You have been missed in here ❤️ You are absolutely right, we don’t know them, but I think by following their path for a while, watching them and listening to what they are generously willing to share about themselves, we get at least an idea of the persons they are. I don’t know if I were able to admire their work as actors, the way I do, if I couldn’t admire them as a person, as humans, as well. I think it also needs depth and knowledge of the human kind to be able to portray them in all the different shades that exist. And PEB and KSW both have that depth, that is why they are able to touch our hearts ❤️. Reading a lot on X is somewhat toxic, I think. There are so many shallow comments, especially about RW, reducing him on his looks, especially those from DWY. And criticizing him for his everyday clothing, his haircut, everything that differs from their ideal image of him. Very disturbing and almost impossible for anybody to live up to those expectations. I liked the reference to „person and persona“ the author of another magazine used in this context in her article about RW: “One of Rowoon’s own triumphs – his own learning curve, if you like – has been in creating a balance between the public and the private, a peaceful, healthy coexistence of persona and person. Sometimes they blur into one simply because they’re fed into by the same source but, equally, that’s part of his evolution, in being able to control and command his many facets. (…) “I’m successfully managing to keep Seok-woo at the same time as developing Rowoon,” he says. “That’s why I feel very free now. Instead of being too overconscious about how I’m portrayed, I try to trust myself that I’m a good person and that’s how I’m going to keep going along.”“

I had already seen this clip circulating on twitter. Like @Betty Liu already pointed out, it was taken during DWY filming. It is a scene from the wedding of the main lead’s coworkers. But even when the focus is not on JBA and RW, they are part of this scene and well aware that they are on camera. I really don’t know what people are imagining. I mean they are such professional actors and they are in their work environment. Are there really some people out there who believe that they were suddenly overwhelmed by their passion for each other and would kiss while being on set, surrounded by 100 people? This is just impossible. RW has won numerous new fans with DWY and sometimes I think that they just don’t know so much about KSW as a person and are confusing him with the character he portrays in the drama. His character in DWY would probably be in for such a reckless action, but KSW would definitely not Ok, wow, this is already my hundredth post

Just some beautiful impressions of their current status in MM… In the second link she reads Jung Woo’s proposal letter. Just listening to RW‘s beautiful voice is so soothing. I hope this might maybe raise the interest of some of you here to continue watching the drama. It is some of the rare things we can do to support or beloved Robin couple ❤️

Yay!! Maybe he has a bit more time now to update his IG. I do say that selfishly since I understand that he deserves his privacy and I know he has the other account where someone else manages for him but it would be nice for him to update something on his IG other than his magazine photos. He hasn’t posted anything for MM on his instagram, not even funny BTS Yes, I don’t understand either why he isn’t promoting MM at all. It is such a pity, because this drama is actually really beautiful and deserves more acknowledgement Also a lot of people don’t know about his rowoon_cine instagram account run by his team. He has now 6,5 million followers on Instagram, so the impact would be huge if he would at least promote it at a minimum….

It‘s a wrap! Apparently the MM filming finally came to an ending today But no rest in sight for RW as he will be heading to Japan this weekend for the prerecording of Music Bank Japan on the 9th of December 2023…

I couldn’t agree more with everything you said here. That is what I was trying to convey in some of my last postings here but I couldn’t sum it up so precisely like you did. Thank you for that. That is what I meant when I said that their story doesn’t touch me at the core. Their kiss was sweet, yes, but not nearly as longing as it should have been after 15 years of waiting for each other. To be fair it is not quite comparable with TKA, because it was much shorter in general and the focus was not merely on their love story, hence a shorter time to build up their emotional connection. I agree that CJH being starstruck might have come in his way and he probably couldn’t overcome it till the end. That might have hindered his acting a little bit in the romantic storyline. Yes, RW is confident, even though he talked about his insecurities before. Everybody has some, but I think he found a way to overcome them. I think his parents raised him well. He has clear standards and ethical values and knows his worth and that shows and attracts other people. I also think that he has a way with people. Getting close and bonding with different kind of people seems to come naturally to him. He recently said in an interview that one of his fondest memory of filming DWY is him getting close with the technical staff. He said that he was often eating out with them while filming and loved hearing their stories of life. He even went on a short trip to Jeju with them after filming ended. He doesn’t seem to have any barriers and also seems to be approachable. So I think it is just not in his character to be intimidated or starstruck by someone. I believe that made it much easier for him and PEB to become close right from the beginning.

