Hello chingu, I would't call you nasty just because you side with villain character in the drama. I do love YB, love to hate him.  He's not that average villain, he's clever, well-spoken and quick.

Your post is quite interesting so let me give my opinion to it.

Agree with this. She should prepare the evidence well and think of many possibilty of what if he denied all the charges on top of that she knows that YB is a person who is willingly to do whatever to win his cases, to be her opponent in the trial. She is too over confident of herself.

Medical record couldn't be collected more detail. If they want to get this they need to do the autopsy which is quickly refused by the family member which is the criminal. The investigator concluded it as just a regular accident. They can't do the autopsy without the family consent. Then the next day they just found that the criminal got 2.7 millions in his account. This let them to feel more sure into suspect him. But since the criminal quickly cremated the corpse. They couldn't propose for the autopsy after all. How couldn't she recognize the voices. I think maybe since she didn't know the real voice of the victim. The criminal manipulated his voice to sound like his brother. Even myself couldn't recognize him either, of course I'm not a prosecutor, lol.

If the trial is a game. She lost because of her carelessness in investigating and providing unsufficient evidences. Indeed it is her fault. But does this all her fault? I am partly disagree. The investigation wasn't done by herself. So the investigators team also take responsibility for this.

I agree with you. Even YB didn't take it, there might be other slimy lawyer will take it. Many cases out there in real life are manipulated from guilty to be innocent or from innocent to be guilty by the prosecution. But even so, I still couldn't make myself agree with what YB did. The prosecution might have the responsibility for releasing the criminal since they can't prove him wrong. That's basic fundamental of a law which ironically is misused by the brilliant evil mind lawyers like YB to make the criminal get away from getting the punishment. In other words, YB also takes responsible for letting him go which is so wrong in the eye of law of justice.

But no worrries. The chicken guy will soon proved guilty. There are so many evidence they can get. They have HJ, the sister as the witness and HWT as the witness and new victim. They know how the brother got killed, the cause of the death has been identified. They just need to connect all the other evidences to point them all to the criminal. So as how it was going in JC's dream. It would go like that, when we see reporter HJ reported the criminal is finally under arrested. And to that, we're getting nearer to HJ's accident in the dream which she really fears of. We just need to wait for the next episodes to come, B)

I actually agrees what YB said when JC confronted him outside the toilet (2:26 - 2:32 of the clip below), about the responsibilities of prosecutors. I don't know the exact English translation (since I watched the official Taiwanese subs), but the meaning roughly translates into this:
“So why do you decide what the picture looks like before piecing the puzzles together? You should understand the picture during piecing them!!!”

No worries for not be able to charge the fried chicken house guy this time!

From JC's dream the prosecutors' office would found the package of the poisoned drink (probably with the saliva of the dead and fingerprints of the chicken guy, I guess). This must be the smoking gun~

By the way anyone notice the chicken guy, Kang Ki-young, was in fact the uncle of Kim Bok-joo in Weightlifting Fairy? He helped Bok-joo's father run a fried chicken house :grimace:. Lee Jong-suk made a guest appearance in that show, and they have both been in W-Two Worlds.

@rittoo Yes there are some details in this drama that bug me as well....hopefully the writer can avoid those in future.

Hopefully no one else is gonna have the ability the dream the future.  That would be some kind of complicated complicated!

    ....

The ability portrayed in this drama reminds me of a US series called Flashforward. The story started with everyone on earth losing consciousness for around 3 minutes, during which each person got a brief dream, or a "flashforward", about their future half a year later. The later episodes dealt with the complicated consequences: some people try to change their future since they dreamt of themselves in a bad situation, some people who could not dreamt of anything assumed themselves died with the half-year period and committed suicide since they lost the will to live....yeah well you see how complicated the whole thing is.

These few minutes give me chills....the film editing, the ost, the monologue by JC....everything is timed so perfectly!!!! I LOVE how the moment when JC decided not to hide his feelings anymore were intertwined together with the revelation of the new baddie.

