Somin and Jaesuk are very close so I’m somewhat sure she will mention doing Kookmin MBTI test and the result in conversation with him.

@RM1507 sominjongkookcouple is a hater account that exists to harass Kookmin, their circle of friends and fans who ship them. It’s been around for years, a miserable existence hating on Somin and Kook.

the toxic antis are the craziest. when korean antis exposed that many jsm haters were sjh fans after unearthing the #sominout tag, suddenly we had some antis creating fake anti pages for sjh with the hashtag #songjihyoout to prove ji hyo also got hate. if you checked their following list, you would know they were so min antis in the first place. at this stage, the people behind these pretend ships/anti pages need treatment.
let's keep reporting these accounts and those hashtags . we don't need such fans in any ship or haters pretending to be fans.
Anyway, I wish Kookmin recovers soon, Somin from her injury and Kook from Covid. I wish the rest of the RM fam get well soon too and stay in good health.

Whatever Kookmin’s status is now, they’re certainly close. It was very generous (and sweet) of JK to fulfill Somin’s very special request - travel far to her brother’s gym and teach him a hard lesson by training him, lol.

@NoonooBu Sorry, but that message might not be related to Kookmin. Odyodyjsm has been posting fake edits of Somin and RM family so I believe the pic they posted might be the same.
On DC Inside (Korean forum), there is a post asking if this is real - a photoshopped picture of Sechan (and Bopil) standing with the RM family on the day Somin came back to filming. (https://m.dcinside.com/board/runningman/107744)
That photo is fake, as Sechan is supposed to be in quarantine for being a close contact of a Covid-positive person at that time and he could not attend the filming. So Sechan being photoshopped to that RM group pic is not a good thing, so those edits were requested to be deleted.
It is most likely the photo the IG account you mention has posted, they tag Somin on their photoshopped edits too. (Another fake edit by the same account has some fans confused too - https://www.instagram.com/p/CZBJTyPpeKc/?utm_medium=copy_link)Let’s be careful with the sources of our conjectures.

Fellow shippers catching the 출연자 - chulyeonja term used during these games and with Somin, you are amazing. I am curious if Somin is referred to in this manner on other shows as well.
The theories on the guest Kook dated are intriguing but tbh, I can’t get over my annoyance of Bopil using the members’ private lives as show material. I’m glad Kook took it well during the games, given how private he is. My wish is for Kook (and the other current single members) to divulge their private lives on their own terms. So I hope shippers never find out who this guest is, unless Kook and the other party choose to reveal it.

Re: Somin’s reaction on RM 525 (Blackpink Special Episode) - One thing I’ve noticed is Somin sometimes blowing up her cheeks when she wants to hide her expression.
One of the pivotal Kookmin moments is when Somin decided to keep Kook’s secret and he did the opposite (RM 434). Secrets are a big thing to Kookmin. When they became Mafia together in a recent episode, they didn’t spill who the other person is thus winning the last game.
As much as I ship them, it’s possible that Somin is not the one Kook’s dating/dated but she might know something, thus choosing to hide her expression and help keep his secret. Kookmin are very close and Haha mentioned on MUD talking about Kook when the topic is love.
I believe Somin is dating. The same for Kook. Is it to each other? Maybe or maybe not. I’ll be happy if they are but if they’re not, I wish for their happiness still. I love both of them, separately or together.

@Catch-22 I love reading your posts! I didn’t catch Somin gripping Kook’s fingers in her short-but-sweet appearance in Gym Jong Kook’s video.
Short, sweet, and so far away. Kook is not even visible on this scene where they’re touching hands to work on Somin’s shoulder. I believe Kook has two videographers - his editor and manager so it’s possible to take a better video but we have this. Wish they could’ve shared a better video but still, I’m happy we got this Kookmin moment.

Your observations on Kookmin during the Captain Election are very insightful. I am amazed at how you lasered in on how Somin wrote her pledge. I also just noticed Kook smiling but not him patting the back of his neck. He did the same thing when Somin shared about his shirt during the Seokjin-Birthday + Writer Somin race.
That’s why I’m so thankful to have this Kookmin place and to fellow Kookmin shippers for sharing details and insights we might otherwise miss.
Somin stating “Here are the things about me that you should know” and the only personal thing about her is “I love you pink Kook” highlighted in pink.
Somin calling him “(pink) Kook” is so informal (correct me if I’m wrong), it’s even more intimate than calling him Oppang, in my opinion. Kook gets annoyed when Sechan calls him Jongkook-ah but somehow, Somin gets a pass with “pink Kook”.
It gets more suspicious that none of the other members call her out on writing this, saying I love you and calling Kook so informally, although Jaesuk alludes to Somin as having a soft spot for love.
I’m thrilled but this lingers on mind: Are Kookmin brazen enough to tease each other like this?

