  1. @azzurri @joykimlee @ayu-kun @snowflake10
I just knew there are a lot of poets in this forum... :)) So glad  that everybody enjoyed the poems. Thank you for liking my post too...FAITH really do make us into poets and writers...
@Livon123  AMEN sister....couldn't agree with you more...

  2. OK..now I can watch BTS videos...hahahahaa
Love the final 'CUT" from the PD...everybody just went nuts!...after working for so long together...they we all one big family..LOVE LMH for hugging all of them...tears everywhere. KHS so cute shouting out her appreciation and getting a warm round of applause from everybody. Not making any comparison here, when The Legend ended, When PD called 'CUT', everybody and I mean everybody just burst in sobbing tears, PD, BYJ, Lee Phillips, LJA..everybody was sobbing like a baby  and hugging each other like they were so sad..( I cried too seeing all of them crying).
This is a testament to PD Kim Jong Hak. When after such a long and tiring shooting schedule for The Legend & Faith, yet everybody is still sad to leave each other, sad to end such a wonderful collaboration. OR, they might be crying coz they were all thinking ..."THANK GOD this is finally OVER, I can sleep now!"
I say this sincerely, I am a fan of LMH now...I think LMH can be a real great character actor given a few more years...I would love to see him in a real sad movie like Won Bin's MOTHER or Lee Jung Jin's PIETA. This sort of movies will carve his name forever with the greats...This is what I wish for Lee Min Ho.
To Lee Min Ho shi...will wait eagerly for your next project...FIGHTING Min Ho OPPA!!
I have been raving about KHS's beauty and acting to all my doubting chingus that I think they either love her or hate her now...hahahaha. It's just that I dislike a prejudge view that people have just because of the age gap. What are a few numbers between great actors? Why call yourself actors if you cannot make it believable even if the PD ask for your portrayal of a 5 year old child. This is their job...to make us believe in their ability to 'BE' the character. I for one am very proud that AHJUMMA KHS prove them all wrong. That she could stand tall on her own 2 feet next to LMH..just as awesome and just as beautiful.
Kim Hae Sun Shi...AJA! AJA! AJA!  Anticipating your next project. Don't wait to long coz I'll miss you!
I am such a 'sap' lately...after FAITH ended...I feel so empty...actually I feel like crying...but that will be crazy, crying coz the end of a drama..don't you think so? or can I?  :-S

  3. Normally I like to end a drama with a final word or two on how much I love it and how the casts and crew’s hard work and astounding craftsmanship has touched and affected myself.  But, for the past few days since FAITH ended, as I sat in front of my PC, looking at my blank screen, not a single word comes to mind.  EMPTINESS.

Running around in my mind are just images of Deajang and Eun Soo with their sweet, tender, profound and heartwretching moments together. Always, always it goes back to that last scene, their reunion scene, the long awaited scene of two body and soul parted for the longest time but  feels just fleetingly, like how a breath of summer wind would caress a cheek, teasing it, enveloping it with its warmth but alas gone with just a blink of an eye. Just a moment in time for two lovers that nourished their love on the Faith of one has of each other.  That scene evokes so many emotions in me that I just cannot comprehend anymore. Therefore I am lost for words. However,

For our Daejang Choi Young, I have these questions:

I wonder what he was thinking when he saw EunSoo standing there. I wonder what he would say to her as a form of welcoming her back. I wonder if he had even smile after losing Eun Soo  4 years ago. Did he eat well and sleep well? Did he spend his time thinking of the time when he will finally reunite with her? Knowing how wily Eun Soo is, he never doubted that Eun Soo will come back to him. He just had to wait for Eun Soo to find her way back to his timeline. Just like how Daejang has always been able to find Eun Soo where ever she might be, he had FAITH Eun Soo will find her way back to him. All he had to do is just… wait. That was how the last scene was played out. When CY heard footsteps he turn to look, hoping that it was ES, and it was. He got up to greet her and gave her one of his warmest and most loving look. A look that says, I have been waiting for your return, I miss you so much...I am so happy you are here now with me...SARANGHE!!!

