Has anyone watched the movie? I'm dying for a drama god to let them be the otp in a period drama. I'm still so sad over DH&FJ. I'm still bitter that the they didn't buy the rights & now some yahoo's are playing their parts & have their supposed happy ending. I think they have the best chemistry with each other. They are just so compatible.
Real life wise, I think they are pretty close, maybe not the dating close.

I love Vengo & Dilraba! I loved their chemistry since weibo. It was such a bittersweet story for them in 3l3w. It was so unfair that they didn't even get one kiss scene. That was so uncalled for. I honestly think that the producer didn't think that DJ &FJ would get so much love or so popular! I think yangmi just threw them in to promote her actors but definitely didn't think that they would be so popular. If it wasn't for their amazing chemistry & acting, DH & FJ would be extremely annoying. They made the characters come to live. Vengo was absolutely awesome in both roles as DH & mortal king. They have the best chemistry with each other. If they bought the first book, they should have bought the 2nd one. Now I can't see a complete story if them. Needless to say I won't be watching their replacement. I can't see anyone but them as DH & FJ. I satisfied my craving by re-reading the book multiple times.

And Ye Hua didn't jump after Su Su? I think that's because he's in his phoenix form just like Crystal with her 9 tails form when she was fighting.
Did you see how hot Yang Yang is in his black outfit? OMG they fight so beautifully! They definitely pick the right pair for the roles. Seriously, how can Crystal Liu stay so young?

I take it back about the bad costumes for the movie version. After watching the movie trailer, everything including the costume really come together. I don't know about the acting but the trailers, visual appeal of the main leads & the costumes are awesome! From looks, Yang Yang & Crystal definitely look more the part than Mark & Yangmi. little boy is so cute! It has a completely different feel altogether, more dramatic. But it's 1.5HR movie, it has to be more dramatic to catch the viewers. They don't have 58 hrs to draw the viewers like the movie. I also have to say the fighting look better than the drama. After all, both Yang yang & crystal are no strangers to fight scenes in period drama. I would be very sad if the drama didn't live up to its' trailer.

I'm not loving the side characters costumes but I love loVengo Yang Yang & Crystal's costumes. They look absolutely gorgeous. But then again, I knew they would.

Been so busy with work and some sad incident in life that I haven't been visiting. I am completely on 3L3W withdrawal that I don't know how many time I have replay some of my favorite scene (starting from when YH and BQ first met). But on the good note,I finally complete chapter 2 of the Mo Yuan/Shaowan fanfic: https://asianafiction.wordpress.com/ Honestly I am not sure where this fanfic will go since fanfic is not my forte particular chinese xianxia type, LOL.
I have to agree. It's a little overdone. It looks more like a cartoon. But atleast the costumes for the main leads are nice & not overdone. So I wonder why they did that for the side characters? I like the simplicity of the drama.

I also watched "general & I" & I really loved it. But the ending is just absolutely horrible editing! The background is absolutely horrible but the story made up for it. It is true that Angela is not the best actress but she really improved & brought her character to justice. I think in terms of comparing lead acting for both dramas, I think they are pretty much on par with each other. But Mark is the better kisser in my opinion. But I like the main characters from General & I better. To me, they are stronger as an Individual as well as a couple. I would choose the character of BPT over BQ any day. I love BPT. I love the facy that even though she doesn't know martial arts, but she is not a damsel in distress. She saved Wallace just as much as he saved her. BPT brain is just amazingly quick. Her brain has the power to save a country. But three lives has much much better background & side characters. I am more drawn to three lived for the main reason is because of the chemistry between Vengo & Dilraba. While I think the chemistry between Wallace & AB is decent, but it's not explosive like Vengo & Dilraba. I think mostly because the acting skills between Wallace & Angela is not balanced. The same reason why I am not drawn to Mark & yangmi chemistry. Both lead guys acting completely outweighed their partners. Vengo & Dilraba are somewhat newbies & they definitely are not better than these veterans, but they are equal & their acting for some reasons just really balance each other out.

I think that near the end, before the big battle, DH attitude changed a little. He didn't look so tortured to see FJ following him anymore. In fact, he looked kind of happy & calm. I think if at the end, he didn't lor all his power to save FJ & had to go into a deep sleep to recover, he might of just be like his drama alter ego & fight fate.
Anyway, Yangmi is the owner of their studio. Hopefully, seeing such a huge reactions from the fans to this awesome OTP, perhaps, she might give them a chance to be the main OTP one day. I can only hope.

