concerned K-pop fans about the story — in fact, it was one of our most-commented stories in recent weeks. Of course, we regret any errors in news stories appearing on our site, and looked into the matter promptly.

Finding incorrect information, we edited the story and issued a correction, as is our policy.

Lately, the burden of being famous has especially caused trouble for actress Kim Tae Hee, according to Sports Korea.

Kim Tae Hee has been resting after completing filming for SBS drama “Jang Ok Jung, Live in Love.” During this break, a man who claims he is “her real boyfriend” has been stirring up some trouble.
