Which CF is it? Any scoop you have on HSJ while you were in Korea?
@mrdimples, I couldnt catch the actual caption as it was too fast. It's like " Direct......" and it has something to do with communication. I went out everyday so couldnt get the gist of it.
I watched the Xmas edition of Problematic Men live and it was awesome. He was quite subdued by his standard on this show. HSJ was wearing clothes from 1% photo shoot stills, the red suit with pokka dots shirt underneath. Which makes me wonder if the clothing company gave them to him.
Among the Koreans I spoke to, HSJ seems to be well known unlike some of the idol actors.

YEAH!
I managed to visit GODINMEDIA and send my gift to Ha Suk Jin through them. Attached is a letter telling him how much we the international fans love him to bits. They were extremely kind and hospitable. They even posted on instagram about my visit. I gave them my actual name. You can read more about my visit on 1% page.
I told them how much we, the international fans love HSJ and 1% drama. They presented me with the not released yet 2 volume novel set, PB and the huge 1% poster with HSJ & JSM's signatures! I'm a pabo in sharing photos on Soompi.
I am OVER THE MOON! Couldnt sleep last night. Every morning whenever I switch on the TV, I get to see HIM in a CF.

Yes, this is the video I was talking about. It is part 2 but somehow part 1 is missing.
About reading our comments, I hope HSJ can get help from his buddy Lee Jae Yoon (1 of the guys on the video) to help him translate as he's very good in English having being brought up in Toronto.
I will personally visit his agency to hand in my gift and leave a note informing him how much we love him internationally!

Hello! I'm here again!
So happy to see his SMILING FACE at the fan meeting looking absolutely GORGEOUS!
Will be STALKING HIM in Seoul and the whole of Korea from the day I arrive on the 19 th Dec till I leave on the 5 Jan 2017.
As it is a relaxing free and easy visit, I hope to at least catch a glympse of him in 1 of the year end Awards show when he walks the red carpet!

This is a very busy period for me so I'm not sure if I can do much for this thread at the moment. Moreover, I opened this thread because I thought it was ridiculous that Ha Suk Jin's thread was archived and inactive for at least 2 years! He's someone who has more than 10 years of acting experience, been in more than 10 dramas and variety shows. Not to mention his acting skills are good. He should at least have an open thread even if it isn't very active.
I make a very poor fangirl. I find it hard to follow actors. This is why I am waiting for someone to take over this thread as a threadkeeper. At the moment, there is none. If I don't have anyone stepping up soon, I'll see if I can take over temporarily.

I'm a Chinese like you. HSJ definitely looks like a Chinese as he has very pronounced double eyelids which is very rare among Koreans. It was mentioned somewhere about his eyelids. Anyway, I 1st noticed him in SHARK & then the "Problematic Men" which was highly publicised on my local TV, Chanel M. But I dont have the rime to watch it. i regretted not watching it as it was subbed on chanel M. Now that I want to watch it on Kshow online, they arent subbed. He's really a genious from the way he makes presentations.
By the way, check out on youtube, Friends in Cebu 2 which is subbed. It really shows his lively character! My IT skill sucks as I dont know how to share links.

I'm too busy to be posting on 2 threads as I'm looking after a very active 2 year old grand daughter. My daughter objects to my using either my mobile or tab in her presence. So I use use them while she's sleeping or taking her naps or during yhe weekends when I'm given a break.
Judging from the MC's comments about HSJ , the variety shows and CFs he's done, I'm sure he is popular in Korea. After I discover him in DS & 1%, I asked my Korean friends who love the older actors and they know and like him.
In Dec when I visit Korea again, I'll be stalking him for sure. My Korean friends will help me check out his agency and hopefully track his activities. So far I was quite successful with a few actors. Which is why I reply to you here as I dont want others to think I that I am boastful.
1 thing for sure is I'll sent him a note informing him how WE in Soompi forum are crazy over him and we adore him especially as JI in 1% & wish him all the best in the near future!

I am only lurking because I am still in Korea! There's a whole lot to see and do. LOL!
BRAIN was recently rebroadcasted here last week (lost count how many times they did). They also reshowed some of his old movies but it was usually late at night!
Anyway, our SHK is certainly very popular in Korea for sure.

I was at the Red Carpet Walk earlier before I rushed back to watch the ceremony on TV.
I saw our gorgeous JNR, handsome Jang Hyuk & Lee Joon.
BUT somehow, I missed seeing SHK walking the red carpet. So SAD! I think he sneaked in either earlier or later like others who didn't walk the red carpet.

SHK won the Male popularity with JNR, tge female popularity award.
Jang Hyuk won the Best Actor in mini series while JNR won the Best Actress for mini series.
I am watching LIVE at my guesthouse with Koreans.

The Front Line was the only Korean movie which was submitted to the OSCARS in 2010 or 2011 for the Best Foreign film category but unfortunately didnt win.
Such is our SHK's acting quality!

I just saw many very popular stars including SHK's co star, Lee Jung Jae at the Blue Dragon Award just now. I wontvname the rest as it will be OOT. Too bad our SHK wasnt there. It was fantastic but the temperature was -13C, mind you. Now waiting anxiously for MB to start at my guesthouse living room. Switched on my TV in my room to help increase the rating!

Thanks for your wishes. I almost missed my flight as I was supposed to fly on 14 Dec instead of 15. So engrossed I was with MB. Now preparing to watch stars walk the red carpet for the Blue Dragon Awards in -9 C & lots of snow around. Tonight watching MB on TV. Hope to switch on a few TVs to increase the rating.

@gladys57, Brain is just so addictive... i like it that his makeup was kept to the minimal and we could see moles on his face, just so natural and grounded. When you have the time, could you tell us what his handshake feels like? And his complexion?

The CF I was talking about is " DIRECT AUTO" & Cha Seung Won is also in it. HSJ looks comical in it.
When I mentioned HSJ to my Korean friend when we were having lunch, her first reaction was shocking. " This guy is a playboy!" I asked her about her comment as I thought she had quit working in a media company which to her is bigger than Godinmedia. She then revealed she worked with him last year (2015) in his " Friends in Cebu" project with another company. As we were with another long lost friend, I didnt pursue with her comment as we had other personal matters to catch up with. Will do so through Kakao Talk to get more info from her.
Anyway, now that HSJ knows about our existence on Soompi and he's quite free at the moment I wonder he gets curious. I hope he wont be offended about the " naughty" stuff we wrote about him. On the other hand he loves to joke according to the fan meeting.