I think Yang Yang & Crystal will be great. But I will also want to be fair to them that they don't have 58 hrs to get used to their characters or the movie will be able to be able to work out all the details like a 58 eps drama.
I have no doubt that Yang Yang will bring a different side of YH - maybe a more younger feeling kind. Different actors different feel as long as they understand their characters & bring it to the viewers. I've seen Yang Yang work & he is great. So far, Yang Yang always did his characters justice. As for crystal, her beauty in the period Era & her out of this world aura has been undefeated. I love Crystal but I can admit that she is not the best actress out there but she has improved tons & BQ is not a hard role to play so I have no doubts on her ability. However, what I am most concerned about is the chemistry. Mark & yangmi had 58 eps to build their chemistry but Crystal & yang yang only has 1/10 of their time to build theirs. With such a short amount of time, if the chemistry is not great, the movie will be just so-so, considering that they cannot compensate it in other ways. I'm also sure that DH & FJ story most likely not be included which is ok because they weren't heavily mentioned in the book anyway.

I'm always like he should get more lead roles. But Vengo is not doing too bad as he's only in acting business for 4 years.
I think they look incredibly matching with each other. Maybe it's because they both look exotic.
That was one of the things I love about watching DH. Even though he is no longer the ruler, but his authorative & kingly aura never goes away even when he was in the mortal realm. There was never any doubt who was the one with the real power. Everything about him screamed power. Maybe it's because Vengo is so tall & his body stature is so broad, & he doesn't crouch. His modeling skills definitely came in handy. He used that so well to help FJ to reclaim her aunt's innocent in that trial with SJ. Everyone knew that DH didn't care about these women issue if it wasn't for FJ. I never doubt that he loved FJ just as much as YH loved BQ. I guess it just wasn't their drama. The fact that he creepily carried her tail with him spoke volumes.

I'm excited for the movie version, but I gotta say, yangmi and mark def top notched their acting for the drama series! Mark will always have the best and saddest eye and facial expressions in my heart!
I will also watch it for Vengo. Vengo should have more chances to be the lead. These suave looks suit Vengo so well. It looks like cutting out of the esquire magazine. My fav of his after the DH look. It's weird but I have to say his silver hair is my absolute favorite. It's like he was naturally born with silver hair which is obviously not true.
Dilabra & Vengo have such amazing chemistry with each other that I hope some drama god will give them a chance to be the lead couple in period drama again. But this time I hope Vengo will be the one to chase Dilabra since Dilabra had to chased after him twice.

just a few thoughts as well... Yangmi did a great job with the few last episodes. I cried so much along with her when YeHua died. One of my favorite lines from Bai Qian was when she said, "So what if the bell of east emperor is triggered? So what if all the deities of all realms are vanquished in flames? At least we'd still be together. How could you leave me all on my own?" Gosh, YeHua.. You've got to be my favorite leading man In dramas of all time! He loves BQ so much. Second would be Donghua of course!
I loved pillow book and when I watched the drama, DH and FJ's love story was very different, however, I still really liked their drama version as well since Dilireba and Vengo did such an amazing job. I can never imagine anyone else playing DH and FJ. I felt that DH had a really hard time too after coming back from the moral realm, but just chose not to express himself (like usual lol). After hearing the cast for the new pillow drama, I feel like I'd give it a try just because I love the storyline, but I'm not too impressed with the rumored casts. *sighs why can't they just ask Vengo and Dilireba to play those roles again?!
I watched SuJin's eyes get taken out and the interrogation of her cases like 6 times because it was such sweet revenge! She deserved all that punishment for her actions--but I do pity her too because she did all of that due to her love and obsession for YeHua. She just didn't know when and how to let go.
On the other hand, I really loved Siming, ChengYu and Liansong. Does anyone know if Liansong and Chengyu's book has been translated or not? I'd love to read it since I know I'll have to wait for a long time for sexy shifu's lol.
Little dough is adorable. I'm so proud of him for working so hard when YeHua was still sleeping. I love little doughs responses in pillow book. BQ was lecturing him that he couldn't recite a book which his dad when his dad was his age and he replied, "That's because I inherited my brains from you and not dad!" Lol! Because we all know YeHua is extraordinary and smart.
I also thought that DH was having as much hard times as FJ or maybe even more so. FJ can atleast vent it out & share it with her aunt but DH can't share it with anyone. Everyone knew about his feelings for FJ but they can only shook their heads because their fates have supposedly been determined. Like Vengo said in one of his character interviews, DH always thought that he doesn't need love until one day he encountered a cute little fox. It was due to Vengo expressing how much DH felt mentally tortured that he had to reject FJ that the viewers can see how much DH loved FJ even though he never said so.

