I'm so addicted to this drama that I'm checking out as many discussion boards as I can find lol. Love reading all your thoughts.
Wow! Ep 18's transformation of Xiao Liu to her true identity and form as Xiao Yao - a visual treat - superb performance and special effects. Yang Zi is the perfect cast for 6+XY! I cannot imagine anyone else for this role!
This "lotus transformation" scene reminds me of LoF and YM's role. Fond memories. That was sooo good too.
SpoilerI'm impressed and in awe of this LYF production - from casting to plot pacing to CGI special effects to settings, and more!

Just binged this wonderful sisterhood drama. It's been on my to-watch list. Wish I had watched it when it was airing, but never too late anyway.
So heartwarming, inspiring, and also, heartwrenching. Anyone who watches this drama and could stop your tear ducts from being activated, drop me a message. I have a "reward" for ya lol. I cried buckets, needless to say. But it was so darn good - the crying, the sisterhood, and the romance!
Love it! Highly recommend it!

Chen Kun as Chen Gong is the husband of Sun Yi as Di Yue. She's also the younger sister of Bai Yu as Xun Xu. Hopefully, we'll get to see some affection between the spouses? But, it seems Cui Yue has a dark side to her? Or shall I say, a hidden agenda?
As for Angelababy as Liu Ying, she will be rescued by Xun Xu during the warring chaos, and because of that, she will be having a crush on (or rather, "be in love" with) him? Though it may just be another hidden agenda?
LOL. I am just as curious as you are (and I haven't read the book), and just as hopeful for some emotionally touching scenes. Whatever it may be, I'm sure it will be a superb production.

This drama started off well, in S1, but now, after having caught up with all current season's available episodes, I'm not so sure if it's still a drama (in the normal sense of the word) or a collection of "drama" (i.e. dramatic events that are way beyond human comprehension lol).

I agree. FBB apparently had tons of solid backers but none could do anything to help her.
It does look like DL may be out of the C-ENT scene for a long time, if not indefinitely. Tax evasion is a big problem as far as the authorities are concerned.
Lately, it seems there's another problem relating to fans' subscriptions? I have stopped reading about DL now. It's just too sad for this rising star, and I was not an avid fan of his, though I loved some of his dramas. And was particularly looking forward to The Night Wanderer.

For me, the CP stole my heart. They are hot, overflowing with chemistry, and so natural as a bickering to loving couple.
Individually, I'm very impressed with both Yang Zi and Xiao Zhan. They both did a fab job bringing us into the life and love of Lin Zhixiao and Gu Wei. And YES, Xiao Zhan is especially charming as Gu Wei.

There are two versions. An original uncut version of 29 episodes (aka DVD version), and a TV version of 32 episodes because each episode was cut to fit the TV station's scheduling and advertising needs. Plot-wise, no change.
I'm very happy for Yang Zi and Xiao Zhan for the great ratings this drama has achieved. They both went through a very tough time and emerged in good form. Congrats!

Yes, a HE. I'm satisfied though it could have been better.
From what I've read on C-net, the ending was filmed during the beginning phase of restriction (pandemic), so skinship was pre-empted. Too bad for us lol. They do have very good chemistry.

I'm surprised to see an almost "dead silent" discussion here.
This is a very good production, IMO. Not just for Xu Kai and WJY, an adorable CP, but also for the food showcase, the script (full of memorable golden quotes), the culture, the music, the overall cast, and the cinematography of it. It's a pity Soompiers don't appreciate it.
Love the OST! Beautiful! And well sung by both Lu Hu and Wang Yizhe respectively.
SpoilerBack to more of the Royal Feast. It's a real delight, and it makes me hungry as I watch it. lol...

Sad to see QM turning bad in this way, and using her evil beginning to trick a good man like QX. She intentionally made him drunk and intentionally pretended to be QY, when he was moping over her, to seduce him. I was feeling bad for her after Wang Shun's violation, but now, I pity QX. Still, I hope QX would get over losing QY to LY.
This CP is a real joy to watch lol.

LY did confess to her last week. But I can't remember which episode. In ep19/20, he pretty much kept hinting to her that he is not 100% pretending to be jealous and trying to keep her maidenhood. I think QY is just in denial lol. Or like she said, her priority is to restore her family/its reputation, and to avenge her family's downfall.

Gosh! Finally binged through eps 1-18 and it wasn't hard. This drama is addictive and I am finding it hard to wait for what comes next lol. Loving the pace and development of the plot, and esp love this CP. They are funny and bickeringly-hot!
This drama is one of the best I've seen so far (in so far as its cast, plot and pace are concerned), and it is truly addictive. This CP is quite new to me but they are just hitting all the right notes in this drama, and with each other. Sparks literally fly lol.
SpoilerI'm normally not one to seek out new teasers and actually dislike spoilers, but for this drama and this CP, the wait is just too long lol. This 19-24 teaser preview makes the wait even more excruciating lol. QY will be Su Yiwan...

Yes, he did and it was with valid reasons.
I'm glad the writer didn't drag this out too much. After all, QM likes QX and we know LY likes QY. My heart goes out to 2ML though. He's every bit a gentleman and truly treats QY with sincerity and sweetness. I'm wondering if and how QM would be able to gain his fancy later, or if at all possible.
