Well yeah, the costumes are freaking awful. And why did they give that Pink crap to Ji Soo! You'd have thought they at least spend for something classy and gorgeous costumes for the cast. I really was hoping for Ji Soo to be part of either GMB or maybe Pied Piper. A more gritty drama where he can show his impressive acting. Instead he had to don that awful historical pink whatever. Well as usual I'm only gonna watch for maknae prince
Maybe they wanted it to be close to the Chinese costumes? But I dunno how that one looks like. I hop they spend money on costume and cinematography and have a brilliant script and directing terrific acting coz otherwise, it's not only the costume that will get flak.

I'm watching this only because. Here's hoping writing, directing will be high quality so it will bring out even more brilliant acting. I don't like period/historical dramas. I lose interest after about several episodes so I'm okay with 35 episodes. But I watch especially if acting story and quality of drama is top notch ie: Gaksital

With all these flowery boys stars in the cast, I hope his impressive acting gets to shine. Looks is just bonus it's terrific acting that always makes me watch. Hope script is good too. That's all I want. for acting, writing to be good. And directing editing and cinematography.
@irilight YG being part of this drama.. does it mean it will be..uhm...like really commercialized? I dunno if that's the right term. And does YG have a say when it comes to script or you know just about every aspect of the drama? Is that a good thing? Going to be big budget?
*Edit: one off topic question. Any confirmation of Soompi report of new SBS drama of Yeo Jin Goo? got me excited.

So Ji Sool will be in Page Turner with Kim So Hyun this February. Then Glory Day movie this March with Ryu Joon Yeul, Kim Hee Chan and Suho. And then Moon Lovers by September acting along side veteran stars. And yes, this immensely talented brilliant young actor will be a superstar! I heart!

I guess all the prince will need to ride horses?

@RmbSeunghoYounGiee Nice. I'm looking again at the fan edit. IU looks young and innocent. But anyway age is just number. And from reading previous posts, the lead character is supposed to be that... I think.
I hope once this drama begins I can sustain my interest. This is pre produced w/c is good.I like a drama with wonderful cinematography as well. Hope we'll get to see that. It adds to the dymanics and over all production of the drama.

And okay, back to Moon Lovers. I'm not familiar with the story and the Chinese original. I do think there are some dramas when they do their own version, original is always better. Though for Cantabile, I did like kversion cos it was less slapstick and more sentimental though others would prolly disagree.
Ji Soo! I'm gonna watch this because I'm just happy, brilliant breakout rookie has another drama.I want him to shine here because his looks is just bonus as it's his impressive acting and charisma that pulls viewers.

This confirmed? I'm not a big fan of hers but I can appreciate a drama with good writing acting and directing. I like her acting in her old dramas before that 'the heirs" thing.

My thoughts exactly. Writing should be superb quality and directing of scenes too. Ji Soo is tall and charismatic and with looks but more so got that impressive acting, immensely talented. But he's a rookie but he can be on par with sunbaes and with all the other actors being veteran in dramas, here's hoping he gets to show that emotion, the brilliance.

Ha ha ha.I don't and barely watch period costume 35 ep dramas ( except gaksital I watch from start to finished). I lose interest in drama after more than 16 episodes, lol. I'm only watching this for Ji Soo! I've been wishing dramagods to have Ji Soo part of GMB that's really what I want even just as brother or son, but did not happen. Still glad he has new drama for this year.
@fleurofjasmine thanks chingu. Lemme know your thoughts about cdrama original. I plan to check it but I hope I don't lose interest no matter how good it is... because I'm just not fond of historical costume dramas.

But... but... but... why is it that all the princess are idol singers??? Is there a shortage of young actors. In this drama how old are they supposed to be? I'm just wondering. I like a several of young good actresses , not the singing type, that can act well and I prefer them. Well, hope production, writing, directing and acting is good.

Because as everyone knows.. if y'all haven't already my post are always Ji Soo!
And I really really hope and wish, Ji Soo's impressive brilliant acting shines in this drama. I've been wishing for k version of TW drama MARS for him. But anyway.....
@aurelly I've no opinion on IU cos I've never seen her drama except scenes from LSS. And yes, lets encourage stars to shine like IU because we've see her in rom-com, perhaps, we dunno, maybe there is something hidden there which she can show. I wanted Park. Bo Young or Kim Yoo Jung actually, but you know with good script, good directing, it always brings out the best in the actors and acting shines..so as they say. Fighting!
Anticipation is high for Moon Lovers. ^^
The cast deserves a decent script to adequately showcase their talent, committment, and passion for acting.
I echo same sentiments.

But anyway. I hope we see impressive acting of Ji Soo in this drama remake. Ji Soo is like 21 or 22 wait 22 and he's got this raw brilliance when he did Angry Mom and as Ha Joon in Cheer Up did terrific acting.That angsty appeal. But he can be charming too but he's just brilliant with emotions. I just saw the pic wanted to share for this thread. I don't know who is that character on the left counter part?

No worries. Although not for same reasons..it's pretty much obvious with all my posts, I'm just watching this for Ji Soo (so fans of other stars...don't shoot me too.. ha ha). as you mention, democracy with free speech.
But I'm excited for Ji Soo and for this drama notwithstanding too many flower boys and idols. If the story is such that writing, directing, acting, production is top notch, I'll stay till the end.
I'm going to watch the Cdrama to fully understand this k version. May be I'll be like you, I'll be attached too.