No need to apologize and I also did not feel offended. I just felt a little uncomfortable, like I mentioned earlier. I felt that the main focus of this thread got a little swayed away with all the gushing over CJH. Of course it is ok to talk about their recent projects and their male/female leads. It is just that I felt a difference in the nature of the discussions. While discussing DWY, I sensed that almost everyone here was happy that RW did not have the same level of chemistry with JBA than with PEB (according to us, others may see it otherwise). So in the course of these discussions there was always a connection to TKA and PEB. And that, I think, was not the case in a lot of the discussions about CAD. I felt that almost everyone here was just super happy about the chemistry of PEB and CJH. And that was it. I just feel that the discussions about PEB and CJH were just on a totally different level and didn’t do this thread justice. It is a Robin thread after all. And that’s about it. Nothing more to add from me on this topic But I am glad that my earlier comment contributed to a lot of you also expressing your feelings. And I am thankful for that ❤️

No problem I think your observations are right. I have been noticing the same thing. With EAW and actually also with CAD. Mostly women are tweeting and gushing about the male leads at PEB‘s side. And as we know KTO was taking a lot of advantage off this fact and off PEB herself. Something KSW never did. When he was posting the collage of stickers of the characters from TKA for the Emmy win, the sticker of his character was a lot smaller than the others. That is significant of how he perceived his contribution to the success of the drama and the Emmy win. To see it in a more favourable light, maybe there is more buzz about her male leads, because they have been mostly rookie actors and so their performances are more of a surprise to the viewers. PEB is already a well-known and accomplished actress, she is like the solid bank of every project she is in, so maybe that’s why she unfairly doesn’t always get the attention she deserves. Life is not always fair, a women has still to work five times as hard as a man to get the same recognition. That’s why women should support each other, just like we do in this forum.

I don’t mind the shipping itself, as everybody is entitled to their own opinion, I am just not sure this thread is the right place for it. Like I said before, I am not a hardcore Robin shipper and I just wish for them to be happy, may it be together or individually. It was just nice coming here from time to time and share our thoughts about them… But I thank you for your kind reply

I must admit that I feel a little uncomfortable with all the shipping of PEB and CJH in this thread for our Robin couple. My first thought was to withdraw a little bit from this thread, like some others already did, I think, but then I thought that I should keep on writing and posting about KSW instead, to keep him and the little Robin flame alive in here….

I agree with you that their agencies probably have people to monitor the internet in search of every publication about their actors in order to get an opinion about how they are received in the public eye and also to detect things like rumors, false accusations or defamation. But I don’t think that their research will have any direct influence on the number of kisses that is determined by the scriptwriter and maybe the director of a drama production. Let’s take DWY, because you mentioned it. I believe that the overall reception differs from its reception in this forum. Twitter is still full of postings, clips and gifs about DWY, praising the chemistry of the main leads and loving all their handholding, hugging and kissing. So what’s bad for the one (too much kissing), might be good for the other (so much kissing). Sometimes we have to leave our own perspective to get a wider view. In DWY RW‘s character was supposed to be experienced in all fields of a relationship. So the kissing came easy and his character was taking the lead in almost every of the (many ) kisses. Whereas in MM he portrays such an innocent and pure man that, at the age of 25, has never even held hands with a woman, as he almost immediately became a widower after his marriage and isn’t allowed to remarry. 10 episodes in, and no kissing on the horizon . Yes, MM is labeled romantic comedy, and it is light and funny, but there’s also a serious side to it. We learn about the circumstances widowers had to deal with at that time and how they eventually overcome those difficulties and grief. I trust in RW’s choices and I believe that MM is or was a good learning opportunity for him to once become the actor he wants to be. He is still young and I understand that he wants to try different genres. And I agree with you on the past lives storyline to be the best in DWY That would be lovely. One can dream… any interaction between them would fuel our Robin hearts ❤️

