Hi Stam Sam and welcome to the Robin forum! RW and PEB dating is something we are all wishing for, but unfortunately 167 pages didn’t bring us any nearer to an answer to the question wether they are or have been a couple or not. Many time has passed since the glorious days of TKA and there have been little to no crumbs till today. That is why there is some sort of drought in this forum. Every little detail and interaction between them has been discussed. Their personalities and current lifestyles have been analyzed. In the end, I guess that there are different beliefs regarding their current relationship status. To be honest I tend more and more to believe that at least RW is single. I have been following his path more closely than PEB‘s path, that is why I can only speak of him. And I do think that his behavior lately is more likely the behavior of someone who is single. Lately I got the impression that he is a little more outgoing and less guarded and open in his behavior and statements than before. I don’t know if he would be so open if there was something or someone that needed protection. I think he has been quite vocal about his feelings in his latest fanmeetings and has also posted some emotional things on his instagram account and also especially in his fancafé. It seems that he has been up late recently because he posted those thinks late at night or very early in the morning. This is probably also due to his current break before starting to film his new project, but I can’t help but think that it is more likely Single behavior… Also there have been a lot of couple revelations in the South Korean entertainment industry lately, even with RW‘s close friend Lee Jae Wook involved (I am still sad about the outcome), so I am not sure if it would even have been possible for RW and PEB to be together for so long without being caught… Seems like Dispatch is really working overtime lately… To sum it up, I still wish they were together, but the hope for it to be real is decreasing lately. My poor Robin heart…

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this. I totally get what you are describing here because I have seen such behavior between two fellow students at university as well. Love is love, right? In the end nobody owes an explanation to anybody about how and who they love. Of course there are lgbt people among Korean celebrities, just like everywhere else. But in a society where it is considered risky or scandalous to even just portray a lgbt character in a drama or movie, how could those people possibly come forward in real life? I always felt that this forum is a safe place to share our thoughts and also our worries regarding Robin. Everyone here is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions and I appreciate that the discussions in this forum always remained respectful even if we had to agree to disagree sometimes. So I guess this has been and will continue to be our way to „use this forum wisely“. 165 pages speak for themselves

Are there any speculations about them being an item in social media networks? I haven’t read anything like that, so I just assumed that they might be friends. I didn’t even know who she is before doing some research today. Apparently she played alongside PEB in a drama before. And she seemingly also portrayed a LGTB character in a drama before. But apart from that, there isn’t much to be found that could lead to such speculations, I guess. I feel that the more time passes, the harder it gets to keep our Robin hopes up. With their ongoing individual activities, it just somehow feels as if they were drifting more and more apart… so yes, I feel just like you. But for now, I think we shouldn’t jump to conclusions and just be happy for PEB that she got the time to attend a concert with a friend. Contrary to what we thought, he is obviously still letting his hair grow. He looked quite fluffy and hairy today on his way to Japan for his upcoming fanmeeting The long hair is keeping me optimistic that „Takryu / Murky water“ is really going to happen with him as the main lead 👌

He also wants to do a solo album… Good things ahead for him… I just wish for him to be happy and healthy, always…

I think that statements like this show how immature her views on relationships and love are. Love isn’t just about what the other person can do for you, but also about what you can do for them. It sounds like she wants someone who can adjust to her life instead of building a life together. It seems like she clearly can’t see all the good that love could add to her life. But we have to take into account that those statements date from a while back. I think that those articles always refer to interviews from 2016 or 2020, her views might have changed since then. We can only hope

@Betty Liu I think it is this post from @NTTD that you are referring to. Of course it is possible, that PEB has never been in a relationship with someone before. She said so herself, that she never even kissed someone. I guess we were just pointing out that it is a bit odd and unusual for a woman in her thirties. And we were guessing that she must at least have fallen in love before or felt attracted to someone. Yes, I know that SYJ said so, but she could have meant it in the sense of really loving someone and wanting to spend the rest of her live with that person. For me it doesn’t say that she never dated before… I think that sometimes these actresses maybe just feel the need to say so, in order to maintain a certain image…

Apparently Shin Ye-eun has been cast as the female lead along with RW and Park Seo-ham for Takryu/Murky water. Still no official confirmation though, if RW truly accepted the offer, but I take those news as a positive sign I didn’t know her before, but apparently she was in „The Glory“ last year, I don’t know if anybody here has watched it…

Actually I believe that she totally fell for KSW at that time. Recently I stumbled across their interview for W Korea again, where she said: „Sometimes Rowoon seems to be really excited on filming set, like seeing a puppy running around in the rain, he shakes me up looking like that, made me emotional that I almost cried. When that happened I could feel that RW likes acting a lot.“ Adding to that, I remembered a clip from the Blu-Ray commentary, where she was talking about his cheeks looking full. RW then replied, if she wanted to say that he gained weight. She then replied something like looking at him makes her want to protect him. I cannot remember exactly, but it was something like that. So no matter what the outcome might have been, but I truly believe that he touched her heart to the core.