On the previous episode (Mafia Race), I believe Kook was also caught off-guard with the loveline teasing. His harmless “jump as if your are in your own bed (in the other person’s POV)” was twisted. I noticed the members looking at the camera, maybe signaling the staff that a loveline skit is about to start, lol. Somin helpfully points the camera to Kook too, he glances at the camera afterwards.

Kookmin celebrating awkwardly or cut out abruptly might be because of this or am I overthinking things? The current Running Man staff can improve in editing (this week’s episode has awful editing, they don’t even announce the race result) so maybe that could be the reason too.
Aside from Somin messing up his hair to tease him, this is one of my favorite Kookmin scenes this episode.
Thank you, Mijoo, for not choosing Somin on your team. Thanks to Luck that we got this rule. So many Kookmin moments in a Kook-centric episode. I didn’t expect Kook to have Somin on his team for an athletic-themed epsisode, we know he gets competitive and wants to win.
SpoilerI was thrilled seeing this but don’t want to put much into it. We’ve seen Somin write “I support KJK and SJH (with heart between their names)” before. I think Kook saw that but he didn’t react and the others didn’t too. Only Jihyo laughed at what Somin wrote that time.
Jaesuk commenting “Somin has especially a soft spot for love” but ignoring that she wrote “Pink Kook I love you” is interesting.

I have the same beliefs. The lightbulb moment came to me when Kook pushed and teased Kwangmin at SBS Entertainment Awards. He teased them about Kwangsoo’s anecdote of putting up blinds at Somin’s house.
Why would Kook tease Kwangmin when he knows Kwangsoo has been dating seriously and about to reveal his dating status in a few days? To entertain, since Kwangsoo hasn’t gone public yet, so it’s fair game. It’s not as if he wants them together romantically, that Kwangmin teasing is business. They are professional variety performers.
What’s funny to me is how Kook inserted himself in that Kwangmin teasing by saying his arms are drills, implying he can do them instead, lol. Yet another instance of Kook inserting himself to Somin’s lovelines. Maybe that’s his way of disrupting lovelines???

I suspect too but Somin’s dated privately before while playing the Love Frog character? I guess they’re exploring a new dynamic for her Love Frog gag — meddling with the Love Frog is much more fun than just teasing her about being ‘lovelorn’.
We don’t know who Somin is dating or even if she is. Like Kook, she’s private about it. If she is, I would be happy if it’s Kook but even if not, I hope she learns from him how to keep it secret.

I expected Somin not being a major part of Gym Jong Kook’s latest video. On Running Man, we see Kookmin celebrate their wins awkwardly or edited out, it doesn’t strike me as odd that Somin isn’t congratulating Kook here one-on-one on camera, like the others did.
Kook’s latest video might be an opening topic for Running Man in the future, maybe Jaesuk & Somin can congratulate him there or do so in private.
It’s also possible that Somin couldn’t drop by to visit the guys’ dressing room, as @chandelier said. Sechan is being styled for the disco performance, highly likely Somin is doing the same when Kook’s video was shot.
What tickles me is the first interaction we do see between Kookmin in Gym Jong Kook’s channel is Kookie massaging Somin’s shoulder. Not a conversation but comfortable skinship. Filmed from a distance, of course.
So sweet and warmhearted, Kookie takes care of Somin and the others.
Also happy that Kook elaborated onscreen why Somin has more staff. “It’s because she’s an actress.” I’ll always cherish Kook saying Somin is his favorite writer. And now, just hearing Kook saying “…Somin is an actress” made me happy.

@Lulu lolly Somin said she had a great time at the fanmeeting, she posted on IG after! I was so happy to see it.
There are so many comments on the Fanmeeting English Live Room, I barely got to read them. I was also focused on the video but the comments I did see are full of praises for all the Running Man members.
At the start of the fanmeeting, Somin was prompted to read a comment. She replied that it was in English, lol.
At the closing portion, one of the members (I forget who) read a comment that Somin is like an idol. Somin was happy and seemed shy at the compliment. Seokjin & Kook replied that she is not an idol, lol, iirc.
I am so proud of Kookmin and the Running Man family for doing a live fanmeeting with us fans. They must’ve been tired but they did an awesome job — all the performances are fantastic and the live events are fun!

”If you and Jong Kook were to shoot a drama, what genre would it be?” or something like that.
Somin answered that she wanted to act in an action drama with Kook and she wanted to beat him there, lol. She elaborated that she wanted to be a hero that is beaten 1x by Kook then she beats him 5x.