RW will be one of the MC‘s for 2023 KBS Drama Awards that will be held on the 31th December 2023 ❤️

Unlike DWY, I am really fond of MM. It has a huge cast and a lot of different storylines (all surrounding the matchmaking business they have to do ), so the love story of the main leads is developing slowly, but I like it that way. The whole cast is great and the cinematography is stunning. Tomorrow EP10 will already be airing and I am really looking forward to how the story will develop. Also you can see that the production was selected for funding of the ministry of culture and therefore has a very high budget. Everything, like costumes and settings, has high quality and is seemingly very original to the corresponding era in Joseon dynasty. KSW is doing a great job and once again proving his acting skills and comedic timing. He recently said in an interview that he chose MM because he is not good in historical dramas and wants to become better at it. „The reason why I chose historical dramas is because I am not good at it and I am not confident. You have to keep learning to be good at it, with the mindset that I‘ll improve as I learn. I am the type of person that constantly doubts comfortable things.“ I really recommend to continue watching it when you feel that you have the time and mind for it ❤️

And that is exactly why I still believe that there is something special between her and KSW. In his presence she didn’t have to be the strong and leading one. KSW didn’t need to be protected by her, even though he is even younger than CJH. She could let herself go, at least a little bit. She seemed to feel safe with him. She let her guard down, what seemed unusual for her, and just with him she sometimes even seemed to turn into the little girl, that is still in her (and all of us), when she was around him…

First there was no kissing (except the one in his imagination which remained the best till the end), then there were multiple interrupted kisses (what was really annoying after it happened for the third time) and in the end there were too much kisses or let’s better say pecks that didn’t really transmit much emotion, at least for me. I liked the more steamy kissing scene towards the end, because the whole scene was beautifully done, but this kiss wasn’t meant to be heartwarming and sweet..

I think it also used to be like that in Europe, but not anymore. The idea of family has just changed so much. I think in more rural areas and smaller villages you can still find different generations of a family living in the same house or on the same property, but not in the big cities. On one hand it is a good thing to be able to live an independent live, but on the other hand I think that family is and has always been such a huge support system and not having them near can lead to a lot of loneliness. That would be nice. But wouldn’t he be granted a VIP ticket? In my vision he would be there, in the backstage area, watching her from the side of the stage, invisible from the public eye ❤️ One can wish…

Just yesterday I read somewhere that in all her roles she is the one to lead the (first) kisses. So CAD is no exemption This is awful. These people shouldn’t waste their time with such nonsense. Instead they should concentrate on themselves and use their time to become better in their respective field. Oh, I think there are a lot of other languages that deserve to be called major languages, because they are spoken by so many people worldwide, per example Chinese, Hindu or Spanish. Just exactly like RW‘s special Christmas fanmeeting in Japan did. Sold out after only some hours… Also interesting to know that 70% of the tickets for her fanconcert where purchased by women. I love that she has such a huge female fanbase and that so many women support her. That‘s how it should be. Women supporting women ❤️

I didn’t know that she has a place of her own. I know that it is quite common in Korea to live at your parents house until you get married, but it isn’t common in Europe. So I think that it is a good thing for someone of her age to live an independent life. This doesn’t have to mean that you are not still very close to your parents. And it might also make dating someone easier , especially for celebrities that cannot go out and about as they probably want to.

It’s German I think that the release date and purchase informations of the OST and also the DVD are normally announced shortly after the end of the broadcast. That’s how I remember it from past K-Dramas, per example DWY. And I think that you will have to pre-order, so that the production company knows which quantity needs to be supplied. Exactly!

I read this too. But last weekend he was very active in his fancafé and for the first time he was commenting on several users posts. And among other things, he was writing about going to the filming site afterwards. On top of that, he was spotted filming two or three days ago with hot packs on his ears. And they are still receiving foodtrucks and different cast members are posting about it. But I think these days are probably the last days of filming… Absolutely. I think these photos are further proof of the slight changes we witnessed and were talking about in this forum.
