That is a valid point. Also i agree that its a risky move to bet on such a rookie line up to head line such an ambitious project. I came to this drama totally unprepared and without any expectation whatsoever and even then i was taken aback when i see so many idols lol.

On another note, just wanted to add how i managed to finish 20+ hours of red sleeve which is a very angsty romance with very obvious ending... is that considered self torture or...

I too loved the Red Sleeves. It was one of the best k-drama for me although I didn't love the ending.

TVN is totally trolling us, because this is the cliffhanger going into the final weekend. They are trying to pump up viewership rates.

Notice the penultimate scene before the flash-forward TV interview was them supporting each other in their pain of losing YR to Russia. They have reached an ironclad understanding of each other, that they show up at the tunnel together.

But they need to keep their relationship and wedding a secret in order to protect BHJ's career. Same reason why NHD's mother could not reveal their mother-daughter relationship. The clips of Ep 15 show them together - meeting up in a hotel (prob during an overseas competition) and in his room.

They spent 14 episodes building up their relationship. There is no time for a new story arc to break them apart.

My guess is Ep 15 will give us closure for their relationship up till 2009, and then Ep 16 will show the present.  BHJ coming home. Grandma with early dementia. (My hope - WJ and SW together.)

This is the best and most logical explanation for me! @Phoenix Klaw I hope you are right! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for making my wait more bearable.

  3. I am resigned to the fact that BYJ did not end up with NHD. It is just so hard to let it go… Most of us went through that first love thinking that it would last. The naive and romantic me can’t help but continue to root for them. Hoping and wishing fervently that it is a first love that lasts and lasts. As good as the story is, I will still be broken by the lack of a happy ending between our leads. Fighting!

I wanted to say this since last week. The directing. God, the directing! The directing is reallyyyy good. I love how they always put transition of paralelled events in the match. It adds necessary layers to the match and to the narrative as well. Little Hee Do is so adorable and the father daughter moment got me in tears. That scene when Hee Do explains to Yi Jin that athletes can feel who's faster is just beautiful. Props to the actors and directors who give life to it.

I notice that Tae Ri has this sparkling eyes even in the scene when she's not crying/being emotional. This is actually my first time watching her and i wonder does she always have that soulful eyes, is it the editing effect, or is she just so tired and lack of sleep? Anyway she's really a gem.

Forgot to add this, i see ep 8 text preview. Seems like today Hee Do will find out about his ex gfs, with plural "s" :eats2:

Hi @bee_wannabecan u share the text preview, please?! Thank you!

  5. I want a happy ending for our OTP!!!! They are just so cute together. I can’t take another ambiguous ending after The Red Sleeves.  Sadly, they don’t seem to be together! Episode 4 is heart fluttering. I smiled like a fool towards the end too. Is their relationship changing? It seems that BYJ is falling in love with our heroine. Next Saturday feels like an eternity away! ❤️

  6. Me too! I remember the IMF days! My parents were hit hard. I thought that pagers were so cool… And those big boxy cell phones.. TDF! I wanted them so bad. I have never watched NJH’s dramas. He is an eye candy though! :tounge_xd: I am not sure how I feel about his acting yet. But KTR she is a gem! She is carrying the drama for me! I love their friendship! Perhaps many of us have had that sunbae hoobae relationship in school too… bringing it closer to home! Rooting for tomorrow!

  7. I also think that she loved him tremendously. She loved him more than she loved herself hence she gave up on her independence to be with him. I just hope  that San knew how much DI loved him because she truly did and it would be sad if he didn’t see it. What a drama! I have a tendency to lose interest in a drama after episodes in but TRS held me in from beginning to end. This is a series that I will be watching again and again..

  8. Omg! This is such a beautiful series! I was smiling so coyly throughout episode 10. The relationship and chemi between the leads …. so heartwarming!!! I have not watched their work prior. I am smitten! KDW is so calming and SHJ is just a cutie pie! This is my go-to series at the moment. A light hearted series that makes your heart full. Cant wait for next week!
