  1. I need to come back to this video that was taken during MM promotions as it was not available with Englisch subtitles before. Here they have to chose between two answers and when asked about „Love at first sight“ or „from friends to lovers“ he chose the first option as he believes that friends can’t become lovers. I find this to be quite interesting as this subject has been discussed here before. I remember that some people in this forum thought that it would be great if RW and PEB would be friends first and if they would grow into lovers afterwards. Some others, me included, thought that it takes more to become lovers than to get along well and be friends, that there needs to be a certain spark and attraction in the first place. He said before that he wants his lover to also be a friend (we have discussed this here before, saying that this must be the influence of PEB ), but this is something else, I think. it is the first time for me to hear him say that he doesn’t believe in the concept „from friends to lover“. I would love to hear you thoughts about it
  2. Let‘s just say that he was drunk from the all the fan’s love he recently received ❤️ None of my friends are watching K-Dramas at all. So I am also very grateful for this safe place here, where I get to share my love for K–Dramas and TKA in particular ❤️
  3. Me too, I never saw any BTS for a western series. I think it is mainly used as a kind of advertisement for the K-Drama, a tool to raise the interest of the viewer to start or continue watching the drama. I agree with you that it can lead some of the viewers to ship the main couple of a drama. Having a preference for one specific K-Drama couple and shipping them in a respective manner is perfectly fine I think, that’s why we all came here in the first place , but there are also some heavy shippers out there who start to harass the new filming partners of their preferred actors, which is totally not ok. But I think the worst fans must be those who start to be intrusive and possessive of their favourite actor. Those who deny their favourite actor or Idol any kind of personal relationships. I think this kind of behavior is more common in the K-Pop industry than in the K-Actor business. For that reason, I am very happy that RW stepped away from K-Pop industry, as it surely allows him much more personal freedom. Yes, I was wondering about that too What does he love? The dog (was it even real or a statue?)? Milan? Italy? Italian fans? All of his fans? Whatever he meant (I guess it was directed to all of his followers ❤️), it is highly unusual for him to do so. He must be in a very good mood right now. Maybe visiting Italy made him further realize how much he is loved, worldwide, and that got him a little emotional. I think that he has no idea of the impact he has on his fans all around the world. Sometimes you have to step out of your own bubble and see it with your own eyes…
  4. I mean we international viewers have to thank Netflix, if it wasn’t for Netflix we would never have been able to watch any of these beautiful K-Dramas at all. I think that at first Netflix picked up successful Korean productions, purchased the streaming rights and made them accessible to international viewers. With the growing success of K-Dramas, Netflix started to produce a lot of them themselves. And as the demand is still increasing, they produce drama after drama and some critics are stating that with that pressure the quality of these productions is decreasing. Also, normally K-Dramas used to have 16 episodes and nowadays it is often only 10-12 episodes. This does not necessary need to have an impact on the quality, but I think that a lot of critics and viewers get the impression that these productions somewhat feel rushed. One renowned Korean critic was praising MM recently because the production company was able to realize a high quality drama with a very limited budget. In conclusion, the huge budget, that only big players like Netflix are able to provide, doesn’t necessarily lead to high quality productions. I am currently living in Germany This is beautiful, I couldn’t remember she said that about him ❤️ Just YES to everything you are saying here ❤️
  5. Wow, that’s cool. I read a lot of criticism against Netflix K-Drama productions recently, critics who said that the quality of a lot of these productions deteriorated a lot compared to former productions. Also, I am not sure if MM will really be available on Netflix worldwide or just in some regions. It is still not announced in my country at least. We shall wait and see… Love you! I checked and HSL and Hello my Twenties are both still available on Netflix in my country.
