Sorry for this belated summary. Here is a summary of ep 20. Hope this still works for someone.

In handing out the birthday gift box to YM, NS, sad about the situation, told YM to stop here now. YM, of course, couldn't accept it. Goni did not look alright either. When NS was back to his car, he felt more uneasy in seeing NS look grim-faced.

Ahn Se hoon asked YM's responsibility for what happened at the hotel casino and its consequence on the joint venture project. YM asked Ahn Se Hoon to give him a chance to make up. YM and M Jung embezzled the company's money, 10 billion won, for the secretive rebate deal with Philip Hwang.

Kwang Reol asked Goni what was the evidence to prove his innocence he found from the tape. Goni replied, there was nothing like that. By telling YM that he found the evidence, he just wanted to stir YM's mind. Feeling being pushed into a corner, a person cannot resist the lure he sees at hand as a way out.

After receiving the rebate from YM, Philip Hwang led him to a bar. Then, YM was astonished by Goni's sudden appearance. He realized everything about Golden Paradise Korea and Philip Hwang was Goni's invention. They played a game of telling the truth. At the last game, Goni suggested YM to play a game, entirely relying on luck, not on any trick and skills. If YM wins, he will redeem the rebate. If he loses, he should go to the police to confess his wrongdoings. The winner was Goni in the end. YM fell into despair. Goni, driving back, cursed at the situation they were in.

YM drank alone, crying over the situation he was in. Drunk, he came home and M Jung was waiting for him. He told M Jung that they were tricked by Goni. Even the embezzled money was gone. Next morning, M Jung called YM to leave home right away as the police was on the way to search his apartment. When M Jung was grabbing some important data and belongings from the office, NS appeared. In return for helping M Jung and YM flee abroad, NS suggested M Jung to cooperate with them to prove Goni's innocence. NS said she did not want YM to go to jail. She said she understood YM as he had no choice other than doing what he's done.

M Jung asked YM to flee abroad together. That's the only way they can get away. YM ensured M Jung he could continue to make her feel lonely. M Jung said she would be okay with that. YM asked her to give him several days off to get prepared.

Agui and KDC triumphantly went to the party set to celebrate the joint venture of Golden Paradise Korea and Agui. But when he was about to give a speech, the entrance door was opened suddenly. Then, a crowd of people came in. Goni, JjakGui, Pyung Gyung Jang, etc. Agui realized he was tricked by Goni and JjakGui. His money, 40 billion won, was gone. They celebrated their victory over Agui by pouring champagne on Agui's face. Goni added Agui will be arrested under suspicion of abetting murder.

JjakGui said goodbye to Goni. When Goni asked JjakGu why he did not smile despite the completion of his revenge. He replied, "when I went outside and saw morning sun after playing gambles all night long, I felt the same no matter whether I won or lost." In a car, JjakGui looked outside peacefully, with his empty eyes. Goni also said goodbye to his inmates.

Agui got insane. Though KDC tried to persuade him to get away, Agui couldn't stop himself until he gets his money back. He asked KDC to kidnap NS to use as a hostage to make a deal with Goni. He also asked KDC to buy a pistol and called a gang head to help him. NS and M Jung traded the documents M Jung and YM need to flee abroad and the real cctv tape. NS was surprised the real cctv tape wasn't destroyed.

YM went to Pusan and to the tomb of Dae Ho. He cried in front of the tomb, lamenting about his life. What's wrong with his efforts to get the girl he loves and get power so as not to be stamped down by the more powerful? But he said to Dae Ho, he will go to the police as he promised with Goni. M Jung was concerned about YM as he did not respond for a while.

Kidnapping NS, Agui took her to the ppang-gye-pan gambling place he owns. He called Goni to come to the place alone with 40 billion won. Goni went to the place alone. Go Kwang Reol called YM if he knew where Agui would be and said NS was held hostage by Agui.

A summary of ep 21 (the finale).

When Goni went to the gambling place, he found NS tied to a chair. Goni asked Agui to release her by presenting the money he brought, but Agui said he never said he would release her. Agui also tied Goni to a chair next to NS, asking KDC to count the money. But he found Goni brought only 10 billion won. Goni wanted to save time by giving him only a part of his money. Angry Agui played the Russian roulette game toward Goni and NS, in turns. Then, YM in an auto bike came in. Thanks to YM, Goni and NS were freed from the Russian Roulette game. Goni and YM fought against Agui's underlings. When Agui shot a gun at NS, YM saved her by pushing himself toward her. YM was shot. YM, dying, said sorry to them, handing out a note to Goni, on where Dae Ho was buried. Goni and NS cried over dying poor YM. Agui ran away.

