@Thirtysvn37 Maybe KDW can't forget his last project either
I think depsite low ratings FMIYM had a pretty good reponse (especially with foreign fans) so maybe they're trying to keep the winning elements ???

@coffeeboy Yes!! she talked alot about fmiym!!
I was watching her vlive yesterday but I didnt expect there would be any mentioned of KDW/FMIYM since the theme was "True Beauty Closing Party". Good thing that she did!!! I was really surprised that she was not only mentioning FMIYM but she also said that she misses anchornim/kdw and will call him later after the vlive and she said it casually like its nothing.
When I read the subtitle during the vlive I thought I was hallucinating or smthing bc she said it really fast, but good friends on twitter was kindly enough to translate it.
There are alot of possible so called clues for her other ships too, but I honestly think that it was taken out of context.
To be really honest, I dont think it is normal for her to mentioned that she misses anchornim and even wanted to call him. It was never asked during the vlive if she still kept in touch with any FMIYM cast and crew. Also if she's dating another guy (any guy other than kdw), I dont think its appropriate to say that she misses some guy (kdw) on a vlive - I think any guys would be angry about it because what she said is totally unnecessary.
So perhaps its either she's single or if she's dating, her boyfriend must be kdw.
100% agree with you.
It's so weird for a girl to publicly say she misses a guy if she's not dating him.
If she's dating someone else this kind of statement could cause a lot of trouble in her couple.

Gayoung talked about FMIYM in her vlive. She said more than what i was expecting from her (this drama is really special to her because of the staff and KDW, she missed "Anchor-nim" and should kakaotalk him later, and she will post the BTS pictures she promised...)
Am i reading too much into the situation or does Gayoung not want us to forget FMIYM ?
She has nothing to gain from doing so because It was not that much of a hit (unfortunately). The only explanation i can think of is that she has special rapport with the staff and her co-stars.

Annyeong!!! It's been a while... Finished MGY's TB and waiting for KDW's next project and MGY's new project haha...
There's so many leads changes on LINK drama and I am not sure if it would be good for MGY to take the lead here. It seems like they can't get the leading man/leading lady they want and it changes every update I've seen.
Yes link seems interesting but the always charging cast is bad sign usually. She should choose a really good project to profit from TB success.

Hello everyone, i just recently watched "find me in your memory" (thanks Netflix) and fell in love with our couple.
I am sad for being late to the party because the couple thread has gone quiet since september...
Since then the couple has won "MBC couple award" and the Blueray dvd was also released recently.
@Thirtysvn37 do you think they're (still) together ?

great post from @SweetButters
i love reading your theories/conclusions! i did learn something regarding korean folklore/myths
@coffeeboy i am also curious regarding the fox bead and how it will be recovered by LY from the fortune teller, if ever.
based from the flashback, it seems to me LY gave the fox bead to AE so he can find her when she return or reincarnates. (LY thought he killed the imoogi in the past. only recently he found out it was alive.)
btw, was AE even aware LY gave his fox bead to her when they were in the underworld?
i still dont get why imoogi was & still is, obsess with AE/JA.. if his ultimate goal is to take the fox bead, then he can forget JA and look for the bead instead (since he is aware it was no longer inside JA body/soul) or maybe, just like what others concluded, a part of imoogi was attach to AE/JA life/soul... either he needs to kill JA to get it back so he can transform completely or JA’s body itself is the perfect vessel for him.
anyhow, my thoughts can be easily swayed by different theories hahaha and of course, it usually change as the story progresses!
In the princess Bari legend, the king needs Bari to find the "flower of resurrection" (or medicinal water from the Western Heaven) to cure his illness.
The drama seem to have mixed the princess Bari and Imoogi legends. The King Immogi need Ji-Ah to get access to his powers and the immogi needs a virgin sacrifice to transform in a dragon.

Thanks @madmad min! Yea Ji Ah/Ah Eum seem to have a lot in common with the Princess Bari myth. So I think that’s what myth the writer was referring to ! Haha yea everyone keeps saying Ji Ah is a hybrid, but I’m like nah lol. She just has a piece of the Imoogi in here kinda like how Harry Potter had a piece of Voldemort in him.
You are right !
Ah-Eum and JiAh do have a lot in common with Princess Bari's story.

The first major episode shared by almost all versions is the marriage of the king and queen. The queen gives birth to six consecutive daughters who are treated luxuriously. When she is pregnant a seventh time, the queen has an auspicious dream. The royal couple takes this as a sign that she is finally bearing a son and prepares the festivities. Unfortunately, the child is a girl.[166][167] The disappointed king orders the daughter to be thrown away, dubbing her Bari, from Korean 버리 beori "to throw away."
Didn't Lee Yoen say that Ah-Eum was the seventh daughter of the king ?

