I think so too...she is so cautious.
She didn't appear at APAN Awards due to that subject and I think it is good for her.

I have one thing to say and I want him to know...I like him because of his impassioned acting style which is similar to Choi Min Sik, I hope he won't change his acting style in next projects...the unique acting is his trademark...if he acted with the opposite style, I wouldn't like him like this .
He received Daesang from APAN because his acting in IOIL is the deepest one...Jang Jae Yeol character has so much emotional depth, complicated and was the center of the drama like Korean critics said.

He attands the award event so it means he will receive an award for sure but I'm not sure for Daesang because Jo Jae Hyun attands it, he can win too. I'm happy and will keep trusting this award as well if Jo Jae Hyun wins...I like him.

@xoxoforme "since we wanted him to win." I have one thing to say...good if he wins any awards but I never take it seriously...many Koreans actors never ever won any Daesang but people know how good their acting skills were.
Btw, when I talked about the review of his acting, it is based on Korean critics mainly not Knetz or media.

I wasn't tbh, dear...because If you talk about the Grand Prize from the channel, it includes all the factors...popularity, ratings, acting skills...I Can Hear Your Voice had all of these factors, especially the drama itself was highly praised.
That Winter The Wind Blows had both popularity and ratings also but if you compared it to I Can Hear Your Voice, the latter was more popular.
I really appreciated KBS Drama Awards last year, they focused on acting skills mainly...giving Kim Hye Soo the Grand Prize from Queen of the office which had average ratings of 13% same as TWTWB.
And if you talk about Insung's acting in TWTWB, yes, it is great but not extremely stood out from all the actors that year.
I have been a fan of his since Shoot for the Star (in this drama he got a praise but after this, he didn't until A Dirty Carnival) so I knew how Knetz used to talk about his acting...Actually, Jo In Sung got recognized for acting skills from Yoo Ha's A Dirty Carnival (before his enlistment ) which international fans haven't watched it much...that's why I thank Yoo Ha. I always consider his "Byung Doo" role in this film as one of his masterpieces...even critics who always criticized him priased him highly as well. he earned best actor awards from this film where he cried when he received the award and after that I have never seen him cry again when receiving any awards.
For SBS Drama Awards last year, the channel itself gave Lee Min Ho Top Excellence Actor in a Drama Special Award only and the rest based on fanbase voting...Popularity Award...Best Couple...Best Dressed which international fans could vote on twitter. Song Hye Kyo got one award of Top Excellence Actress in a Miniseries...So Ji Sub got one award of Top Excellence Actor in a Miniseries...Jo In Sung got one award of SBS Special Award which was inferior to Grand Prize ONLY and the reason why SBS gave him this award, I don't want to explain further because I don't want to implicate others like I said before.
edit- I forgot lol Insung, Song Hye Kyo, So Ji Sub, Lee Min Ho also received Top 10 Stars Awards.
SBS decided to give Daesang Award to Son Hyun Joo in 2012 even A Gentleman's Dignity had higher ratings (and Jang Dong Gun, dear...) but The Chaser was more popular in Korea in my opinion.
The point that I want to say is that "Don't worry if your acting is extremely outstanding and your drama is popular enough (I am talking about popularity not ratings), you will be recognized" I'm sure SBS will give him an award this year but I don't know what award...
Wait and see...between IOIL and TWTWB which had higher ratings, which one makes him get more recognized from award giving bodies.
P.S. We all have our own opinions, dear...you can express your own opinion and I respect it.

@xoxoforme ^^ Jo In Sung is one of the most famous stars in Korea and SBS favors him for sure, that's why SBS gave him special award last year...What Happened in Bali is a very special drama for Insung and even for SBS as well, Korean people still talk about it until these days... this drama made many Koreans start loving him including celebs.
Lee Min Ho also likes Insung.
Ahhhh I forgot to talk about the couple award, maybe Insung with DO kkkkk because SBS used fanbase voting for best couple.