I think he didn't kiss here because he didn't want to kiss her just cause he saw it in his dream
i think he don't want this feeling or future be  decided by dreams

i think he realized it too , he know that his feeling start to move to her  but i think he take think taking it slowly is better , HJ is different she liked him and saw in her dreams that they going to be together so she act so fast like it was nothing that why he thought at first that she weird , but JC don't like to trust his dreams or let it decide his future and feeling

I'm not sure but It seems JC didn't kiss HJ because he's afraid that something worse will  happen if their relationship goes further.

I have watched the official Taiwanese subs. It looks like he doesn't want to be burdened by the expectations from the ones who he loves, for he is afraid to let those people down. From the preview it seems the next 2 episodes will explain more about JC's feelings.

JC is at his office, gets the call from WT and HJ thru his sunbae's phone

SY dad and YB enters the office and JC staff welcomed them

JC is raising his voice over the phone and it seems the WT and HJ are telling him about the upcoming interrogation

For the ones who is still lurking here waiting for updates, WT and HJ are actually having different versions of dream about JC interrogating SY's dad. So they call to warn JC to follow WT's version of dream (where the interrogation was done by JC's colleague and charges were pressed successfully) but not HJ's (where interrogation was done by JC himself and JC was unable to press any charges). Very interesting how the dream premonitions are used by the trio....

That police is actually quite good looking....dunno if she will play a more significant role in the later episodes, for the cameraman did specially took a close-up shot on her face.

I don't have a theory yet, but I am working on one. I need to see one or two more episodes to see if it is a possibility.

I am trying to theorize their connection to each other and why these individuals have precognitive dreams.  Although JC met HJ when they were younger, he did not start having dreams until she was in trouble.  Could JC have escaped death in motor cycle accident?  Could JC's  precognitive dreams, have something to do with him meeting HJ earlier?  These are the questions I have; therefore, I hope to have an answer in the next two episodes.

    ....

Not sure if the writer will give out the answer in the next two episodes, but I hope the writer can do that logically. I remember getting disappointed at LJS's W when the later episodes did not explain the reality-comic world travels well enough (that writer's other drama Queen In-hyun's Man, however, is THE strongest ever written time-travel series I have ever seen in K-drama. The time sequence and the reason for the lead to have time travel ability were very well-thought out and organized).

What I like about this show is every character not overshadow anyone eventho we have Hallyu star status in this drama... everyone has their own strength and charm.. Even the supporting actor and actress also very good, from young Jae chan and Hong ju, to the actor and actress that act as their father and mother including the cameo role. Although they have small role but it give an impact to the audience like me :) . Then we have the bad evil guy LSY aka Yeo Bum, I feel like I want to punch him (he carry the evil role very well, with his smile and face expression when he pissed off or not satisfied), if there is an award for the bad role I want to nominate him in the list.

    ....

This writer is very good at writing different characters. Even though the colleagues of JC in Prosecutor's Office did shine in spite of short screen times. Like I Can Hear Your Voice, the lead is not pure good and saintly but a bit selfish, who struggles between achieving justice and being a "normal" person. This makes the characters more human and believable.

What i always appreciate about this writer is his ability to help you connect on an emotional level with the characters. Last week I teared for HJ. This week JC's father and son relationship caused me to use some tissue. Now we know why he always seem to take these narcissistic selfies...it is really for dad. It's interesting that while HJ sees her dad as a hero , JC felt some resentment for dad's selfless act. That's what makes him lovable - a flawed character with valid human emotions. ( fangirl moment- one of LJS's strength is the ability to do goofy and serious seamlessly ) She will help him heal.

A very touching moment when you see all those photos in the columbarium~

I agree with this review, emphasized the character of each dreamer.

Is this good or bad? So far, Woo-tak is helpful. But I can't help but notice a thematic intersection here.

    Hong-joo focuses on the details,

Jae-chan focuses on the outcomes, and

Woo-tak thinks about the best way to carefully game the rules.

Of course, all of these focuses are pretty essential.

Woo..can't wait to see how the dragon trio get to work in later episodes.

@Miky88 Like you, I am looking forward for the moment where people realise the nature personality of YB. I believe that JC had to work much harder (hence he finished after his junior) due to his father's death and the problem caused with the bike incident. I think that the bike incident had much more severe consequences than the hurt pride of his father. I believe, the father had to repay for the damages caused by the motorbike accident.

but here I'm develping SLHS: Second Lead Hatred Syndrome :unamused:

There will be no SLS this drama as he’s on my bad list.

