"#ALIVE" Breaks 200,000 Admissions in First Day at Box Office
Source: HANCINEMA by William Schwartz
In its first day of release at the South Korean box office, "#ALIVE" earned 204,093 admissions. This is a fivefold improvement over the previous leader for a post COVID-19 major release, "Intruder", which earned 49,583 admissions on its first day. "#ALIVE" also now has the second best performance for any movie released this year. The only other movie to beat its record was "The Man Standing Next", which was released back in January with 252,058 admissions.
"The Man Standing Next" went on to gross 4,750,208 admissions on the back of the Lunar New Year weekend. While "#ALIVE" is unlikely to beat that total given the strong competition in the following weeks, the success of the movie is a welcome relief for the domestic South Korean film industry. Previous attempts by mainstream films to restart the market went poorly, with "Intruder" only managing 522,921 admissions to date- a record "#ALIVE" is a certain to beat over the weekend.

Now I can finally move on, the confirmation I've been waiting for and most importantly it came from her directly.
"During the interview, her boyfriend and fellow actor Choi Tae Joon, who is currently serving in the military, was mentioned. In 2018, they confirmed that they were in a relationship after reports emerged. Park Shin Hye smiled and said, “It wasn’t our intention to go public with our relationship then, but it happened and it’s been nice. We’re still going strong.”
move forward dear but please know that the time we have spent with all the others even for such a short term will be treasured.
If you happen to miss our Alhambra couple, feel free to visit and give shout out. Here and there
See you around and it will be so much fun into our next shipping thread, probably MoA S2 *kiddin'*

WJSN's Eunseo In Talks To Star In "School 2020" Opposite Kim Yo Han
WJSN’s Eunseo may be making her small-screen debut!
On April 6, Korean news outlet TV Report published a report claiming that Eunseo would be starring in KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “School 2020” as one of its leads. Kim Yo Han has previously been confirmed as the male lead, while Kim Sae Ron is currently in talks for a different leading role.
Later that morning, King Kong by Starship confirmed, “WJSN’s Eunseo recently received a casting offer for ‘School 2020,’ and she is currently in discussions for the role with a favorable outlook.”
“School 2020” is the eighth installment in KBS’s popular “School” drama series. According to TV Report, Eunseo has been offered the role of Lee Yoo Jung, who has a one-sided crush on Kim Yo Han’s character Kim Tae Jin. Due to her parents’ obsession with education, Lee Yoo Jung leaves Korea at an early age to study abroad in the United States, but her personality takes a turn for the worse due to the severe racism she encounters there. She then returns to Korea to attend high school in her native country.
Although Eunseo has previously starred in music videos and a web drama, if she accepts her casting offer, “School 2020” would mark her very first role in a television drama.

Kim Yo Han confesses To Feeling Worried About Taking On Leading Role in "School 2020"
In a recent interview and pictorial with Elle Korea magazine, Kim Yo Han opened up about his concerns over his upcoming debut as an actor.
The idol is currently gearing up to make his acting debut as the male lead of “School 2020,” the eighth installment in KBS’s popular “School” drama series.
According to those present, Kim Yo Han showed impressive concentration through his photo shoot for Elle Korea, during which he admitted, “I feel a little awkward because this is my first time shooting a pictorial with such a natural vibe.”
Kim Yo Han also spoke candidly about the pressures that come with starring in such a high-profile series, especially in the leading role.
“Because it’s such a famous series, and I’m playing the lead, I’m extremely worried,” he shared. “I’m working hard at studying the script.”
In terms of how he’s been preparing for the role, Kim Yo Han revealed, “I’ve been practicing my lines together with my manager, and I’ve also been trying to read my lines in different tones of voice and from different angles when I’m on my own. I’m also taking acting lessons.”
However, the idol went on to declare that he isn’t ready to give up his singing career just yet.
“I want to try a lot of things,” said Kim Yo Han. “I have a lot of ambitions as a singer. If possible, I’d like to enjoy life as an idol to the fullest during my twenties, when I’m young and shine the brightest.”
Spoiler“School 2020” is currently scheduled to premiere in August of this year.

Kim Yo Han Confirmed to Star In "School 2020"
While it was previously reported that Kim Yo Han was considering a role in KBS 2TV's upcoming drama "School 2020", today his participation was confirmed!
On February 4, Kim Yo Han’s agency stated, “Kim Yo Han is confirmed to participate in the KBS 2TV mini-series ‘School 2020.'”
“School 2020” is the eighth drama in the “School” series. Kim Yo Han will star in the role of Kim Tae Jin, a former taekwondo athlete that won a bronze medal as a junior representative in the Korean National Sports Festival. After a severe ankle injury and the failure of his father’s business, he quit taekwondo and transferred to a vocational high school. Although he speaks and acts like a grown adult, he is an innocent high schooler who does not know what to do when with the girl he likes.
Before his debut as an idol, Kim Yo Han was a reserve national athelete in taekwondo himself and a two-time champion at the National Youth Sports Festival. This history in the sport made him almost a perfect fit for the role of Kim Tae Jin.
“School 2020” will begin filming in March, with the drama set to premiere in August later this year.

In your opinion who is the best on screen k drama partner with Park Shin Hye? I have watched only 3 dramas so far so my view is probably limited. I was choosing between Lee Jong Suk of Pinocchio and Hyun Bin of Memories of Alhambra. Most people would probably say Hyun Bin because they consider him more handsome but I put Lee Jong Suk at number 1 for now. I like the chemistry between the 2 in Pinocchio and find it the better drama overall plus it had a happy ending. But the best kiss is definitely the MoA one. A far third is Kim Rae Won. Admittedly I’m only a fourth of the way into the drama but for me the chemistry is just off. I don’t feel anything when I see supposedly swoon worthy moments between the 2 on screen. I’m actually skipping those scenes.
well, if you put it as best onscreen partner of Shinhye...no doubt its darling Lee Jongsuk
While MoA is a top notch production, Pinocchio is well written and well acted too. You can't discount the amount of overflowing talents in this high tension drama.
Enjoy watching Doctors Don't let the "swoon worthy" scenes affect you. It's a lowkey healing drama actually.