Once Bari has grown, one or both of her parents fall gravely ill. They learn that the disease can only be cured through medicinal water from the Western Heaven. In the majority of versions, the king and queen ask their six older daughters to go fetch the water, but all of them refuse. Desperate, the king and queen order Princess Bari to be found again.
The twist in "Tale of the nine tailed" is that Ah-Eum doesn't want to save her parents. She actually wants to kill her father to save her people.

When Bari finally arrives at the site of the medicinal water, she finds it defended by a supernatural guardian (of varying nature) who also knows that she is a woman, and obliges her to work for him and bear him sons.
(...)
The East Coast and Gyeongsang tradition elaborates the most on Bari's quest, and portrays the guardian of the medicinal water as an exiled god who must have sons in order to return to heaven.
Ah-Eum meeting Lee Yeon ? Could Lee Yeon be considered an "exiled god" when Ji-Ah meet him in the present ?
Speaking of the Gumiho Bead, i think Ji-Ah made the right decision beucause her best chance of finding her parents is Lee Yeaon. Without Him the chances of her fiding them are 0. And honestly Being in security was never what she asked for.
The bead had only 2 purposes in my opinion:
- Shield her from the Imoogi
- Help Lee Yeon identify her as Ah-Eum
These 2 goals have been reached imo.
Right now she may have lost her "Cap of invisibility" but she saved Lee Yeon and she has the possibility to finally kill the Imoogi/king.- 1

@coffeebo, me too. I totally love her as Hong Seol in CITT. I am in love with her character there.
I have only seen a couple of her movies. She totally captivated me in her first film, "A Muse" aka "Eungyo," and I have also seen her in "Memories of the Sword." I do want to see more films with her, and I hope she takes on another drama too. But I want her to be choosy (as well, she can), and pick a good one again.Same here, i want her to continue like that. I think the best for her is to mainly do movies and from time to time choose a drama project. Making movie will give her a chance to do different genre/character because movies are shorter and offer more diversity than dramas. Taking a drama project can boost her popularity with general public.

Loving her portrayal as Hong Seol in CITT. I've never been a big fan of Korean movies so this drama was a chance for me to discover this gem of an actress. Hope she continues receiving good projects in the future also.

Dramabeans article on Rascal Sons
Teasers and stills for weekend drama Rascal SonsOkay, this drama looks adorable. It also looks a whole lot like Ojakkyo Brothers, right down to the title signage and the overlapping second brother, but eh, most family dramas are pretty much cut from the same cloth. Here’s a look at the upcoming weekend dramaRascal Sons, starring Lee Sung-jae, Ryu Soo-young, and Seo In-gook as three overgrown man-children wreaking havoc in one family. I love the literal kiddy-toy, pacifier-sucking, husband-lassoing imagery that tells me exactly what I’m in for.
Lee Sung-jae plays First Son Yoo Hyun-ki, a widower and single dad with a daughter. So he can’t be a complete baby, though it’d be great if his daughter were more mature than he is. His character is described as a complete square — as straight-laced as they come. He hasn’t opened up his heart in a long time, but then Myung Se-bin enters his life, a single mom as well, and he falls in love.
Second Son Yoo Min-ki (Ryu Soo-young) is a martial arts fantasy novelist who has been in love with the same woman for ten years, played by Han He-rin. Only she’s now engaged to his best friend. Uh-oh. I like the idea of a shy and socially awkward Ryu Soo-young, who mostly plays smooth charismatic guys, not the guy complaining about being permanently stuck in the friend zone.
Seo In-gook plays the maknae Yoo Seung-ki, who’s the biggest troublemaker of them all: he’s a playboy and a divorcé. So young? He marries his wife, played by Yoon Sae-in, really young because he gets her pregnant and has no choice in the matter. They look like the most adorable little family in the happy stills down below… but it turns out he’s a cheater, and a bad one at that (namely in that he always gets caught). Oy and oy. So Playboy Maknae gets two love interests — the mother of his son, and then the new woman in his life played by Shin Da-eun.
I’m still in Answer Me 1997 innocent Yoon-jae’s world, so it’s hard to wrap my head around this new character for Seo who’s a father and already married and divorced, though I like that he’s playing a completely different type of character. But is it too much to ask for more than three days of mental preparedness between dramas?
Ready or not, Rascal Sons premieres next Saturday September 22 on MBC.

Please don't quote images. Thanks!
As a couple, it's a great idea to not work simultaneously. They can support each other's projects without both being busy at the same time. That is if they're dating of course (we can only speculate at this point).
