Since news broke last January that Korean superstar Rain has been dating actress Kim Tae Hee, she has been in the spotlight for more than just her talent and beauty. Kim Tae Hee is the object of envy for thousands of Rain fans around the world.

Even thought the R&B pop singer is currently enlisted in his mandatory military service, the couple manages to find time together and allow their relationship to grow naturally.

In a recent media interview with Sports Seoul, Kim Tae Hee discussed her romance with Rain and offered up some of her relationship philosophies.

"I think you can never know someone without experiencing," she said. "I usually do not believe in reputations that other people say, and I always try hard to get rid of bias."

When asked about her future marriage plans, the popular actress admitted she personally has not given any thought to the subject yet, but did express what she thinks is crucial for a successful relationship.

"Trying to upgrade one's life by getting married to a rich guy is not a good idea," she advised. "The key point of marriage is keeping and building your love with your partner until the very end."

And what about that famous stud of a boyfriend? "He's doing well," Kim Tae Hee said.

Meanwhile, Rain is still fulfilling his active military duty and will finish his service next month.

Rain Acquitted of Malpractice Charges

Rain has been freed of all malpractice charges, coming loose from a case that involved billions of won.

On June 23, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors′ Office announced that "Rain, who was sued for bringing harm to a company after demanding billions of won for modeling fees as its main shareholder, was cleared of all charges following a reinvestigation."

In April 2010, a businessman that traded in clothing sued Rain, saying that the singer, the biggest shareholder in a company the accuser invested in, received about 2.2 billion won as three years′ worth of modeling fees, bringing great harm to the company by receiving the excessive payment.

The reinvestigation took place for about two years, but the Prosecutors′ Office stated that no suspicions against Rain could be confirmed, and so Rain was not indicted.

Rain will be released from his military duties in July.

Rain has been found innocent on all charges stemming from the fashion company investment case.

Back in March, an investor named 'Lee' filed against the singer as well as 2 others who were part of J.Tune Creative, requesting 2 billion KRW (approximately $1.8 million USD).

For those of you who aren't familiar with the issue, Rain and the executives of the company he headed at the time, J.Tune Creative, were sued back in 2010 for embezzling the funds of this said investor, after receiving investment for a fashion company. Rain was found not guilty during the initial court ruling, while the other executives in the lawsuit were found guilty of some of the charges. However, in 2011, the court ruled that a re-investigation is needed and opened up the case again.

After nearly 2 years, the re-investigation has concluded and the Seoul Central Prosecutors decided, "There isn't enough evidence to prove the plaintiff's accusations against singer Rain. We've decided he is innocent on all counts."

Rain is scheduled to be discharged from the army on July 10.

Rain Cleared Of Embezzlement Charges A Second Time: Seoul Court Finds Singer ‘Innocent On All Counts’

Rain has been cleared of all charges stemming from a 2010 embezzlement scandal that led to the indictment of two executives at his record label J. Tune Entertainment.

The South Korean singer and actor was originally cleared of all embezzlement charges in Seoul Central Court back in 2010, according to the website allkpop, yet the case was reopened in 2011.

Back in March, a fashion investor named Lee sued Rain for $1.8 million on the charge that he and two of his partners misused company funds.

“There isn’t enough evidence to prove the plaintiff’s accusations against singer Rain,” the court officer said on Monday. “We’ve decided he is innocent on all counts.”

The singer, who will finish his mandatory two years of national military service on July 10, was also accused of leasing expensive cars on the company dime and jacking up his modeling fee to $2.25 million over the course of three years.

Back in 2010, the publication Soompi reported that the Seoul’s High Prosecutor found the potential damage done to the company’s stock rating by Rain’s car payments or modeling fees was minimal.

“With regards to the issue of Rain subjectively receiving pay as an exclusive model, we concluded that the company would not have suffered a great damage just from Rain receiving a modeling fee of $2.25 million over three years,” the prosecutor stated.

Rain, who appeared in the 2008 Hollywood film “Speed Racer,” caused a major stir online back in January, when a tabloid published photos of the television actress Kim Tae-Hee getting into his car, while he was currently enlisted in the army.

The singer appeared to possibly breach military protocol, considering Rain, on a sanctioned break from active duty, was not wearing his uniform.

A South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman told the Agence France-Presse that the incident was blown out of proportion.

“We advise soldiers to wear proper military outfit including a beret during a holiday but a failure to do so is not a punishable crime,” the spokesman said.

And what about the relationship between Rain and Kim?

“They are currently getting to know each other with feelings for each other,” Kim’s agency said back in January.

Hopefully, the controversial date was worth it for one of the South Korean army’s most famous servicemen.

Actress Kim Tae Hee recently opened up about her relationship with mega-star Bi Rain. How does a couple that famous manage to have a relationship? Apparently not without creating a scandal.

It was only January when it was revealed that Kim, the star of the drama "Jang Ok Jung" was seeing the singer and "Full House" star. The revelation shocked fans and even the stars' agencies, which had no idea they were dating.

"We have just started dating and are getting to know each other," said Kim Tae Hee when the scandal broke.

Fans soon learned the couple had been dating for three months, saw each other once a week and even spent the Christmas holidays together.

Not only was this a dating scandal but it also created problems for Rain, who was fulfilling his active military service. While the entertainer was allowed to leave base for promotional duties, that flexibility did not include taking time to date. Enlistees get 28 days off for personal leave and Rain left base on 60.

As a result of the scandal, Rain was grounded for a week, which many people thought was too light a punishment, given the ongoing controversy about some celebrities getting preferential treatment. Rain, 31, will finish his service next month and fans are curious to see where the relationship will go.

Kim Tae Hee, 33, recently said that it was important for a couple to take the time to learn about each other. People who are famous often have an image that does not match up with their real personality.

"I think you can't know someone without spending time with them," said the actress. "I do not believe in judging someone based on their reputation."

When asked if they had marriage plans she said she had not thought about the subject. Only last June, she had been equally cool about the subject.

"Dating, marriage, and becoming pregnant isn't something that can happen because you plan it," said Kim. "Now that I am getting older, I don't want to marry too late. But if I marry before 40 I will consider it a success."

Dating rumors once linked her with "My Princess" co-star Song Seung Hoon but both actors denied them. At that time, she was asked about her ideal man and said that since she is not funny, her ideal man needs a sense of humor. Having money does not matter. Trying to improve your life by marrying for money, she said, is a bad idea.

"In terms of appearance," she added, "he just has to be nice looking."

Dating rumors once linked Rain with Jeon Ji Hyun and "Full House" costar Song Hye Kyo, who he then called his ideal type.