Kookmin played together during the Shout in Silence game, which they did excellently.
The next game (Guess the Dance), Somin started first, followed by Kook. So they were beside each other most of the time during that game.

Kookmin’s characters (Hothead & Love Frog) play a major factor on how they (can) react to lovelines.
Love Frog Somin
One of Somin’s characters is Love Frog - a cheesy romantic who loves love. How can a Love Frog not support lovelines pushed by the show? It’s her job to be on and support lovelines.
Delulu time - Somin saying “I want to go home. I want to go home.” maybe the most negative reaction she has recently to banter about lovelines, specifically Kook’s (Filial Piety Money Race). I preface with delulu but she did say this right after that said topic ended so it could be a reaction to that.
Maybe there are other moments but I can’t remember them.
Hothead Kook
Kook’s character as Hothead does give him leeway to react strongly.
But still, his negative reaction to Sechan’s answer in the bus game (RM 568) is captioned with “for no reason”, lol.
Using “conservative brother” as reason only works on reacting negatively to Somin’s lovelines with guests. The show probably gave up on logic-ing the reason hence the caption, lol.
Other Members
Out of all the members, perhaps Seokjin’s character is the only one who can really reject lovelines. He’s not on one and doesn’t push them like Loveline MVPs Jaesuk and Haha do.
Seokjin said “I hate Somin” when Chanmin got too personal (Time Countdown Race) and mentioned “feelings” when Somin joked about Chanmin marriage during the visit to the Variety Director’s office (Credit Card Race).
I did notice that Haha hasn’t been pushing lovelines as hard this year.
Bonus - Haha cutting short Kookmin’s cheesy romantic skit (Assistant Race). Somin just replied back to Kook when Haha told Kookmin to cut it out.
Mr. “I Need Romance” couldn’t stand how cheesy they were roleplaying, lol.Instead of teasing them, Haha cut Kookmin’s skit off so quickly that the others didn’t have the chance to comment or tease the two. That was good comedic timing tho.

And the interesting thing is the other members don’t ever comment on it. RM staff’s caption for his reaction is “for no reason”. Might as well be “no comment” too, lol.

I agree. I think he’s also down for Somin’s loveline moments if it’s done hilariously. Good thing Sechan attacked Seokjin with “You love Somin with all your heart” after that Chanmin scene, so that romantic line doesn’t just involve Somin & Sechan. Kook approved, he laughed hard and shook hands with Sechan.

Yeah, I agree. It was carefree and playful banter for Kookmin. I believe Jaesuk would’ve said the same as Kook if he was there instead.
I mentioned Episode 420 as a precursor to Episode 446, with Kook’s reaction to the reality of Somin dating and being set up with other guys by the Running Man staff. During the race briefing, other members mostly reacted negatively at the idea of paying for Somin’s dates as penalty but Kook mentioning “other guys” is interesting.
As much as I ship them, I also think that Kookmin’s relationship shifted in 2020 but I would put it as happening on the later part of the year. RM 521 (Selective Survival Race) and RM 522 (Trade King Race) are key episodes for me.

@kyoko22 As early as Episode 420, “he doesn’t want to see her happy”. Somin joked that she would go on a date with Jinyoung until she got her nametag removed. Kook replied that he’ll remove her nametag right away.

By next year (2019), RM made Kookmin’s carefree banter true, lol. Somin’s birthday special (Episode 446) is a race to remove Somin’s name tag while she’s going on dates. Kook’s reaction:

Even now that I’m shipping Kookmin, I took Somin’s statement (It’d be hard to be (Kook’s) wife) to be general, as in “It would be hard for anyone to be his wife.”, not referring to herself specifically.
Somin’s monologue is also a nice throwback to RM 346 (Global Race). The members were asked, “If the Earth is destroyed, I’d date fellow members.” While answering that question, Jaesuk linked it to looks, teasing Sechan as the ugliest, lol. Somin’s monologue in RM 425 is the reverse, linking looks back to marriage (more serious than dating, but still a romantic relationship) and using the same apocalypse scenario.
Thinking about it now, it’s interesting that Somin has associated Kook with marriage a few episodes apart, but then again, everyone and their moms associate Kook with marriage, what with everyone rooting for him to get married. Even Somin’s skit with him on a prior episode (RM 420) is about married life.
Was Kook more open about marriage during this period or just recently? I’m not sure if he was but it would be interesting to note this.
Kook actively participating on a marriage skit, that Kookmin is that close and comfortable to each other to do so readily and doing the improv skit well, gives me more Kookmin feels than the skit itself now that I’m shipping them. The skit is great too with Kook’s cheesy “Don’t get sick, it’s a mission.” and Somin teasing him about his thrifty tissue habit. They’re so cute together.
I don’t have shippy feels about that “it’d be hard to be Kook’s wife” statement even now, but more on Somin not choosing him and Kook getting on his feels about it. Like, why the strong reaction — even saying she’ll never choose him, is he being petty, lol. Seokjin and Kwangsoo didn’t choose him too but it’s Somin’s choice he focuses on. Kwangsoo’s reaction to it all made me laugh.