I think that 2023 can truly be declared as the turning point in his career. The tough decisions he had to make have paved the way for more artistic freedom. And his successful portrayal of these two totally different characters has proved his versatility and his will to continually challenge himself and it has hopefully also given him the confidence that the path he chose was right. So yes, I believe that he is in a much more comfortable state right now and is hopefully not pushing himself to hard. Time will be on his side, I truly believe that the best is yet to come for him. And I am really looking forward to that. Yes, they do ❤️. Imagine the level they would start at. No need to get to know each other or build trust first, 150% right from the start. I am sure that it would be a huge success I wrote something similar a few posts back, so I couldn’t agree more. No way, that she has never been attracted to someone.

I mean CHJ apparently went there with a blue balloon, he wasn’t even trying to keep his attendance low profile. So PEB mentioning his attendance and welcoming him just feels like a natural move. They both seem to be totally fine with interacting openly with each other. It shows that they are seemingly on good terms and don’t mind what others might make of it. And to be honest, I don’t think that a lot of people are really shipping them. The drama wasn’t centered around their love story and although they were cute, their love story didn’t really have a lasting impact on viewers, I think. I would grow more suspicious if they would have tried to hide his attendance. Haven’t there also been rumors about RW attending one of PEB’s first fanmeetings held in Seoul, shortly after TKA ended? I can’t remember what the outcome of this rumor was, but I guess it couldn’t be confirmed in the end…. How sad that those artists are often deprived of any natural behaviour and interactions out of fear of how the public would react to it. So PEB’s and CHJ‘s sweet interaction is a welcomed exception to that I you are too optimistic, then I am, too Their BTS and promotional interactions remain unparalleled. There must have been any continuation after filming ended… For me, the only possible scenario, on why it might not have turned out well, is that the feelings where there, both of them knew that there was something, but they were somewhat overwhelmed and too shy to make the first step. We know that PEB doesn’t have any experience in the field of love and that RW might have had difficulties to confess in the past. So maybe they missed the right timing to contact each other after filming resumed and by that missed the chance to deepen the connection they had. And with their hectic schedules, the more time passes, the more difficult it becomes to make the first step…

RW has admitted that he struggles with lack of self confidence sometimes. I think he has overcome this now that he is older. But imagine at 16 ot 17 y/o before his debut, he would surely not have the confidence to confess that he likes a girl. Funny: 1) if that letter is true. We would like to see that fan mail that RoBin replied 2) A GF and a BF is still a "friend". 3) if you see each other even as friends you are still "seeing each other". If both were just truly friends and nothing else. They would get together with other people so that the other person would not think it would be a "date". But if they see each other "as friends" and but did NOT say: "We see each other as friends along with the cast of TKA or some other group"; then they are NOT seeing each other as "just friends". I hope I am making sense? I want to come back to @Happy_sunflower’s question if they ever talked about each other as friends (although I am sure that this must have already been discussed in the early days of this forum), but I recently stumbled over an old interview of PEB on KBS2 where she talked about RW as being „a good actor and a passionate friend“. And that she would rate their chemistry with 100 points. Like @Pen G said, a GF or BF is still a friend and declaring each other as friends might possibly be the maximum they can declare each other publicly anyway. But we never got to see them together again after TKA ended. Not even meeting up with former TKA cast members. We know per example that RW did meet up with his former cast members from SWNK (including the female lead) several times, because other actors from the group posted about it. So even if PEB and RW did meet each other after filming ended, they made sure, that nobody would know or talk about it. Wouldn’t they care less, if they really would consider each other just as friends or are they really so afraid of tabloids and public opinion? „1) if that letter is true. Sorry, I couldn’t keep up here… I totally agree with you on that point. He said it himself, several times, that he is prioritizing love over work. I believe that this is the point he is at right now. And leaving his idol life behind has also been a further step into that direction. The only thing he has in his way is that he still has his mandatory service ahead of him. After that, I believe that there is no stopping him in pursuing his dreams, in his professional life, but especially in his private life ❤️

His farewell to Choco was written so beautifully and let us once again get a glimpse of his sensitivity and his big heart ❤️ Loss is such a hard feeling. But his belief in one day being reunited with those we loved will hopefully guide him through this tough time. I also love those airport pics of him, that were taken after his overnight flight from Bangkok back to Seoul. He was taking a last swim in Bangkok shortly before heading to the airport (posted on Instagram), so this is also him, totally natural, and he still manages to look awesome with little to no sleep and undone hair and makeup.

Yes, I think so too, at least I hope so. He knows the feeling of being in love and and when asked what comes first for him, he always chose love over career. That is why I think that he is ready to commit. Unfortunately I think that PEB does not seem to be at the same point yet. But like you said, her last statement about this topic was some time ago, I think, we don’t know exactly at what state she is right now or what might have happened in between Apparently not so much in Thailand, but the board in Taipei one week before looked a little bit more balanced. And I think that Ji-Woon might make it to the top in his next fanmeeting in Japan. TKA was extremely popular in Japan and contributed a lot to RW’s huge success over there.

