  1. @luluwannagohome Actually, I don't mind about the Daesang that much, like I always said, good if he wins any awards but I never take it seriously. (Cannes or Oscar is different story lol)

I am not the type that bashes others if my biases don' t win an award.

Choi Min Sik is my favorite but his acting dropped down in Roaring Currents.

I just like how this critic mentioned something that I want you to translate it and a perspective of Korean critics on his acting in IOIL.

This critic cited writer Kim Soo Hyun's words in his previous article lol

Keep fighting! Good luck with your exam *hug*

  2. @luluwannagohome here is the article about the Grand Prize or Daesang of SBS Drama Awards this year. I'm kinda enjoy reading previous aticles of the writer of this article, he is so straightfoward sometimes lol (he is a critic)

    http://baekn.etoday.co.kr/view/news_view.php?varAtcId=30632

Don't need to hurry, dear. Translate if you have some free time, I found it is kinda interesting.

  3. @luluwannagohome Thank you so much, dear *hug*

I had an idea that I would translate the Knetz comments of the news I posted above because the comments were interesting.

@aismile1 I recommend More beautiful than a flower especially Go Doo Shim's performance.

You and I were talking about the same Kim Soo Hyun, right?

I was talking about writer Kim Soo Hyun who wrote many scripts for dramas such as My husband's woman...she always created characters that heightened the acting skills as well, some actors got Daesang for starring in her dramas including Kim Hee Ae.

Anyway, Actor Kim Soo Hyun is cute ^^

You know the writer of What happened in Bali is a man, right?

  4. @moniw18 The still from The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, one of my favorite films.

I want to post news or translations about him and visit this thread as before but whenever I think about that feeling, I lost my passion to do it lol

Anyway, I respect your opinion, dear.

@aismile1 "Kissing scene and more haha" I see, dear and I think so too, I didn't ask you which scences you were talking about because I know what you mean..it seemed like they tried hard to put a lot of those scenes in the drama, I always heard some people talked like this and I was so worried about this point before the drama started aring, same goes for some dramas which I don't like.

Actually, I like most of Noh Hee Kyung dramas especially "More Beautiful Than a Flower" and "Lie" and I admit Noh Hee Kyung always created the center characters that heightened the acting skills of actors, this is the main reason why JIS got the Daesang. She made three people get Daesang...Go Doo Shim, Song Hye Kyo and Jo In Sung.

It will be good if his next drama is writer Kim Soo Hyun's project but OMO ;)

For a female lead, I think Lee Da Hee (I Hear Your Voice) will suit him well.

  5. @aismile1‌ Welcome to this thread, dear.

His Jung Jae Min role in What Happened in Bali is his breakout role even the acting was not so good at that time but is unique

What do you think about the ending?

Actually Lee Soo Jung (played by Ha Ji Won) really loves Jung Jae Min (played by Insung) but she didn't want to give her dignity which is her last pride to him.

Talking about It's OK, It's Love, Right? I feel you, the main lead's imaginary friend is one of the best thing of this drama.

@tim163 If he will have a reunion with Ha Ji Won, I think it should be a melodrama again

    ;)

  6. I would like to clarify somthing because I think some people twisted my words around and didn't get the point I wanted to say.

I want to emphasize here, I'm not a shipper, I like Kim Min Hee before she dated Insung...like her because she dated Insung even more and I still like her until now.

I don't hate Gong Hyo Jin, you can check out my comment related to her on It's OK it's Love thread in earlier page.

I want to inform the fact, Jo In Sung long time fans don't like shipping him with his co-stars not only on Soompi, (his Chinese long time fans as well) because we don't like shipping of characters from a show crosses into his private life. Some may like him with any his co-stars but NO SHIPPING.

I also mentioned other his co-stars on this thread but it was not for hidden shipping purpose...I even mentioned Kim Min Hee on this thread in the past because she was his girlfriend at the time.

I'm 30 and I have liked him for a long time since Shoot for the Stars in 2002 so I never have trouble separating fantasy from reality...I'm not the type that was happy when Insung broke up with Kim Min Hee so that he could go out with either Song Hye Kyo or Gong Hyo Jin... I always respect all his co-stars and considered them as "his friends". He used  to say he won't date his co-stars, dear.