YB seems to be the ultimate big boss in this drama....it would be hard for anyone to realize his true nature. Nope, defo no SLS...

The scriptwriter Park Hye-ryun has a pattern in her stories. For I Can Hear Your Voice the big boss is Min Joon-gook, and the second female lead had a birth secret. For Pinocchio, the big boss is the second male lead's mom, and the main male lead has kinda a birth secret.

So this time, think we have to guess WHO is the big boss and WHO has birth secret?

OH MY GOD, yeah it must be!! and that's why the director never showed his right side since it will reveal him wearing a white clothe around his arm (sorry don't know what it's called) which we will get to see later on the more they'll show us our OTP's interlinked past!! so their fathers were heroes who died trying to stop that soldier and now they are reunited again to save people from the bad incident they foresaw through their dreams?!! Awesome!!

Wow, now you mention it, the director must have thought it through about hiding that white stripped armband....he didn't even leave out these minute details.

By the way, it is a pleasant surprise to see the reunion of Kim So-hyun and Shin Jae-ha after Page Tuner, which was written by the same scriptwriter.

    2. Some things are fated or are they? In that scene at the end JC asked NJ why him, why the two of them - they then panned the scene to a young JC picking up NJ's baseball (a sentimental keepsake belonging to her dad) and passing it to her. She was crying here as it was her father's funeral and she had run away to hide in the school hall. It was a nice touch showing their link to each other has already been pre-destined

So JC and HJ meet before in HJ's dad funeral.

I am new to this thread so I don't have the time to read through all the posts. Sorry if anyone have already mentioned the following.

Just before the bus explosion, that soldier had already killed a cop, according to the radio broadcast on the bus. The funeral was not solely for NJ's Dad and but also for that cop (presumably JC's Dad),  who are labelled as "the heroes" as the reporter said outside that funeral home building.

    -------------

On a separate note, I am glad to see SJ has her acting improved (finally!). Although she said she was satisfied with her performance in Uncontrollably Fond, I did not feel the same. Maybe it is because she had more time to rehearse (for it is a pre-produced drama), or that the director and writer understood her strength and weaknesses and thus could show the best side of her this time.

This scriptwriter, Park Hye-ryun, has a very good track record so I have confidence in her writing another enticing piece of work. I am sure Lee Jong-suk also has confidence in her or else he would not choose to be the male lead of her work again after Pinocchio and I Can Hear Your Voice.

And the filming of it is real nice. The frames are quite movie-like and it showcases how dramas can be benefited by the pre-produced model.

Yeah you're right, after the angel became human ( he chose it so he can be together with the doctor), the doctor died ( i think it'truck of doom also if i'm not mistaken), and he ended up alone. Tragic. . It's similar with KS chose to stay so he can be with ET, but then ET died. But well i believe we got happy ending. Though i don't have a clue how to get there. I still think reincarnation is quite a stretch, but i'll take it anyway for happy ending. Lol

Oh the ending really resembles City of Angels in some way....

I always wonder why there's only one Dokkebi in the drama....I mean, according to Korean folktales there're different kinds of Dokkebi-s right? KS would not be so lonely and get some immortal friends....it would be fun to see different Dokkebi-s meeting up :glasses:

basically this is fantasy drama, look how many time jump here

if we used this year timeline (2016)

so basically kim shin is 900 years old +- dunno what year he's born

    1995 eun tak was born

2016 eun tak are 19 going 20 and meet first time with kim shin

2025 eun tak 29 years old, meet kim shin for second time, married and death

2036 park so min born, the reincarnated eun tak (if we used 19  age eun tak meet with kim shin for third time)

2055 eun tak reincarnated park so min meet kim shin for third time in quebec, they meet and back from the start.

at 2055 all still the same,so thats why this is fantasy drama.

Yeah, the ending is REASONABLE (not particularly good or bad) but the future thing bugs me quite a bit....I mean, they can push the story 10 years back, so it won't be too awkward to see a 2016-ish 2025. And then make some attempts in costumes and filming set to make the ending looks more like 2045....(well maybe cuz I am a trekkie  I am pickier than other audience on the cyber stuff...)
