if its really based on album sales, both snsd and suju have VERY good chances.

super junior sold like, what around 160,000 copies in a matter of months.

and both snsd's single & album sales beat that of wonder girls.

snsd's album sold like, nearly 50000!

but yeah. they both have such good chances of taking home bonsang + newbie award.

but the controversy that would occur if they won -________-

with the whole "sm pays for their artists to win."

SG Wannabe got 47,000 in the first 2-3 weeks. If only they decided to call this album as a repackage album then these sales could've counted toward the 4th album.

The thing is that they remix everything. Not like some so-called repackage ONE new song floating out there !!!!

SG is awesome !!! I love them b/c they don't release some crappy album to waste my money. Every single album from them is worth the money and very enjoyable to listen to.

And i don't think they need these extra CD to help with their already-extraordinaIRE 4th album

SG should at least get BONSANG (that's like 100% sure ) if not DEASANG :blush:

i had it once.. i forgot where i saw it..

if im not mistake it had sg wannabe, sj, big bang, epik high in the first four spots..

^I had the list somewhere, but I also can't find it. From what I remember, they actually count from December 2006 to November 2007 which is why Big Bang is pretty high on there even though they released their first album in Dec. of 2006. There is an article that a girl in the Super Junior thread posted up which I quoted here a few pages back, so you can look at that.

The order as of now are basically:

1. SG Wannabe Vol. 4

2. Super Junior Vol. 2

3. Epik High Vol. 4

I don't remember number four...but it is probably Big Bang.

Super Junior jumped fast though, which is a given. They sold over 66,000 albums in the first week and a half of their release then in the two months that followed, they nearly doubled it. No kidding though that album sales suck in Korea in general and have been this way for a while [and seems to be getting worse.]

7. Big Bang 1st album ~77,000 (they sold around 110,000 total, but 33,000 of it was sold in 2006)

This article says that SuJu is the 3rd artists to surpass 100,000 in sales in 2007 along with SG Wannabe and Epik High.

Among the New Artists, the folks who sold the most:

1. FT Island 1st album 79,786

2. SNSD 1st album 49,438 (single 21,442)

3. Younha 1st album ~44,000 (1.5 album 20,595)

4. WG 1st album 30,445 (single 10,642)

Some artists have singles, mini-albums, and .5 albums, but I'm not sure how Golden Disk counts those.