Not only for Gong Hyo Jin, there was someone posted a shipping thing related to Insung-Song Hye Kyo couple in the past on this thread, non-shipping fans were annoyed with that thing as well so that person has never posted any shipping things on this thread since then. And if you ask me, there was not a special relationship between Insung and Song Hye Kyo, they are just friends.

My patience reached its limit because someone doubted @luluwannagohome 's efforts by asking if the translator is "Korean native" or not instead of being grateful to her for taking time to translate. She has been a translator of this thread for a long time and she is a real Jo In Sung fan.

Some considered me "unfriendly" but I have a question who is the first person replied to @ xoxoforme on this thread?

Don't worry you guys, I am a person who criticize even my biases somehow as well and not the type that flatters everything he does like it is always right.

My point is that you can post anything related to Jo In Sung on this thread except for shipping things...this is not Jo In Sung DCInside or shipping thread...you can post shipping comments as much as you want on shipping ones.

  7. [10LINE] Ko Hyun-jung on 2009.11.03

    Cho In-sung

A very close younger actor to Ko. He will say “I don’t like easy women” when Ko asks if he would marry her. The two starred together in Ko’s comeback TV series “Spring Days”. “Spring” was the only series in which she played the typical role of a pure and innocent girl involved in a three-way relationship since becoming popular. But viewers did not think strangely of Ko who had almost no lines in the beginning of the drama. Of course, it was because of her “shut-off” marriage life. Ko had learned how to objectify herself while she was married, but to viewers, she was a mysterious actress who had disappeared at the pinnacle of her acting life. This was probably the hardest time of her life. She said returning to the screen “was huge consolation to her situation where she had nothing to replace the space which had been so precious to her.”

Can read the whole article here http://www.asiae.co.kr/news/view.htm?idxno=2009110317465238463

  8. @sunshine4ever You became active on this thread again :x

@luluwannagohome Yes, dear...and this is the second time she invited him...I love their friendship.

Anyway, Thanks for all your translations as always...you always did good jobs, dear...I also checked that vid and there were nothing wrong with your translation.

I hope I won't see just a word like"그녀" became such a big deal on this thread.

  9. @timi163 You and I know he won't join it but it's kinda interesting because Sunny is there...Song Hye Kyo should join too, there will be a love triangle...sounds like soap opera plot, right? lol I am not good when it comes to imagination kkkkk

I don't know why but I really miss his old co-stars nowadays...Jun Do Yun, Ko Hyun Jung, Ha Ji Won.

You saw Insung and Ko Hyun Jung pics today already, right?

Their friendship is so strong, this is the second time he went to Dongguk university with her.

I can still remember...it's kinda funny, people overthought their relashionship when they hung out together (just the two of them) in the past...Insung is comfortable around and still keep in touch with his co-stars that he thinks he is friends with...he has many female friends.

Like I always said, time will prove everything ^^

@hclover96 thanks for information always ^^

  10. @timi163 lol I'm so used with R-rated scences in art house films and Korean films so I was not shocked at all...the ones that I have wached were wayyy more explicit than Frozen Flower. threre were just breasts and buttocks in Frozen Flower while other awarded films featured *that part* of both female leads and male leads.

I started liking Kim Go Eun from A muse because of her acting skills plus her attitudes.

I have been more interested in films and have learned everything related to film production so it's kinda weird I started liking Insung from Shoot for the Stars.

Song Joong Ki's buttocks skin is so fair, right? lol   He is Insung's dongsaeng that I like the most.

@mjj12 I see, dear and I respect every opininons including yours as long as it is not a delusion and I'm sure you are not that type.

I'm not the type that flatter or is too bias when it comes to my bias as well, you can ask @ hclover96 lol I also criticized Insung at some point related to his disposition that I get annoyed.

Koreans are consevative in outsiders eyes but they are open to western culture including art than outsiders think...they really like Tang Wei who acted in Lust, Caution.

  11. @mjj12 DEAR...I have one thing to say...it's so normal in Korean films industry and I always really appreciated Yoo Ha for giving him such a great role in both A Dirty Carnival and Frozen Flower. I  considered his role in Frozen Flower as the role that made him a real actor more like Korean media also think.