Daejang’s love for Eun Soo was slow to grow but when it did, rooted deep into his heart. It anchored him for life. He finally came home, he found a place to call home…with Eun Soo.  Love so deep that nothing could come between it not even time.

So, at this point of my rambling, since I am lost for words I will just let one of the best poet of the 20th century do the talking for me. One of his most profound poems of all times…which I believe describes Choi Young and his love for Eun Soo perfectly.

i carry your heart with me by c.c cummings

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)

    i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows

higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

Now, each time I read this poem, I will think of Daejang Choi Young and his love for Eun Soo. He does not say much, but he loves fully and deeply….he carries Eun Soo’s heart in his heart, always and forever….

For Eun Soo, I have these questions:

Does this love worth it all? The pain, loneliness and suffering that you had to go through to be with Daejang. Will you do it again and again just so you could be with the man that you love?...I assume the answer is yes. I wonder too would Eun Soo be happy just being the wife of Daejang? Would she be greedy for more?...I wonder. BUt knowing ES, she will not just sit still...she would have some kind of projects underway the moment she settled herself in Daejang's room again....all relating to making MONEY!

Eun Soo’s heart never went out to anyone until one man turn it down, when this one man turns a blind eye and steeled his heart against Eun Soo’s assault of love. Eun Soo had to work hard for Daejang’s love but when she finally broke through his armor and shield; she was rewarded with the best gift ever, Daejang’s heart and soul.  Eun Soo’s love is just as strong and deep as Daejang’s…two people so in tune with each other’s feelings and emotions that just by one look, a stare, a smile conveys what they want to say to each other…no need for words when their heart does all the talking.

So, I would like to dedicate this beautiful poem by one of the most prolific South Korean poet of the 20th century. A beautiful poem that I would again say fits perfectly how I think Eun Soo’s love and destiny is.

Silence of Love by  Han Yong’un

Love is gone, gone is my love.
Tearing himself away from me he has gone
on a little path that stretches in the splendor of
a green hill into the autumn-tinted forest.
Our last oath, shining and enduring
    like a gold-mosaicked flower,
has turned to cold ashes, blown away
    in the breath of wind.
I remember his poignant first kiss and its memory
has wrought a complete change in my destiny,
    then withdrawn into oblivion.
I hear not his sweet voice; I see not his fair looks.
Since it is human to love, I, alert, dreaded a
parting to come when we met.
    The separation came so suddenly
it broke my heart with renewed sorrow.
Yet, I know parting can only destroy our love if
it causes futile tears to fall.
I would rather transfer the surge of this sorrow
    onto the summit of hopefulness.
As we dread parting when we meet, so,
we promise to meet again when we part.
    Though my love is gone, I am not parted from love;
an untiring love-song envelops the silence of love.

The poem reminds me of Eun Soo, delicate but yet strong, sad but yet with HOPE. Eventhough life looks so bleak, never give up and never give in. Just like how Eun Soo lives her life…with love and might.

Time spent apart from Daejang,  Eun Soo was never lonely because..’though my love is gone, I am not parted from my love’…she had Daejang in her heart..Always and forever.

I am without words of my own. Therefore I had to borrow words from great poets of our times.  This drama has made me speechless with its subtleness and beautiful storyline. Awesome character developments and amazing chemistry of our IMJA couple. I truly am a fan of the PD and writer.  I am truly grateful that LMH took this project to challenge himself as an actor as well as grow into a serious and undeniably an actor that is versatile as well as with the ability to carry out anything and everything given to him. I am in awe of KHS for her beauty and charms. Not to mention her fantastic and undeniably perfect portrayal of Yoo Eun Soo.

I am happy that PD decided to go through with the drama eventhough he knew it might not be well received after all the time travelling dramas that came out before his. I am sad that this drama never came to be 2 years ago because if it did, it would have been a HUGE HIT…a pioneer among the dramas. Even BBJX would have taken a back seat if FAITH came to light 2 years ago. But C’EST LA VIE….

To my Faithling Chingus, it has been an honor and joy knowing all of you and exchanging ideas and thoughts…let’s do it again!

My heart dreads saying goodbye to FAITH and all my chingus here, but as someone once said 'earnest desire creates connections.....only memories will bring those moments to life'.... words to live by.  Lets earnestly wish that we will meet again in another forum very very soon.

