The struggle is real my dear.

Oppa fangirl in me(BHS): He hangs her clothes even after 14 years of marriage as she tell him all about her work and he listens attentively at like 3am in the morning. He cooks fancy meals, cleans, raises their daughter. He says no word about her crazy hours and just lets her sleep in while he cooks or does childcare in the mornings? All the while offering hot sex on demand?. Basically the perfect house husband. He is good looking and well groomed. I’d put up with a semiannual murder spree for that, tbh. Maybe even once every three months. We can negotiate.

Also me(CJW): If I was Cha Ji Won and I found out a man made me take on a fake surname, kept mute while I was being subjected to humiliating treatment for years by those fake in-laws. He would be talking to me via a divorce lawyer and the only thing we would be discussing is child custody of Eun Ha.

LOL..... the dilemma is real.... I understood both views completely, specially Cha Ji Won's view. I, myself a divorcee with children and yes, I would do everything (most of my decisions) for the sake of the children.

Just like Cha Ji Won for Eun Ha. But the difference here in my case, my ex was not LJG/BHS (almost perfect husband/dad for Eunha) hahaha.... so I divorced him right away for kids' sake hahaha....

As for Ji Won, if having a husband like BHS, I would probably keep him and keep his secrets hidden as well... I mean I would keep such handsome husband like LGS by my side LOL.....

  2. did you guys notice BHS is having pain in his chest? in ep 7, I think he starts holding his chest twice (when on the phone with Kim Moo Jin and when talking with his wife in his workshop).... maybe he's not completely healed from almost dead situation and coma....

I imagine after almost being drown and cpr and 10 days in coma in hospital, he maybe not 100% healed. Plus he was so stressed with his wife in the basement, maybe his panic attack is actually 'real', not just because of smell of blood.

Maybe he has other health issues too, now.... not just mental issues. Poor BHS... His life must be so heavy since childhood til now....

    This.

    This too.

I think we can all agree Hyun Soo is a broken and damaged human being who needs a lot of love and healing. But this is an equally traumatizing experience for Ji Won too. Imagine being an upright law enforcer like her but having to hide information about a "suspected killer" because the subject is your husband.Imagine loving and marrying a man for 14 years and then finding out he lied about his identity even his own name. He is still lying to her and she knows he is lying. The pain, anger, betrayal, guilt. Hyunsoo will have to work hard to regain her full trust.

yes, it must be so hard for her, totally agree with you

  4. well Do Hyun Soo's character is very complex, as a child he already "different", no normal child will say "I can't kill him because it will be difficult to get rid of the body"... so creepy. Got bullied as teenager and also quite violence... and also "almost" a thief... and he kidnapped, breaking an entry, etc. Maybe he is not a killer (yet), but he is not innocent either.

I know we have been watching previous episodes mostly from BHS/DHS point of view, now we will see more of CJW's action toward her husband. I personally understood and like CJW character so much, she is such a strong character, MCW does a great job. Most wives will be freak out and run with her daughter if thinking his husband is a murder suspect, even worse a serial killer hahaha... but she's a detective, she wants to prove if her husband guilty or not. She knows already he is DHS and she's been lied to for 14 years, but now she wants to know the reason, and if she could forgive him.... makes sense.

I love how the writer tells us the story, and the director is very detailed... Of course they remember to make viewers happy with sexy bed scene, funny KMJ and police... this drama is a complete package. I hope it won best drama award, best couple, best female actress and best actor... hehe...

Yes. Do Hyun Su mother is also one of serial murder victim. In episode 6, Cha aji Won read Do Hyun Su File investigation, ahjummas said that he didn't even to care even when he heard that they found his mother's body. Why Do Meon Soek kill his wife? Why Do Min Soek must suicide if he really a psicopath. So confused.

I didn't catch that  (I mean I didn't know DHS mother was also a murder victim, I just thought she died before all the killings, and the children only been living with their father in the village). I guess I have to watch that episode again.... uhmmm

Wow, 6pages to back read, you guys  are on fire

I will be enjoying your posts while waiting Viki finish the subtitles for episode 5 & 6

And Two Weeks. Scholar was the latest  one on Netflix, so it has been quite some years his dramas not appearing there....don’t know why

it's all about money/biz contracts and who has the rights to broadcast the dramas... Netflix produces some new ones and buy some older ones... but some of the other dramas probably still own by other broadcasting companies...

I wish Netflix will stream this.

I also hope LJG's dramas are available on Netflix. I kind of wonder why because they're undoubtedly great. Maybe because of the producers but are the producers the same every time? He has good dramas and it's just unfortunate.

I think several of LJG older dramas are on Netflx: Arang, Scholar who walks the night...last time I checked.

Looks like it was a red herring. Baek Hee Sung is using psychological tricks to scare people which is... I guess even worse because it shows he is capable of something like that.

well he's capable biting off the ear of the driver, even though it was "self defense" I didn't see 'normal' people would bite ears off, at least not many movies/dramas show it.

Some movies show psychos cut ears and eat them with knives etc, but bite directly.. it was unexpected.... LOL... (I wonder if the writers is a psychopath.... )

Anyway, my point is, I think BHS is a ADP/psychopath to some extent, but it doesn't mean he is a serial killer or a regular killer, yet...

I like the show making it quite clear that his condition -  ADP - doesn’t meant he doesn’t have any emotions or can’t emote feelings. It’s more about how internally he has difficulties to process them and respond according to social norms (or like regular people). LJK is doing great in his role so far. I can feel his internal confusions and conflicts.

yes he may have and feel some emotions...anyway because of this drama I did a bit of research about APD... hehehe

    https://www.disabled-world.com/disability/types/psychological/adp.php

We now know he got some sort of child abuse/bullying etc when he was young, that cause his APD worsen. But  I think when he met his wife Jiwon, he 'might' feel better and better (maybe feel love-but not realizing it) and I think over the years, his 'ghost' father showing less and less. They show us 14 years ago his ghostly father kept showing but now we don't see him much, and only see one 'happy' family. So I assume that's why he 'needs' Jiwon and said in the beginning ep 1, when he talked to his parents "they were meant for each other". He wants to be good and live peacefully with his family but of course now the past follows him....

Anyway, love love love this drama so much, I'm a huge fan of LJG so I'm so happy he picks the right drama.

I also like the fast pace of each episode, you don't even realize 1hr is over.... my gosh, cant wait for next week.... by the way, congrats for high rating! This drama and all the cast/writer/director deserve it. Daebak!