In arranging and packing YM's belongings, M Jung found a letter left for her. In the letter, YM expressed how much he appreciated her unconditional love to him and acknowledged he had a special feeling toward her as well. M Jung cried bucket.

Goni went to the tomb of Dae Ho. He sent YM's apology to Dae Ho, telling him to forgive YM. Goni did not go to YM's burial place. He seemed to need more time to do so.

Unable to let Agui go, M Jung plotted a game to take revenge for YM's death. M Jung suggested Agui a game with Goni. Because M Jung knew Agui might not trust her, he threw a lure Agui can't resist: Pyung Gyung Jang. She said because she kidnapped YooRa, Pyung Gyung Jang can't help but play with him as a team mate. If he wins, he can redeem the money he lost. If he loses, Goni will ask his life.

She also suggested Goni the same game. Unable to forget about how YM died, Goni was indeed searching for Agui. Then, when being offered a game with Agui, Goni couldn't resist it. Go Kwang Reol said he can't play with him because he thought he (Goni) shouldn't play the game. Then, NS came in. At first, NS tried to persuade him not to play, but realized how adamant his decision was. She said to Goni if he really needs to play the game, she will be able to be his partner.

Everyone except for Agui was on the same side. Goni stunned people by pointing a gun at Agui again. He played the Russian Roulette game toward Agui for the revenge on behalf of his father, Dae ho, YM, and NS. Agui was, fortunately, still alive. When he tried to pull the trigger at Agui for himself, NS blocked him. She wanted Goni to stop there. She did not want to see him ruin his life. But her plea did seem not working. Goni said sorry to her and all others he loves there, and was about to pull the trigger at Agui. But thank goodness, he shot the gun toward the ceiling. M Jung, who wanted Goni to shot Agui, looked disappointed at the back sight.

When they were leaving the place, Agui was arrested by the police. Then, M Jung, suddenly came to Agui and shot a gun at him. Agui was dead. Everybody was stunned on the spot. Goni said to NS that it would be he who were in M Jung's place if he did not have NS.

Two years later, Goni finally was able to go to where YM was buried. Goni works as a worker at the fish market. There are a lot of ordinary people having fun with games in the fish market. NS works as a counselor for anti-gambling movement. Go Kwang Reol and KDC are still around the gambling places.

My only gripe is that I thought Goni deserved a better ending - why the fish market - there's no fish market connection from the start! And what about his mum whose been constantly worrying sick about him, and although the writer intended not to highlight the romance aspect of the drama it would be great if Goni and Nansook ended up working together, happy together at last!

Hi aida, thanks for sharing your thoughts! Haha...I was on the same page with you for the scene. boy I wasn't disappointed.

Although, I have a lot of disappoinments about the last game scene itself. First, the scene itself was too draggy. It would have been more thrilling if the lines of characters were more condensed and sequences were edited more thightly and speedily. There are two parts in the last game scene. The fake and the real. I wish the director(s) made a clear line between them. For example, Goni was portrayed as having typical traits of hogu (gambling victim)s again, which made me freaked out at first. Then later when NS said to Agui everything was plotted in advance, I got confused. which is the real and which is not. Did Goni act like a hogu on purpose throughout the scene?? Or partly true? Third, I couldn't help a feeling that the character of Goni was ruined at the scene. A lot of people couldn't get themselves sympathized with Goni throughout the drama because Goni seemed blindly heading toward the goal of revenges. Furthermore, the character of Goni is not the type of protagonists that people get crazy about. Sure, lots of people still buy his motives like me. The reason we could understand him is at least his rationale for revenges is logically narrated in the storyline no matter whether his character is attractive or not.

Basically, I understood Goni finished his revenge project on ep 20. The party scene where Goni and JjakGui poured champagne on Agui was the closing moment of his and JjakGui's revenge. The conversation they shared after coming out from the party was a significant message closing the revenge. Emptiness. We feel empty no matter whether we win or lose after completing a long battle. But one thing sure is if we give up in the middle, we may feel regret for not pursuing it to the end, forever. Yes, there is no right answer for whether we should go or stop. When JjakGui looked out in a car, he looked empty as well as peaceful. If he had not pursued the revenge to the end, was he able to feel the peace? Maybe, or maybe not....

