Hey I had a thing for Li Jing too - his eyes are softer than Dong Hua's and although his judgment was always questionable (seriously, trying to lure your father's soul out to kill him on your own?!), I don't see him as a weak guy as most reviews have branded him. Flawed and ruled by emotions yes but not weak. He might be the only man I loved if I had 140000 years to live too! LOL.
Honestly though, there were many things I liked about him and I felt sorry for his character in the show. Ironically, the only thing I didn't quite like was that they let him use his own voice - it has a nice deep resonance but the pronunciation and also tonal inflections were a bit out of place some times, loose, almost too contemporary and not formal enough...like how in some parts he pronounces Ah Yin as almost "Ah Ying".

Could not have been more different in fact! Good thing I am literate in the language! *switch subtitles back and continue watching*"

Thanks - I don't get very good resolution when watching things off dramacool so was wondering which paid platform would have both. Maybe Dramacool adds their own subtitles? So far I have tried Tencent (no choice of subtitles) and its WeTV offshoot (either English or Chinese, not together) and some bits on Viki (seems to be either/or) and those clips on FB. I like to watch the shows with both subtitles on as it is quite fun to see what the English subtitles say without having to toggle between the languages (e.g. non-Science student me did a double take when they used the word "eclosion" for 羽化).

@They Sick - Which platform are you watching ELOD on? I haven't found one gives both English and Chinese subtitles together - seems to be always one or the other from the streaming platforms I've tried.

I think for ELOD, they licensed it to one of the local content providers here, so WeTV's broadcast was geoblocked. But for Wrath of Time, I seem to be able to access it for free, so will see what happens to the Lost Cavern.

I hope so - I can get Wrath of Time on WeTV but it was not available for ELOD strangely enough. So I hope they don't licence the Lost Cavern out as well! But if it can be found on the raw sites, that works for me too so I guess a matter of sourcing when the time comes to watch it!

@Yori Ten any idea where the Lost Cavern will be broadcast for international audiences? Although by the time I finally get down to it, it would probably have finished airing since I haven't had the time to even start on Wrath of Time. Is V using his own voice? How did you rate it?
I am still stuck on TMOPB...at the ep40 ish mark now and it's not even really watching - I download the eps on my phone and listen to the conversation going on when I'm driving. So I guess I am missing out loads when it comes to steamy scenes etc. Although it is good that I don't really watch it as I might end up fastforwarding all of the mortal arc scenes in that show. Really cannot stand DH in the pervy Emperor getup with all the women fawning over him - I think I would rather watch him as the Purple Pie Man (sorry, not sure where that suddenly came out from - a reference to the evil guy in the Strawberry Shortcake cartoons waaaay back in the 80s) in Xuan-Yuan Sword!!

I’m in two minds about the movie. I was introduced to the 3L3W universe on the plane where the movie was one of the VOD options. I always had Netflix but never bothered to watch TMOPB as I couldn’t get past episode one of Ashes of Love (?). I watched the movie, got a gist of the story which piqued my interest and led me to the TV version of TMOPB (watched only the first two eps as I found the Siyin part so boring zzz) and then ELOD. One thing led to another and now I’m back at TMOPB. So it may be good for exposure and an introduction. However I would personally dread watching it (regardless of cast) as it is sure to become super condensed. I’m still sitting on the fence for this one I guess. Also, much as I would love for Vengo and Reba to reprise their roles, after their wonderful portrayal in the series, I think they should move on and not keep milking the cow dry as there is no small disappointment, only huge let downs if the movie flops.

And according to SMY, DH went to take porridge cooking lessons...I guess that must have failed as she didn't get to try any of that!

you know, I used to think I didn’t need to look at DH - his voice (or rather his voice actor) would do. But then I had to google that show that @Yori Ten said she was watching and seeing the other actor having the same voice...just doesn’t cut it! So yes, I think it has to be the right combination. And this is THE right combination.-

I am now watching TMOPB (successfully tore myself from ELOD for now) and now at ep 4/5. Another Yang Mi studio hottie is the guy who portrayed Li Jing! Wow...actually, from some angles in the show, he reminded me of Vengo, except with black hair. But he is quite a fair bit younger than Vengo (and by extension me LOL) so not going there. But I love his look and every moment he appears on the screen. Don't like his voice actor though, sounds muffled and weird. And I am so used to Wayne Liu's ELOD voice that the Zilan's voice seems a bit too high for me every time I hear it.

@Wuzetian I didn't have to log in. After downloading the app to my phone, I opened it, and under search function, you can put in 情牵三生 and see if you can access it. But I could access it through @Yori Ten's original link as well over Safari without first opening the app. Anyway, I didn't try on PC as I have been running about the entire day. Hope it helps.

With his real body build (apart from the times he bloats or puts on weight seasonally), he could be dressed in the lycra costume for Cats the musical! Not an ounce of extra fat that I can see. Oh wait, he can't slink around gracefully enough to be in it

He is very endearing in his gangly way. Cannot wait to see him in Happy Camp when his episodes air.

I got a stitch watching the episode...but very sad he massacred the Thousand Year Wait song!! Definitely did NOT give off any DH aura there! It was good to see the Baizhen actor from TMOPB - didn't realise he was such a silent type of guy! And of course Wayne Liu was so cute as always - bursting the balloons from all those angles and limbs ROFL.