@anthonio07012 Noted. I can’t recall where Somin has stated thinking of herself as Kook’s wife, on Running Man or elsewhere. That’s significant, especially for us Kookmin shippers. Please share here if you do remember. I’d like to rewatch the episode too.
Maybe other Kookmin shippers know, my shipper memory is crappy, lol.

I remember the same as @RumbleMinKook, she was hospitalized for extreme fatigue. Jee Seok Jin said on RM 500 that she couldn’t even walk.

Some of my favorite moments on this episode (RM 566) are from the Smelly Dodgeball game:
“I’m sorry, but I can’t protect you. I won’t today.”
Yet another Kookmin cheesy line moment that the other members never react to. I guess it was included to illustrate that the smell is so bad that Kook has given up playing the game.
SpoilerKookie’s smile when Somin picks him for her team. As. @kyoko22 noted in an earlier post, Jaesuk is a master loveline moment creator. This could’ve been a moment for teasing but it isn’t.
Somin made the choice funny by teasing him that he’s bad at ball games like her.
I watch Running Man on Viu. Imagine my surprise and delight at seeing the thumbnail. Thanks, Viu folks!
I find it heartwarming how supportive and encouraging Kookie is to Somin during the English Q & A game. He states she can do it (better) and it’s so nice that he got most of her hints right or at least close to it.

The opening is yet another instance of Kookmin inserted into the other’s lovelines, just like before:
- Somin supposedly being set up with Jongmin on a date, ends up with Somin asking if Kook’s busy and Kookmin agreeing to a call later. Jongmin gets suspicious, lol
- Jaesuk teasing Chanmin that they’ll celebrate Sechan’s birthday, Kook butts in that the three of them will be there (my memory is fuzzy but the endgame is the same). As usual, no one reacts to Kook butting in
And now we have Kook specifically mentioning Somin visiting his house very recently (the other day!) with the other oppas and wanting her to confirm that she’s comfortable there.
If I didn’t ship them and there weren’t previous instances, I would find it iffy how Kook put Somin on the spot like that, inserting her into his loveline teasing. She was clearly flustered, I’m glad the others answered verbally in her stead.

Anyway, thanks to the roasting, we now have this Kookmin crumb. The feels when your shipper crumb comes from the person you’re shipping that you otherwise wouldn’t have known.
As always, it’s Kook who divulges how close Kookmin is. Just like him mentioning he videocalls her or they often have drinks together.

I was giddy when I saw that frame insert in Gym Jong Kook’s 1st vlog! There’s a split frame closeup of Jaesuk and Jongkook that would’ve fit but thanks to Team Gym Jong Kook for choosing this frame that has a smiling Somin in it.

Speaking of 1st team posts, can anybody confirm if this is the 1st (re)post about Running Man episode on Kookie’s Turbo company?

If it is, what a nice coincidence that the 1st (re)post on Kook’s company IG account is the episode where Kookmin is shown to be close — Sechan shares that Kookmin had a coffee date and Kook himself states that they’re close.
The next RM episode (re)post on Turbo Company is RM 472, an episode set in Anyang (Kook’s hometown).

It’s just so funny to me that @kookminstanner123 chooses not to mention SJH to “focus on Kookmin” but the 1st time this account mentions another woman on this thread is to repeat the insinuation that KJK and YEH are clout users without even disagreeing. The same account who brings up Kwangmin feud (unnecessary, negative rumor for Somin) the 1st time they posted here but speaks up for SJH when she’s not even insulted on this thread (let’s not compare), lmao.
I’m really fascinated, which toxic fandom keeps saying Kookmin (and YEH) are clout users and brings up the so-called Kwangmin feud (none of the viewers’ business, btw) every chance they get? Is it the one who sent death threats to Hong Jinyoung?

Anyway, I’m so excited that good things are happening to Kookmin. Somin is nominated for Seoul International Drama Awards for her excellent acting performance in HeeSoo and KJK recently finished a successful concert abroad. Booked and busy, our Kookmin!