  6. „He questions what drives people to become superfans of South Korean actors and idols, to disappear into the fantasy fed to them. “This may be a little dangerous to say,” he says, “but I think it’s about loneliness. That’s how I feel, honestly. I think it’s a contradiction, because at the end of the day, it’s a form of consumption. Once you try to find a reason for it, it turns into loneliness.”“ This is the extract of „another magazine“ article you must be referring to. He said it himself, that it might be a bit dangerous to say this, but I found his point of view to be quite interesting. I think he is right that watching K-Dramas is some sort of escapism, just like reading fairy tales is for children. It can take you to faraway places, can make you dream about lifes not lived, can let you forget about everyday worries. And all of this is perfectly fine if you remain focused on your own life, the people in it, and all that makes it worth living. He is right by saying that it is a form of consumption and to be honest we humans tend to consume a lot and we often do so to fill in some kind of void we are experiencing. Also, he is referring to „superfans“ here, those who really dedicate their whole life to their preferred idol or actor. I hope that he knows that there is a huge variety among the people that admire him as a human and his work as an actor. Some of them do it in a louder way, that may be the ones he perceives the most, but most of them do so quietly. I am sure that his appreciative, kind and humble personality will never change. He has been raised well. Yes, they seem to love Japan and Japan seems to love them
  7. I was wondering about that too. But I don’t think it will be possible for him to learn songs in so many different languages in such a short period of time I suppose he will focus on English and Korean songs. He seems to have a special attachment to Japan and he also speaks and understands Japanese quite well I think, so singing in Japanese might be the exception Thank you for the information. I still have to keep up with some of her previous dramas. Like I said before, I am mostly here for RW, but I have a deep admiration for PEB and simply loved the two of them together in TKA ❤️
  8. Thank you for sharing this. I love when he is sharing his thoughts with us. He is a deep thinker and some of his thoughts have actually had an impact on my own way of looking at things. He often mentioned wanting to feel free and responsible for his own life and choices. I think that the last year actually brought him a lot nearer in reaching this goal of his ❤️ Did you read his interview from last year in „another magazine“? He is sharing a lot of his beautiful thoughts in it.
  9. You don’t need to worry, we understand you perfectly well. For a lot of us here English is not our native language, so we are all sitting in the same boat Yes, I have the same impression, he seems more relaxed and carefree when at oversea events. Perhaps because he is not feeling so much social pressure to behave in a certain way. Yes, he is going on his first big solo fanmeeting tour through South East Asia soon. He must be very excited to be meeting a lot of his fans there. Do we know when she joined Namoo actors?
  10. I think that sometimes he just feels like showing his bare face and sometimes he does not. Per example after long flights, when he feels tired and knows that a lot of people are waiting for him, he always wears a mask. Or when he decided to turn off the camera when he did an Instagram live for his birthday. He said that he had already washed up and had some blemishes so he decided to turn the camera off. Yes, the photos he posted from Milan seemed very natural and he simply looked gorgeous. But they were taken by his team and he got to chose the ones he wanted to post. He has no control over the ones that the fans would post. And yes, I agree with you, it must be exhausting sometimes when you just want to stroll around and get asked to take photos all the times. Also I think that there are some safety reasons to decline taking photos, because fans would immediate post and by that reveal his location. I think he looked genuinely happy on all the feed from Milan Fashion Week. I think he was very proud to have been invited to such a prestigious event. So much good things have happened to him recently, the triple win on KBS Awards, the Christmas fanmeeting in Japan and also the week he got to spent there with his family afterwards. So for me, I don’t see the change in him you are mentioning. Also I think the mentality in Korea is different than per example here in Europe, where everybody pays a lot of attention to work-life-balance. I think he likes to be busy and to work on his career. And he is still young. I have trust in him that he will take the right choices. I think that he already proofed in the past that he is able to set boundaries when he feels the need to do so.
