cynder - my understanding is it is implied about consumating the marriage. But hunnies/hyoonies like lualm can answer your question better. Also those who were/are able to follow the rest of the Goong manga.  I only have a few issues of it but I know another hunnie has a complete set of it. (red)

Thanks for the feedback, Tarits. I figured it has to be implied somewhere but I just couldn't figure out where. I am thinking that perhaps I am at a disadvantage since some may be lost in translation. I noticed how different sites have quite some differences in translations.

@cynder- hahaha! same here for me.. whenever i see pics of him, be it recent or old, and whenever i read news about him, it makes me wanna see all of his work again.. i guess i'm way too crushing on JiHoon.. and no one could blame me, right??  :P he's got everything that's every girl/ woman could ask for in a boyfriend.. tough luck, he's way too out of our leagues.. ) )but still... i looooovvvveeeee himmmm!!! :\"> :\"> :x :x
from what i understand, it was implied that they consummated the marriage but not directly. it was shown that Lee Shin married Shin Chaegyung in a Catholic church in Macau with Queen TaeHu mama and Lady Choi as witnesses. while they were taking pictures outside the church, Chaegyung acted as if she would vomit which prompted the Queen to ask if it is a baby.. hehehe! ; ;) gosh, i was really hoping they would have a spin-off then.. hahaha! but when they had a Goong 1.5 special episode, they denied that it was a baby and said that it's just really an upset stomach.. i'm not sure if im just lost in translation or what, but Lee Shin said that he gave up the crown and decided her sister to take over. he even said that mom and dad ( yeah, not her highness and his majesty!  ) are living on the countryside... which leads me to having to want to see Goong again and ogle all i want...hahaha!

@cynder, I think it was in the last episode, when he visited Chae Kyung in Macau that he said that he gave up being King and his sister became the queen.  That was why he was wondering if Chae Kyung still would accept him.  At least that is how I understood it.  I think @Goongfan11 can answer you as well.

Anyways, as for Goong...I haven't seen Goong 1.5..thank you so much for mentioning it. I will definitely watch it later. I was thinking that a baby was implied in the ending because of the baby bear also that was present at the very end of the episode. 
@novchime...thanks for the reply. I kinda thought so too..I guess my thoughts were a bit shaken from the fan comments I have read. Maybe it was more of a wishful thinking.( SOme actually said that he came back later (after studying abroad) as the King...as it was pre arranged between him and his royal family )

We may ogle a lot and drool on certain "things" but you all seem to be much rooted and more realistic in many ways. It's like talking to real friends. cynder - yes there is english sub in manga too.  Once you collect or get one, there are more and more issues and it is addictive! I posted once where to get it and where I directed goongfan once to get her copy from to. Amazon has a lot of manga issues on sale. This is also where I got another on line vendor where I even got it cheaper.

selasih - I think he has a latest interview that has not been published elsewhere yet.  Yes it has english words too. Check this out:

so i've been spending my past not-so-busy-two-weeks with marathoning all Jihoon's dramas and movies, started with Five Fingers, Antique, Goong, I Am King, Mawang and Naked Kitchen ... oh man, i'm so in love again with this man, in love with his acting and off course with his good look the more i see him the more handsome he is.. no wonder YEH had said that she felt intimidated about how good looking Jihun is (i thought i read that in one of her interviewed back then, i'm forgot )

and about his projects, its incredible that i can enjoy all his dramas and movies.. usually, if i like an actors/actressess, there must be one or two projects of them that i can't fully enjoy, but not with Jihun's, so far i love all his choices of dramas and movies, and i hope it'll remain  the same oh who i'm kidding, like it or not, i'll still watch it anyway

and after this re-watched again, i realized not only his two character  from Antique and Naked Kitchen that has similarity which is food-related, but there are similarity between his character in Mawang and Five Fingers too where Jiho and Seung Ha learn sign language, and dedicated for them, i made it as a gifs

Thanks @sophiechoice for sharing those gifs! wow! never noticed the sign language thingy! You're so observant! Re Antique and TNK having the same theme (food) I think he accepted the latter because the PD Hong Ji Young (which will be directing Eve of Wedding) is the wife of Antique Bakery PD Min Gyu Dong. Antique was done from December 2007 to March 2008 and he immediately accepted TNK which started shooting June of the same year. It was unlikely of Jihoon to do such thing because he's known to take his time before accepting subsequent projects, so maybe he had develop a close tie with the couple that he could not decline PD HJY's offer. I'm also glad you like all of his projects. He seems to choose his films/series very carefully, not settling on mediocre or generic types of roles. That's why I've always been proud of his works and performances, including his musical plays, Don Juan and Voyage of Life (while he was serving the military).

The Japanese fans have launched a new project again in support of the forthcoming movie of Jihoon. This particular group of Japanese fans (there are many groups and not just one) are so loyal and devoted to Jihoon that it is not a surprise that Jihoon treats his Japanese fans in a very special way. All fans from Japan follow his career no matter which part of Japan they are from and they come in all ages too but mostly are ahjummas (if I am not mistaken) like me.

Then there is another group of Japanese fans whose project is about the forthcoming bday of Jihoon.  Indeed Jihoon is so blessed to have fans like them. And Jihoon is doubly blessed to have fans like us too.

@sophiechoice... I guess am not the only one getting Jihoon vitamin LOL. It just doesn't seem to get boring...I can watch his movies/dramas all day...and night! I just feel like I get lost just watching him. I can't decide either which project of his is my favorite. I guess i tend to get biased because anything that includes him is fine by me  :-bd  :-bd. No matter how cold/bad he gets...I say, "It's ok, he's not that bad"  :>

I am glad that here, on our Jihoon world, no one seems to be nitpicking about the fan comments. No one says u can't do this or that...so for the most part, am just being myself...my secret self that is