In the meantime take care and be safe...PEACE!

    Just an Ahjumma's musing  ;)

IF they was perhaps another 10 mins left in ep 24...I would have love to see a wedding ceremony of CY & ES....THE KING would have officiate, The Queen would have fuss over ES, AUNTY CHOI would have cried and ES would have bowed to her, THE boys would have given some hard ribbing to DAEJANG, CY would give them a hard stare that shuts all of them up..but the moment his back is turn the boys would be laughing again.
FINALLY I want to see the Woodalchi stands as guard of honor and CY with ES by his side walking through the guards smiling at each and every one of them and also present are those boys that fell while protecting the king or daejang..they too standing guard perhaps not in body but as spirits.... that would have been my alternate ending...

if its okay, could u ask to song jina : if that the "shopping scene" really happen , i mean are they really shoot that scene in real?
i know , i am silly, but i am so really desperate to see daejang face expression when he accompany his woman on shopping LOL
and how on the earth CY could live from GC attack, since jang bin already died, so i wonder who is the doctor to cure CY ( i am not quite sure, if CY using all his ki power then he can recover her health so soon ).

  7. So...any news of our IMJA couple? where are they now?...LMH? KHS?...
I wonder if they know how much we LOVE them and their awesome acting...I REALLY REALLY HOPE THEY DO KNOW how much we appreciate and enjoy their drama, acting, chemistry and role of DAEJANG CY & Yoo Eun Soo...
WE LOVE YOU IMJA COUPLE...I HOPE YOU WIN THE BEST COUPLE AWARD !!!!

  8. Actually, I too find the EP lacking.... I never actually like an extension for dramas but in this case perhaps 2 more episodes would have been great. But, the ratings would not have permitted it...*sad*
Lacking as in more could have been shown...more angst...more sweet moments...History wise, they wrap it up fine. Just my greediness to see more of the IMJA COUPLE... HAPPY that they are HAPPY... just like I said..perfect ending...just like ES herself...

  9. hmmmm...I get what you guys are getting at....
Maybe...just maybe...the PD is trying to show that physical love is nothing compared to TRUE LOVE, love that is so consuming, so pure that even without getting physical they are contented just being able to see each other ...even from afar...the joy is in seeing that the other is happy and complete. Seeing them smile and laugh, knowing that each belong to one another.
OR, maybe the PD is just old fashion and don't care much for kissing scenes.....hahahahahaaaaaa   =))
Besides, KHS is married...I think good enough they had 2 kisses and plenty of hugs. When it comes down to it, Korea is still very much an Asian country with Asian values...what you see on the surface is not what you get in reality. Custom and tradition still plays a very huge part in everyday Korean daily life. No Korean husband can take it that the wifey is kissing another man. Perhaps if the hubby was in the same line, he could understand a bit more...But that's how the cookie crumbles...WHAT TO DO!!! :D
This is just my opinion and I could be wrong...so...

  10. Why are you all not happy?
Its not a good ending? ...you guys remember what ES said...that even if she goes back she will walk around the strange world looking for a way to came back to him?... I agree 150% with @cecilia...her determination and will power to come back to him was just so fierce...she told him she never gives up so get use to it! CY knew that she will be looking for him...and he WAITED...all this time he WAITED for her...never giving up as well...LOYALTY
LOVE transcends all...time and death...if true love exists between 2 souls, time is nothing but just a moment pause in life....LOVE will lead the way...FAITH will keep them together...forever.
Personally I love it...perfect ending...just like her...NEVER GIVE UP NEVER GIVE IN!
No offence to my dear Faithlings...just an Ahjumma's opinion....
    LOVE YOU ALL.....:x

  11. Aishhhhh....WHY IS EVERYBODY SAYING GOODBYE?..I THOUGHT WE STILL HAVE THE COOK OUT AND THE DETOX PROGRAM TO GO TOO.. :))
We will meet again..sooner than you think...so next time we share the same forum...don't forget to say HI...and just give this AHJUMMA a nudge as to which forum we were spazzing in ( I tend to forget...my mind is going south...OLD AGE!)  =)) :x