Yes, I agree with you. He also said that to be friends is a very high standard for him and that becoming friends is such a precious thing. He further said that in conclusion it would feel strange if a friend would suddenly ask him out. He would feel like something was wrong with the friend and feeling some sort of disappointment. To be honest, I think that when meeting new people, we decide quite fast if we just like someone as a person and would like to be friends with them or if there is a certain attraction that goes beyond that. The problem starts when the feelings for each other are not the same or are evolving in different directions over time. The feeling of disappointment he is describing is related to the feeling of betrayal. Why would the other person suddenly risk this precious friendship? But maybe the other party already had further interest in the first place or the nature of feelings have changed over time. Perhaps he hasn’t yet experienced something like that, so it is beyond his imagination. Like @Yuen10 also said, he is still young at 27, and thus not very experienced when it comes to relationships, so his opinions about it might change with the years….

I just read a very short translation on twitter/x, apparently he said something like that the whole filming process of TKA was very demanding, but that he got to work and was surrounded by very good people I would also love to hear more details about it. What a pity that we don’t have any Korean or Mandarin natives here…

I don’t know either if they ever talked about each other as being friends, but with the beautiful bond they formed during TKA, I guess that everybody here hoped that, if they did not become lovers, they would at least stay good friends. Such a deep understanding of each other cannot go wasted, I guess, something out of it has to remain… I guess KSW and also PEB are known to be actors that can build great chemistry with all of their acting partners, so they will probably always be involved in lots of different ships. According to twitter/x, the shipping of KSW and JBA, per example, still seems to be going very strong… I don’t know much about his past relationship before debuting, apart from the few things he shared about it. Interesting, I never read before that it took him long to confess and to get together with his former girlfriend. But I think it could be true. He once said that he went to an all boys college and that he wasn’t used to be around girls so much when he was younger. So at that time and age, he must have been very shy around girls. I would like to know how long this relationship lasted. One thing I remember is that apparently she was the one to end things. I think that he once said that she wasn’t as invested in the relationship as he was. And yes, maybe they were in the same circle of friends then. This must have been nearly 10 years ago, so his concept of love and friendship might have evolved or changed since then. Do you think that he has been in any kind of relationship since then? He has been so busy during all this years, but I find it hard to imagine that he never, not once, did fall in love with someone. I mean we are all humans, isn’t that how it should be? The same goes for PEB. She shared in the past that she has never been in a relationship and has not even kissed someone in her whole life. Yes, you are absolutely right, that is why we were wondering It was his caption under a bunch of fotos he took in Italy, mainly showing old buildings, interiors and details he must have found interesting. That makes it even more mysterious, as he didn’t put it under a foto of one of his fanmeetings or so… As he does random things sometimes, I guess we will never know… Yes, you should visit one day, if you get the chance. Germany and all other European countries have so much to offer. Have you been to any European country before? Milan is approximately two hours away by plane, so not that far. If I had known beforehand, it would have been possible to go there for a short trip. I have been in Italy several times, but never in Milan… maybe next time

You are right, that makes it even more beautiful to watch ❤️ It think in my country it is particularly the action packed K-Productions like Squid game, All of us are dead or Gyeongseong Creature that are tremendously popular and make it to Netflix top 10 series, not so much Sageuk dramas or K-dramas that focus on love stories. But I think that in general it is right to say that the Hallyu wave has also fully taken over Europe, with K-Pop being extremely popular, especially among younger people, lots of Korean restaurants in bigger cities, complete Korean departments in Asian supermarkets and lots of people who want to learn the Korean language. It is kind of crazy and fascinating that such a faraway country has such a pop cultural impact worldwide

He lost 8 Kilos for DWY and was only weighing 68 Kilos with a height of 1,90 meter back then, I believe that such a BMI is considered underweight. He said that he regained 3 Kilos for MM and in his recent fanmeeting in Taiwan he said that he was eating well recently and again regained some weight. Normally I don’t like to comment on other people’s body, but I agree with you that he looks well with a little more weight, just like during TKA. Otherwise, I don’t think that he looked especially unhealthy during MM filming and promotions. He looked happy in the footage of the MM wrap up party, that @CLOVER recently shared, especially when playing around with the kids… Knowing that he had some kind of burnout and reached top bottom before, about one and a half year ago, I am always kind of worried for his well-being. But I trust him, when he says that he feels much better now. He had to deal with some major decisions and a lot of changes last year, so I think that he still needs some time to adapt to it… also his schedule seems just crazy sometimes… I am recently rewatching TKA after a very long time, and oh my, their chemistry is just on a totally different level. I have watched numerous K-Dramas in between and I can only say that what they had is unparalleled. It is this certain spark that cannot be explained. They really brought out the best of each other. There is such a depth in their performance that just blows me away ❤️
