- I learned that Healer is "slightly autistic" this explains a lot about his anti-social behavior and also why it is so difficult for him to emotionally connect, or understand the emotions of others - but big break though with Young Shin.
- I learned that Moon Ho hurt Kang Min Jae because she wanted to marry him but he told her she needed to accept she was second because he had a first love. I think that first love is YS, and she tells Healer she had a first love too, who we know is also Min Ho. But now the Healer makes her heart flutter.
- I learned that Ahjumma, was a police detective. That is why she knows the cyber police detective who is tracking down Healer.
- I learned everyone deserted Healer, according to Ahjumma even his halmoni deserts him, and his master.
- As far as Healer's father being a killer, I am definitely in the camp that believes he was framed and that even his suicide was probably framed or forced.
- I am perplexed by Moon Shik's little bedside talk with Myung Hee. He seems so sincere when he tells her that his heart is still in the right place and he just realized he needs power to bring about justice. After he so coldly told Moon Ho about how he is also complicit in all ugly crimes which he knows of but stayed silent, it sort of gives you the shivers, the way he is so kind and sweet to Myung Hee. Especially since we know he has knowledge about how her daughter ended up and kept it from her.

I just saw episode 5 on viki but not fully translated. I cannot wait until it is all subbed and I can learn all the details of everything going on. I love his ability to figure out the physical forces of tipping things around him, we saw that in the beginning when he forced the motorcycle tor ram into the fruit stand.

Hmm... I try to crack the meaning behind "Healer" here. Few people ask about Healer teacher. I assume he went into hiding in 1992 to avoid KMS, whatever he done, he seemed to already kill Healer dad and CYS' parent. So the teacher should go into hiding to save himself. But then, how he could train healer? SJH must meet him at least few times right? Maybe codename "healer" that also used in 1980s (as shown in KMH suitcase) is used by the teacher and then now Seo Jung Hoo inherited "Healer" codename while doing mission. I wonder if the teacher knows ahjumma then. Because "Healer" not yet meeting ahjumma but already working with her, means there's someone or maybe some people connect them... :-? -

I am trying to figure these things out so I went back to the 2nd episode and reread the subs from the suicide scene:
Who broke YS's ribs? The night her parents were killed or people who adopted her? YS says that when she was five years old she was found abandoned by the trash. She does not state that she was hurt or beaten.She then says she was adopted and abandoned again. And then adopted the second time. During the second adoption,YS was beaten so badly her ribs were broken and she wanted to or tried to commit suicide. She was seven years old when she was beaten and I think then she was finally adopted a third time by her good parents. (this is according to the English subtitles on Drama Fever - perhaps there is a different translation because I am reading different interpretations).
Does Moon Shik think YS is dead, or does he know she was left by the trash alive? We have no evidence that Moon Shik really thinks YS is dead. We don't know at this point what specifically he knows or was told about her at that time by the thugs who did that. We know that her parents' home was trashed. We know that when MH gets there he sees her teddy bear. We also know that YS's father tells Healer, never to let her see violence, because she saw something violent and terrible in the past. I don't think that is the beating that left her ribs broken. It is more likely the violence she saw was when her father was killed and mother injured, before she was left by the trash. She says she was told that she was left by the trash, not that she remembers it. So the trauma may have caused her too forget, and violence may shake her recollection and she relives the trauma.
Who trained/raised Healer? The guy on the motorcycle? And his father was another of the friends who was a news reporter?I still cannot figure this out too well. Someone (sorry I cannot credit you) pointed out healer wants to buy that island off the coast of Panama because he was living there at one point with his master?
Why did his mother leave? Could not bear to be reminded of his father? Or to make money? Healer says he has no family when he speaks about the three numbers on his cell phone, he says he has no friends etc.
I am also not sure why MH wants Healer dead. Has it to do with the original package delivery? MH wants to remove all traces? -

Anyway it's good to know that SJH doesn't harbor resentment or wants to take revenge against mom. Instead he's one filial son who even give all red beans to mom and he only eats the ice because mom like them O:-) -
Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young have great chemistry. They make an excellent couple. I hope the cute martial arts girl finds someone too. And Moon Ho's lady boss is always so angry and on edge. I think she can use some love too. I really like this cast of characters.

Big brother runs the news cartel that controls the media. I am wondering if Healer's father and YS's father were killed because they were going to expose big brother or he had sold his soul to a higher power that he was protecting in order to become one of the elite himself, the same way he is offering that deal to his younger brother. He may have betrayed his best friends in order to protect the rich and powerful and insure his own future.

That scene between Young Shin as the tough experienced reporter and the Healer as the shy awkward cub reporter, reminded me of the Superman as Clark Kent when he meets Lois Lane for the first time at the Daily Planet. It looks to me like older brother is the real villain in this. I get the feeling he may have coveted his brother's wife and caused the accident to get her, Maybe he was so guilty he put the little girl up for adoption and told the mother she disappeared and is presumed dead? But Moon Ho must have heard or seen something to make him believe she is still alive and started looking for her.
The Healer was having a nightmare about his childhood. Something happened that made him cut off his emotions. When he saw that picture he says he felt tingling like he was coming back to life? What was it about the picture? -

Healer needs to become more politically involved; CYS could help him by that; she doesn't lack of a certain sense of justice. Her adoptive father is a lawyer; on the other hand, CYS needs to learn from Healer discretion and how to invastigate properly.
My guess, Healer has noticed the picture in MY's room and he will think, MY, MH and MS are all involved in the tragedy of his past. He might think, MH is a bad guy and will try to protect CYS, not knowing, he was his client. -

Hi, thanks for this thread. I first saw Jang Hyuk in Chuno, I was really impressed when he started to cry when his friendly/enemy dies. He was sitting leaning on a tree and sobbing so deeply. Chuno really shows off his strengths (yes, he takes his shirt off).
I also recommend to Jang Hyuk fans, Into the Sunlight. It is a 1999 drama (so not HD). He is really young. It also stars Kim Hyun Joo (Insoon is Pretty, Cruel Palace, BOF - LMH's noona), Kim Ha Neul, Cha Tae Hyun (My Sassy Girl). Jang Hyuk has a strong second lead role. He is a bad boy, riding a motor cycle, smoking a lot, brooding, fist fighting. My favorite line is when he tells a punk "If you ever make my mother cry again, I'll kill you" He also changes his hair in this drama, when he joins a gang he slicks his hair back. One of his mother's neighbors comments that it looked like his hair drowned in a pool. Some people say this is a slow moving drama, but I loved every second. I has a solid moral strain. Love, friendship, commitment, hard work, are all the greater values.

Sorry I cannot keep up with all the posts. My final feeling is that this show was beautifully directed and produced and all of the actors were wonderful. The story became a little too sweet and too long. I thought they could have spent more time on Daniel and the dancer, and even MIL and Dr. Octopus and maybe cut two episodes. But it was still a pleasure watching the leads, because they were so good at playing their parts. :-*

I think he is over. Very sad. But so many flower boys who can sing out there. Why would they invest more money and effort in soiled goods. Sad for him and his family and everyone involved in his life.
It seems like they were in an abusive relationship.

I am enjoying this drama. But it would have been a perfect 16 episode drama. So much is being slowly drawn out. Dr. Octopus should have his license revoked. And lawyer nim should too. The only people who should not give out secrets are blabbing and the ones who should share secrets, don't say anything. ~X(

Did anyone else notice that at the end of episode 6 Bong Soo (Healer) is wearing a coat in the same red/black/white plaid design as YS wore? So cute right. :x
