morally grey or evil leads. Her and HJ are both protagonists, and they're almost the same, the thing is HW is just a bit more decent.

I think she’s no longer the main character which is what a protagonist is. The last 20 episodes or so have been anchored on what HJ did and HW reacted. But I had only been diving in and out the show. I have to take care of my brain. So @liyahsbutterfly you may be right.

HJ is going to die or go to prison but she won’t be the unrepentant baddie as we have encountered in other shows. HJ will find out the real reason for HW’s ‘lie’  when they split up during the divorce. She and HW will regret their deeds and actions at the end.

  2. Chingu’s I have a bad feeling,  The writer wrote Teacher Oh Soon Nam. A recap: OSN owns a traditional Korean school, she wears hanbok, married with a kid, the creep cheats on her with the SFL who was married to the ML.
For a few episodes it was OSN’s story then a big portion became the SFL’s story. She was like the loud woman in MIAV - SFL. The show became her show and Miss otoke, the FL here, was like OSN - insipid, boring. To top it all, she killed off the FL’s kid.

So beware if there is a kid, don’t let him/her break your heart.

Oh yes. But she also said she feels herself becoming more like the grandma- I think she's passed that stage of pondering and is sinking into that ruthlessness, all in the name of getting rid of Hye-Ji/Do-Eun.

I agree. I don’t think of her has the protagonist for many episodes already. It’s just no one is as unscrupulous HJ, even old Yoon. He shows real concern for his grandson while HJ is just pandering to her need to have a child.

The doctor who lost her daughter was grieving, but I am not sure why she blamed HW. MIL twin is on the iffy side. She talks about focusing on a target to HJ, causing her to focus on making YG her child, using a despicable method.

I can’t believe I watch 132 episodes , to still see Noel run to touch his hand 😂

I didn’t catch it earlier and wondered what others were talking about.

I think it’s a nice touch. They were together for 20 odd years and he was besotted by her, although still cheated on her with many women, not just DJ. A goodbye, to make sure he’s really dead. :relaxed:

season 1 was them overcoming their marital strife and showing us how strong their love is. They can't make another whole season out of something that we already know.

If they want to cash in on the popularity, it will have to be some corporate hanky-panky with the two of them working together.  I agree, there would not be a romantic conflict that was so captivating. The storyline was just ok for me.

Kwakkie’s character was good in small doses, but I won’t be able to take SC as the lead. If he were changed to be the ‘man of the family’ type, he won’t be SC anymore.

I hope the extra episodes will have some kind of English commentary if not subs.

She'd ally with Chairman Romeo if it benefitted her. Random plot idea: she teams up with Chairman Romeo to kill Hye-Ji, then betrays him after Hye-Ji dies and kills him too. She gets YJ Group. Kicks out Crazy Aunt. The end.

Kill both her own sister and the father of her husband?  There's a twist I could see this drama trying

I think the writer needs a hero, she will end up with Chase and YG, whether after a prison term or without.

clear that the writers are simply going to playout the Hye Won = Good vs Hye Ji = Bad storyline

She was part of the old lady’s lie about JC’s death, so she’s not that good.

    I can’t say, I like anyone. I don’t like HJ. She’s just unscrupulous.

Nevermind the legal argument, even if Hye Won got custody back in the interim, it doesn't change the fact that Hye Ji/Chairman Romeo had legal custody (which Hye Won AGREED TO) before she left.

Didn’t she get parental rights in the last episode?

  8. I was reading someone’s recap and she wrote about season 2. I really hope not, will not watch.

I haven’t found any part 2 that I like as much as part 1, even when it was planned. Example the escape show is so strange or should I say weird. Just dropping on the recaps occasionally.

The Glory was as good as part one but it was taped as one show and televised in two parts, I had read someone said.

Not others. Taxi, Ardath Chronicles, Alchemy if souls …

    Didn’t like at all.

Here is Oh Sueng-A's instagram sharing BTS of the set. I don't remember seeing the first two rooms in Third Marriage. Does anyone know what drama those sets are from?

I think the bedroom is from her SC marriage. I can’t remember the living room.

No wonder the actors  always sat together facing one side. The cameras were there. If outdoors, they might sit around a table.