  11. I agree with you, he looked so natural and gorgeous in the footage from fans who were lucky to meet him while strolling through Milan. He really doesn’t need all the glam up and makeup. I read some tweets from people who met him there and they said that he looked even more beautiful in real life and also very tender. Another one posted that she did not dare to talk to him because he just looked so happy while walking calmly through Milan. Apparently he gave autographs willingly but asked some of the fans to not take photos because he was bare faced. I mean we all have our insecurities but It made me kind of sad to know that he seemingly worries to not be able to live up to the expectations of other people. Maybe the result of growing up in a society where being beautiful is the synonym for being successful. „Do you like Brahms“ was on Netflix, that’s where I watched it (and loved it), but apparently it is not anymore. It is currently on Viki, but we know that you don’t have Viki anymore I still have to watch „Hot stove league“ on Netflix, I also like the male actor in it. He was amazing in „My Dearest“…. I am surprised to know that you still haven’t watched her projects prior to TKA, I thought you had, because you just love her so much
  12. Yes, he felt safe to do so, because it was immediately after their common project ended and only one time (apart from KHY). That’s what a lot of Korean actors and actresses do and no one would give it too much meaning…. I don’t believe that. Too much of a risk if he really wouldn’t want other people to know. I believe that they keep supporting each other silently Yes, he is finally back in Europe! I saw that too, him holding his back several times while at the airport. Hope the long flight was ok and not worsening his condition
  13. PEB in 2021: "As I gain the courage to take responsibility for my choices, I will live well" RW in 2023: "I want to live a life taking responsibility for my choices" ❤️ By the way, he looked extra handsome while attending the KBS drama awards 2023 ❤️
  14. There was a video on twitter/X in which you saw her greeting her cast mates. I will try to find it again It is always shared by someone. May it be staff members or the truck owners themselves. We would know if he sent her a food truck support to CAD set. That is exactly what I am thinking. He did not sent her a foodtruck to CAD set because he doesn’t want to draw attention. I am sure that he would love to be able to support her openly, but unfortunately he can’t without fueling rumors, may they be false or not…. Like I said, he feels safe to do so for his friends, not for her.
  15. What I find interesting is the fact that he repeatedly sent foodtrucks to Kim Hee Seon and KHY (at least twice), just like he also does for every new project of his dear friends Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Jae Wook. This makes me think that he must feel comfortable to do so and confident that he isn’t doing any harm by doing so, in the sense of drawing attention and making somebody feel uncomfortable by that. Everybody knows by now that he remained friends with KHY after EOY and KHS was and probably remained some sort of mentor for him (taking the age difference into account). So the fact that he just sent a foodtruck to PEB once shows me that he is responsibly avoiding to draw too much attention to where he doesn’t want to. By the way he generally sends a whole buffet to support his buddies and the pictures I saw of that generally just showed a huge text banner above the buffet, so no photos or other accessories. I believe that he will send another buffet for LJW and JBA towards the ending of their recent project, so that he doesn’t need to send one to JBA exclusively.
  16. Wow, this is amazing. The whole public is singing together. The ambiance there must have been phenomenal
  17. Congratulations to RW for winning 3 awards at the KBS Drama awards tonight, including the grand prize for top excellence in acting for The Matchmakers! So deserved. I am beyond happy for him. Wishing all of you a very happy new year!
  18. I am pretty happy for RW that MM is doing well ❤️ It is well received by viewers and also by critics. I have been reading a lot of positive reviews these past days Apparently RW new drama „Takryu“ will be helmed and broadcasted by Disney+
  19. Out of this Top 20 list I also watched „A Time called you“ (for RW Cameo appearance), „Crash course in romance“ and „My dearest“, which is actually one of the best Korean dramas I watched this year. I highly recommend watching it No surprise to me that DWY didn’t make it to the list, MM is way better I think that RW’s acting was great in DWY, it is just that the story didn’t feel consistent and it didn’t really touch me. Yes, me too, we are really in need of some crumbs. Let’s hope for 2024!

  21. Yes, I guess you are right. RW, KHY and also LJW formed a beautiful friendship while working together on EOY. It is nice to see that they support each other, that’s how a friendship should be. I loved seeing them together on HOW. This made me think again about this awful, totally over the top foodtruck JBA sent RW to the MM filming site. I still believe that even RW must have thought that it’s been too much. I mean what must the other crew members have thought about it? I still can’t get over her huge selfportrait, all the couple photos, fake chat banner and trillions of hearts everywhere… On the contrary, the foodtrucks RW and PEB exchanged were so tasteful. I am wondering if RW will send a foodtruck to JBA in return. As LJW and JBA are currently shooting a drama, my guess is that maybe he will send one for them together, so it won’t make to many fuss And thank you @CLOVER for posting all the beautiful content from MM wrap up Party. It is always a delight to see RW interact with the child actors or children in general. I think it shows, that he likes children a lot and they also like him in return. He is always so playful and cheerful around them and the interactions seem natural and never forced. I like that about him.
  22. Yes, I am watching the show from Europe. You can watch in on Viki
