Yes, SHK's favourite drink is makgeoli which is rice wine & its alcoholic content is very low as compared to soju. It aids in digestion and is believed to give SHK a flawless complexion!
I've taken to a liking to Makgeoli as it is very mild. They have flavoured ones, like with sweet potatoes, chestnuts & wild berries and they are as cheap as soft drinks in Korea!

SHK has flawless, milky complexion as he loves to drink makgeoli the traditional Korean rice wine. He 's very thrifty as he moves around in a dark tinted saloon car unlike the usual MPV which the other celebs use. He sometimes uses the subway where i hope to bump into him! Lol! =)) =)) =))

@gladys57, Brain is just so addictive... i like it that his makeup was kept to the minimal and we could see moles on his face, just so natural and grounded. When you have the time, could you tell us what his handshake feels like? And his complexion?
@KyoRean, yes, Brain is a definite watch if you want to see SHk at his acting peak, my god, he is GOOD.

Yeah! I am glad you are finally watching Brain & enjoying it.
That scene is his favourite too when he was asked during an interview by KBS.
He was the HOTTEST GUY in Korea when Brain was being telecasted!
I am sure brain will be 1 of your favourite Kdramas just like me!
His acting is really TOP NOTCH!

I will be on holiday next week @gladys57 and thinking of downloading either Brain or AAMR, i was a huge fan of ER and Grey's Anatomy, so i like both romcom and medical drama. Which do you suggest? Both has SHK, so i think it's safe to ask the question here. Thanks ..

My suggestion for you is to start watching BRAIN first as it is very different from MB. You'll be mesmerised completely by his rivetting acting! Speechless, I would say. Even idol lovers were completely awestruck by his brilliant acting. Brain is very well written & the characters were very well developed indeed!
AAMR is light hearted and has THE BEST ENDING TO A ROMCOM EVER! Very satisfying indeed! The political bickerings are so Asian style, something we can identify and laugh at.
YOU WILL DEFINITELY ENJOY THEM! I GUARANTEE! LOL!

i just wanted to say that he is the j version of sakai masato (i'm sm long time fan). i think it would be daebak if SHK did a k-version of hanzawa naoki or legal high.
i'll be watching harvest villa next while i wait on mr back subs for ep 9 and 10. brain suspended my life for the past 48 hours... the effects not wearing off. any cure?@xoxobleach,
Since you're also from Singapore, I suggest you watch SHK'S rom com All About My Romance which was very, very underrrated in Korea but well loved by oversea viewers.
It's a political drama about 2 opposing politicians who fell in love. SHK acted brilliantly as Assemblyman Kim Soo Young too & he was hilarious in many scenes which we love so much!
The political scenerios are sooooo identical to ours and Malaysian', I really laughed non stop!
Happy watching as I know YOU WILL ENJOY IT!

Dont worry, I wont faint. I am a TOUGH COOKIE as I've seen that SMILE in person twice already and I STILL SURVIVE! He talked to us like friends, "When are you leaving Seoul? Maybe we can go for a drink after my filming ends?" OMO! We almost died & my friend kept asking me to hold her as she felt like fainting as it was her 1st encounter with him. LOL!
Currently I am still busy with my infant grandaughter & on weekends I am busy helping out in Sports. I'll share about my 2nd encounter with him in more detail later.>- :x :x -

SHK is more well known as a movie actor and has featured in many Blockbusters including Running Man. He has won quite a number awards for his movies which I am not sure of. You can check it out on this thread too, the earlier pages. I only know him in 2011.
He acted in only 5 dramas including Brain, AAMR(this one is very funny too ) & MB! So to get a KBS Daesang Award & Best Actor Award from the Korean PD for Brain, is quite a remarkable achievement. Henceforth, the Koreans call him "God of Acting" which he humbly objects. LOL!>- >- >- -

YES!He is damn handsome and charismatic! I LOL at a comment by a 21 year old fan who said she'd preferred SHK over Lee Min Ho any time after watching Brain.
I particularly love that last photo where he looked so hot even while he pretends to sleep. During an interview while Brain was being filmed, he himself chose this shot as his favourite. Looks like we've got similiar taste as HIM! Ahemmmmmm.

That 10 reasons why we love SHK video was produced by my friend, a Texan Oncologist who started the SHKIFfb page. Check out her other video s like Tribute to SHK etc.
She and I had the honor of being invited by him to the SBS studio on 6 May to watch him film All About My Romance. You should continue with AAMR as he changed his silly hairstyle very early.
I am busy now trying to keep fit for Seoul trip.