Anyway, Goni's revenge project was done. Then, an accident happened again. YM's death. Although Goni cried and cried over his death, it was not easy for him to accept him. I think it is a realistic description of the character. I believe Goni must understand YM. But acceptance is a different matter. How can a person accept a friend easily just because of his death, who pushed him to jail for over a dozen years by making him to a murderer? In the game scene of Goni and YM on ep 20, there was a moment at which they could reconcile each other or make themelves understood to each other. But they ended up in parallel, sadly.

So it was understandable for me to see Goni can't go to YM's burial place right away. He needed time. Although Agui is still alive, it's a matter of time fo him to be arrested by the police. If he wants to do somthing, he can help the police find Agui. Where does the strong motive behind his desire to kill Agui come from??? I couldn't find any convincing reason Goni needed to play the game to take revenge for YM. To be honest, the last game scene was designed for M Jung only. She is the one who really wanted to kill Agui. All the participants in the last game were means for M Jung's revenge. That's why I couldn't get Goni in the last game scene at all. When he pointed a gun at Agui, I really didn't get it. He triggered everal times at Agui in the names of people he loved and lost. But why did he have to repeat the same thing over and over? Goni has grown from a hogu to a top tazza. To become a tazza, he had to experience many trials and ordeals and overcome his invidual weakenesses. So we believed he became mature. Then at the last game scene, he returned to the boy we saw at the beginning of the drama. I may exaggerate this situation a bit, but I was really upset by this scene...hehe... JH's performance wasn't impressive either, but how could an actor play well if he can't understand his character?? M Jung's shooting of Agui was impressive, but at the expense of Goni's character.

I like the ending for Goni. For me, it doesn't matter what he does for living. It matters that he completely gets out of the gambling world. I think Goni and NS are together although they work differently for their living. I read the script of the finale. There are more scenes in the script which did not appear on the film. I agree with much of what you say about how things were wrapped up. Probably a lot of the trouble started when they added Episode 21. By then I guess the production team was pretty tired and maybe they didn't make the best choices....

I hope more people will actually watch this now... Despite our small complaints here and there, I, for one, got a lot of enjoyment from Tazza! Why is it the original script is always better - off-topic when I watched Legend the last time I did not watch the final episode with subs as I thought the original script was better written. It would have been awesome if they had showed Goni donating the money, with his mom and Nan Sook looking on with pride . I have a soft spot for Yoora and Go Kwang Reol but its really one-sided. Hey isn't GKR supposed to be married - did I get lost somewhere? I foresee better roles coming for the actress acting as Yoora.

Just to share something with you guys - at one point I really thought that there might be a chance that Uncle Dae Ho is not dead - and he might be Goni's rescuer in the end.

Thank you also for your well scripted inputs on the last gambling scene! Being a non-nano drama watcher - I'm really bad with details - and that's why I need to watch a drama more than once to catch more details. Not understanding the Korean language makes it even tougher. I'll definitely know what to watch for when I rewatch Tazza. I now understand the last gambling scene so much more and I'll definitely pay close attention to Goni's narrative.

Jill, I thinks so too. The production team must be tired and must have not had enough time. But again, overall I am satisfied with the ending. The conclusion is quite clear and the ending for each character is reasonable or understandable. I have already re-watched some favorite episodes! It's a strange feeling..I feel like I watched them million years ago. No wonder as we went along a long journey together with Goni, NS, YM, and all. The journey during which a lot happened...yeah...a lot happened.

aida, off-the-topic: I read the script of the finale and I swear the drama would have received much more praises if it had been executed as in the original script. It seems the same thing repeats for almost all k-dramas unless they are broadcast after the completion of filming. As they come closer to the ending, the production team runs short of time. I heard the filming of the final episode of Tazza was not done until just prior to the airing time. Anyway..Go Kwang Reol has a kid, but was not married. He went out a girl and had a baby accidentally. But his girlfriend ran away after giving birth to the baby.

As for Dae Ho, you are not alone....haha...I also wondered what's going on about him. It looks like the writers attempted to use Dae Ho's death to arose an expectation of surprise among viewers. To be honest, I thought about the possibility of him to be alive, but had to admit that his death is more logical in the storyline.. just my 2 cent thought. If I add more to the ending. Yoora continues to work for a casino. Pyung Gyung Jang made a joke..She's carrying on family business...keke... Goni insists on working at the fish market though NS, his mom, and Go Kwang Reol persuade him to take a better job. It looks like Goni wants to do labor to earn money, the opposite to gambling.