I am sad, can't see Yehua Marc Chao and Bai Qian Yangmi in the next drama (Pillow Book)
They are perfect Yehua and Bai Qian.
Episode 30 is my favorite
All I can say is don't have any high hopes. Keep it really low. That way you won't be too disappointed.
I'm happy with just reading the novel so i will skip the drama. I wish the author would expand to one more chap. But all the side clips are nice additions.

I think the role of FJ&DH are both hard roles. Whoever play this roled have to be versatile & have to have amazing chemistry with each other.
FJ is supposed to be very beautiful but not in a sexy way. She's beautiful in a graceful & playful way depending on the situations. She's very lively & cute when she's in a playful mood but very graceful when serious. As for DH, he is supposed to be gorgeous with silver hair. While his personality is known to be lazy, idle & an absolute bully, but is naturally authorative with a very sharp razor brain. He is also very scary when crossed. Dilabra & Vengo were perect in their roles.
Chris Wu, I don't have a problem with. But I have huge aversion to Jiro & that 10th princess actress. I'very seen couple of their projects, & their acting is barely passable. I think that even if the writing is good but if the main leads aren't, it will amount to nothing. Atleast one lead has to be good enough to carry the others. In the rumoured casts, neither one is good enough to carry the others. They should just hold off until they find the appropriate leads. I think the three lead in PB is DH, FJ & Yan Yi Wu. All terrific characters.

The rumored casts are taiwanese idol Jiro Wang, the spoiled brat princess from bu bu jing xing, & Chris wu. I've seen them in actions so I shall pass on the drama. I will stick to the pillow book novel for DH & FJ, one of my fav couples.
When I knew that Vengo & Dilabra was going to be paired as DH & FJ, I already knew that it was going to be great because they collaborated before & their chemistry was just as awesome. I'm hoping that they will pair again in costume period but with a happy ending this time.

I love Vengo DH. The only part of DH personality I missed from the book is his prankster side. But that's not Vengo's fault. The writer changed his personality to be more serious.
I love that whIle DH told FJ not to take their loverall fate from the mortal world seriously but everything comes out of his mouth is FJ this, FJ that.

I rarely follow C-dramas but I've been so impressed lately with the historical and fantasy dramas. I had watched Princess Weiyoung and although I loved a lot of it, there were a lot of episodes where I almost stopped watching. I also tried watching Pretty Li Hui Zhen but that ended up dragging way too much for me - I felt like they extended it twice and after I saw the episode count change again, I ended up dropping it and just watching the very last ep (although it did introduce me to Diliraba). However, this drama managed to keep me interested the entire way though - which is a lot for me to take in considering I can barely handle 16 episode Kdramas sometimes (the only exception before this drama was Love O2O since it was so fluffy with little drama). I'll have to keep my eye out on the cast and future dramas from China for sure!
DH & FJ has their own storyline. It's actually very well-known & liked even more so than YH & BQ story. Because the production didn't buy the book, so they twist their story around. The DH & FJ book is actually very sweet & funny. It's a happy ending for them.
There will be an adaptation of PB but it's from another production so the actors will be completely different.

Yup.Donghua Dijun expression was so clear. Everyone know he already fall for Fengjiu but never admit it. Even Tianjun know.
Everybody knows except him. It's hard not to notice when he is so blatantly biased.

Poor Vengo indeed! I think out of all the male lead in this drama, he has to carry his leading lady the most and for a long period of time too. If you think about it, DH can just transport them back with magic, but then that wouldn't be romantic. He carried her when they were in the mortal realm, and he has to carry her when they were up in heaven. The amount of times he has to carry Dilabra, that was probably several months worth of working out in the gym.

DH (drama & novel) really loves his little fox. He's always carrying her around. In the novel, he even ran out on his wedding to find baby fox.
I remembered I read the little snippets. DH always ask FJ to turn back into her fox form for him to pla with whenever he's bored.

The bells originally was his. He should keep it. Why he give it back to Fengjiu? He is so cunning...Donghua Dijun...send Shiming to give the bells right at the event when all the Princes come to give Fengjiu's gift.....what that's supposed to mean? That Fengjiu must not forget him?

Safe to say the flute has been forgotten. I thought DH only gave one of the bell. He kept the other one on his ankle or was that the same one? I wanted to give the bell & arrows to FJ as a momentum as their time together in the mortal world. I guess he didn't want to be reminded of their time together because he wants to forget FJ. But he creepily kept her tail, such contradiction with his action. That's why I say DH is the tsundered type. Say one thing but action said otherwise.
I will pass on the PB when it airs. It's not going to be Vengo & Dilraba.

Unfortunately yes, another production bought the right to the book so Vengo & Dilabra are definitely not in that version. The rumoured casts are jiro Wang, Kris Wu & that actress that played the annoying princess in bu bu jing xin - ugh gross!