"I know he wouldn't agree nor choose to do this film if he knew from the start that it would surpass his limitations or ruin his imag" dear, it didn't ruin his image...if it was like you said, he wouldn't have many CFs after discharge, right?

And actually Insung knew that there were R-rated scene after he accepted the role but he acknowledged about it surely before started filming, Song Ji Hyo as well.

I have been interested in art house films all around the world including Korean films since high school so I'm so familiar with this kind of scene, Korean films is influenced by European films.

If you noticed from my favorite actors...Insung, Choi Min Sik and Kim Go Eun used to do it...dear, both Insung and Choi Min Sik are top class in Korea.

And if you think Frozen Flower is extremely explicit, please watch No Regret of Kim Nam Gil (I really like this film) A Muse of Park Hae IL and Kim Go Eun (Kim Go Eun is my love) and Thirst of Song Kang Ho which featured full frontal adult male nudity ( I really love him) and all these films are considerd as art films, receiving many praises from critics.

Of course, they didn't have real sex and body doubles were used instead in some scenes.

But just because Frozen Flower is more popular among international fans because of the cast and it was a big budget film.

Jun Do Yun, one of the most acclaimed actresses in Korea still did a film which had scenes that showed her breasts after her marriage in The Housemaid.

I don't know what sources you have read but it was not a big deal in the past. Insung always mentioned Frozen Flower not only once but many times, if it was really bad for his career, he wouldn't mention it, dear.

  12. @AnnW "A year after MS, there was no movie/drama offer for JIS. All he did was CFs." "MS" You talked about "Military service", right?

I'm not the type to defend my bias or anything but I just want to inform the fact.

Actually, many offered the roles in movie and drama to Insung including "Ice Blade" and Lee Kyung Hee's drama.

As far as I have read Korean articles about Insung...an interviewer asked him why he turned down many offers after discharge until That Winter The Wind Blows...he answered the interviewer that he waited for the right roles which he wanted to act. (I think I should translate this article on Insung thread)

He liked Oh Soo character...he initially hesitated to accept the role but Ko Hyung Jung asked him "What is the problem? and persuaded him to do the role.

Celeb who can have many CFs in Korea is meant that person is so popular, dear (of course, all around the world as well) how dare agencies hired the one who is not well known in the country to promote their products?  how weird if he can have many CFs but no one offered him any roles like you said?

"JIS traveled to Himalaya for a CF, NO ONE recognized him in Incheon" You talked about the pic that he wore glasses?

    - On behalf of Jo In Sung long time fans-

  13. @badsmuler In What happened in Bali, Both Insung and So Ji Sub couldn't compare to Ha Ji Won in terms of acting tbh but he just so charming in this one.

Knetz still complained his acting in What Happened in Bali while In TWTB they didn't but praised his acting instead.

Of course, Song Hye Kyo is more outstanding in TWTW( but Insung is great and better than in What happened in Bali for sure)....Song Hye Kyo is the center of the drama same as Insung in IOIL...it kinda weird because Noh Hee Kyung always focused on female leads more than male leads but she focused on Jang Jae Yeol in IOIL.

Insung is so lucky to receive this role from Noh Hee Kyung, the person that Insung should thank to the most.

DO as well for his role in first drama with such a deep character. He did best because the character is so good and himself not because of Insung.

Kim Min Hee became a good actress after she acted in Noh Hee Kyung's drama.(she always was bashed by critics and Knetz before)

  14. @timi163 love you, dear.

"but everytime he won an award he always credit his achievements to his  co-star" Yes, he always does it but it annoys me at some point even I have been his fan since shoot for the star...I can't get used to it I think lol

He said in his interview, he can't act well in That Winter The Wind Blows without Song Hye Kyo.

He still praised Ha Ji Won until 2013...said she is pretty in 2008.

He loves his female leads so much lol

I don't know why but I really miss Insung with Ha Ji Won...I always really appreciate her for Insung breakout role in What Happened in Bali, he was not so good at acting at that time but I think this drama is the most important one for his career... the drama that made him into this top star position.

hope they will work together again soon.

    "OLD Insungers" kkkkkkkkkkk