He is also very intimate with Han Hyo Joo...can gaze in to her eyes easily without any shyness.

@timi163 @xoxoforme just my opinion I got from Korean articles I have read about it.
Actually, all awards in any awards ceremony are inferoir to Daesang (grand prize)...I think SBS tried to deal a complicated thing that year lol...The award he received from SBS last year based on his performace in TWTB as well but I don't want to explain further because it's so complicated and I don't want to implicate others.
Special Award he received kinda look like lifetime achievement award of Kim Soo Mi but his award was announced in the most important part of the awards ceremony and if you notice from Korean sites or even English sites, his name is under Daesang's winner only.
Last year, also had Kwon Sang Woo from Yawang who has been successful with SBS dramas or Go Soo who signed an exclusivity contract with the channel.
If you notice SIA awards...of course this is related to style. he had TWTB last year and IOIL this year, Song Hye Kyo also was nominated last year from TWTWB.
I believe SBS will give him an award this year for sure.
@ timi 163 Like I said before, Baeksang Arts Awards is the most prestigious awards for TV in South Korea (They also has awards for film but Grand Bell and Blue Dragon are more prestigious) but the judges of APAN Awards are more believable for me.

I found this is kind of intersting.
The nominees are out for the 2014 APAN Star Awards, yet another glittery awards ceremony and this one in particular is a recent new arrival on the awards scene in the last few years. It's connected to the Daejeon Drama festival and is limited to dramas that ran from November 1st 2013 through September31, 2014 on all three major networks along with cable channels. Basically all the dramas we've watched this year minus the ones that just started or have yet to air.
Last year's winner of the Daesang (Top Prize) at the APAN Star Awards was Song Hye Kyo for That Winter, the Wind Blows. This year any of nominees for Top Excellent Actor or actress have a shot at the Daesang. Scanning the names I'd put my money on it come down to Jeon Ji Hyun, Jo In Sung or Ha Ji Won. I'm more excited for a Kim Soo Hyun-Lee Min Ho fanbase showdown or the mutually loathing fanbase of Kang So Ra and Jin Se Yeon to duke it out since they are rivals nominated in the same acting category.

@Hello_JIS yes, for most of these kind of award events but if you look at Daesang's winners of this award you will understand what I said... Son Hyun Joo (that year had Jang Dong Gun's Gentleman's dignity which had higher ratings) and Song Hye Kyo (Insung, Lee Bo Young and Go Soo was also nominated in Daesang category last year)
"even who will attend this event and who will not " to be honest, dear ... this is not one of the factors, actually celebs always know before attending what awards they will receive or they will receive the awards or not...it is kind of funny if the judges only give the awards to any actors just because of being attending the awards event...Song Hye Kyo even didn't attend SBS drama awards last year but she received best actress from this award, dear.

And talking about the popularity of IOIL in Korea, yes, IOIL has not that high ratings but it is one of the popular dramas in Korea this year...viewer raings is important but not the only thing they use to judge the popularity of any dramas...look at Lie of Noh Hee Kyung and almost all her dramas.

@princesscinderella "i just love him because he's so humble" his extreme humble attitude irritates me sometimes tbh (but it works well in Korea)...good to be humble but it seems he looks down on himself if it is too much.

@badsmuler "personally i still thought that his best performances are in Memories of Bali, A Dirty Carnival and IOTL" I think the same but except for What Happened in Bali...the main factor he received best actor from this drama just because of the popularity...not bad but not so good, he acted with his unique style at that time though. I think his performance in That Winter The Wind Blows is one of his best performances.
So next awards event is SBS Drama Awards, Korean media preditced Jun Ji Hyun, Kim Soo Hyun and Jo In Sung for Daesang like they predicted Lee Bo Young and Jo In Sung for SBS's Daesang last year. As I said before, Don't take it seriously about the awards.
Hope Gong Hyo Jin will get an award from SBS for her work too.