I see KSR getting to lead a show. I found her overacting in some scenes but a good director would correct that.

Now for Oh, she was interesting as the antagonist, but maybe that was the story and also director? Not sure if I want to see more of her.

I quite like DJ when she confronted KSR at the end. You killed my dad, pay up, and she stuck to it. I did FFW a bit.

Amazing, she called the police. :hwaiting2:

determine if I like it or not. If I do, I continue it. If I don't, I drop it entirely.

If I had watched more than one episode my need to know the ending struck and I kept going back.

  10. @UnniSarah I rate a show according to how much I enjoyed it. This show has a few enjoyable moments and a lot of unalloyed boring ones. I FFW a lot and depended on the forum a lot to know what was going. Yes, I have the ‘need to know the end’ syndrome. The ending is predictable and I am glad the hard core villains WJG and KSR lost their lives for taking other lives. The remorseful ones got another chance.

@liyahsbutterfly I am giving it 5/10, it’s not as ludicrous as MIAV or WIAV which had more entertaining moments, this show is boring as we had found long ago because the good guys were slow and unsteady. B)

One which others rated highly but I found it at the same level was Teacher Oh Soo Yong

    ( edit: Oh Soon Nam).

The FL, ML and villainous SFL were mirrored here. The ML’s kid was SFL’s kid. I shan’t be surprised if the writer was the same.

( Edit: Different writers but both are MBC productions)

I am going to be smarter this time. I’ll wait for 3-4 episodes and read the forum carefully before diving in or staying out. I used that approach with Queen of Tears which I really enjoyed watching. I am now a fan of KSH and KJW.

    :heart3:

Don’t forget to recap the next show with Miss otoke. She sounds fun here.

  11. The writer has stopped offing the characters and actually bringing back the MIL actress as her twin. Are we going to get the nasty Grandmother back?  Anything. But seeing HW going confused  or threatening the baddies in every episode  for the last 10 was a turn off, and I was FFWing a lot. Imagine how much  I would see her confused if I did not FFW.

Old Yoon underwent a surgery, goodness! is he going to turn good then bad like HJ?

I missed the part when BDE lost her memory and came back as HJ but then turned back to evil BDE.

  12. I have just watched ep 131 without even touching the FFW button. 🤭

This was the penultimate ep. But to think a desperate fit old man can be killed in a direct confrontation by KSR? Ah don' think so. Now if she sneaked from behind...

Anyway, it looks like criminals will be caught and I see SR and her mum in the same cell. WJG goes crazy or was killed by SR which means she gets a life sentence. JH?

Why did it have to take this long for her to find out??  The writer really messed up in this storyline in my opinion

They are basing her whole criminal behaviour on the flimsy belief that she grew up fatherless and Shin has killed her father. If she found out the truth, they will have to cut back many episodes. DJ would never call the police, that’s why SR and Cheong are not in prison.

I think the headache may have been headaches due to long lasting drugs she has been given through out the years @kboramint

I thought she was going to be stricken with brain cancer.🤔

@Lmangla I thought it was 120 plus extra 2, then they added another 10. But it looks like the writer is adding new thread after new, the latest is scamming WJG by a Chinese investor who looked like FL with a moustache and a wig.

I occasionally took a look with my finger on the FFW button. So I might have missed more increments.

  15. HJ is a psychopath. Who would mess around with a child’s mind if she is a mother? I am sure they will have some trigger in YG’s mind that in the last few episodes will restore his memory.  In the meantime, we will have to continue watching HJ smirking and gloating over her wins.

She seemed to be manhandling old Yoon in the preview who had regained consciousness but not his memories, it seemed.

Now, HW was on her knees, I am guessing begging for YG.
I am bored with this show. Hope something interesting comes up soon.

Hye Ji proceeds to cook porridge in front of witnesses - drugs it when no ones looking - then feeds it to Chairman Romeo.  She never says "die" outright, but the casual way she upends the drug bottle into the porridge leaves little doubt she was trying to kill him.

Instead of just instigating murder, she is now murdering her common law husband?
I would consider it a tragedy if it’s not so over the top.

Anyone needs a heart melting romantic show, go to Queen of tears. So cute. But as usual, the title evades me.
