Im good! I'm still lurking around the forum so I haven't disappeared lol. And definietly re watch i!!! It's kinda sad how we'll never see dilreba and vengo as FJ and DH again in other drama adaptations. They were so perfect for roles, I wonder who'll be casted in the future.

I'm rewatching episodes of elod and I cant believe its over.I was waiting for the drama adaptation for so long! It is just me or does it feel weird thats its over just like that??

Shao Wan is really powerful. If you don't mind spoilers from the end of Vol 2 of Lotus Step, here's what happened:
At the end of Lotus Step Vol 2, Dong Hua sensed the awakening of Zu Ti and headed to Gu Yao Mountain (Zu Ti's home) with Zhong Lin to have a look only to run into an ancient ward set up by Shao Wan. Zhong Lin suggested that perhaps Di Jun could try to force his way through. But Di Jun replied saying that Shao Wan's wards are unrivalled in the world and even for him to force his way through, he would need to expend a very great deal of effort so he said there wasn't a point.
He told Zhong Lin that for Zu Ti to return and immediately seal Gu Yao Mountains, it must be something important to her. Zhong Lin was worried that Zu Ti can't manage whatever problem she was trying to solve and sealed the mountain off as a solution but Di Jun wasn't hahaha. He said she is after all a Chaos Era Goddess, one from his own generation. LOL @ Zhong Lin for belittling a goddess from the same generation as Di Jun.
Ok tough explanation coming but at this point, my tears started falling. Zu Ti has awakened and returned to Gu Yao Mountain. She then separated her mortal memories of her last life (as Cheng Yu) from her immortal body. The reason why she did so was because she had another divination that she will have to sacrifice herself for another impending world disaster that will lead her to fading and possibly never return.
As a result she went through a lot of physical pain to break her mortal memories away from her and move it back into a mortal body (Cheng Yu). Zu Ti loves Lian Song very much at this point and decided not to let him bear the pain of her loss in the future. So she decided to take Cheng Yu's memories out of her mind and very bones and create a new soul with all those memories in it and move it into one last mortal body that Xie Ming had created for her. This is to allow the puppet "Cheng Yu" to take her place in loving him for one lifetime so that in the event the prophecy happens, he need not suffer her loss. This was Zu Ti's way of saying goodbye even if it cost her so much pain and suffering to separate those memories. (I bawled at the end of the book, nuff said).
By this point in the book, Lian Song had gifted Cheng Yu/Zu Ti his reverse scale. Every dragon has only one reverse scale and they give this scale to the person they love. (hint this applies to all dragons in this universe, makes you think of two other couples right?)
When Xue Yi, her envoy (all the remaining 3 woke up when she did) asked her if she must do what she is doing now, she replied: "Being able to do this as a last act of saying goodbye, I am already satisfied, and he will only remember everything that has happened before as a dream. To say the truth, to end everything here is not a bad thing. But I have made a promise, that after the Water Punishment is done, he will come and find me, and take me away to travel the world as vagabonds for the rest of our lives. I... can't keep my promise, but I can give him a Cheng Yu, and let that Cheng Yu fulfill my promise. "
Her envoy is worried that Lian Song will see through the fact that the new "Cheng Yu" is nothing more than a puppet but she insists he won't. (Trust me in the end he will, and he will try to stop her, I think that's how this story is going in my opinion).
She is planning to regain all her cultivation by going into a deep sleep for quite some time after this as she needs it to handle the impending disaster (I am guessing that this disaster is the big event that will happen at Kun Lun as per what was mentioned in Back to Chaos in a Dream, and since half of Kun Lun sealed the three poisons of mankind, it might have to have something to do with it -> only my conjecture at this point). And knowing that she was going to sacrifice herself later, she decided to do this.
Her envoy tried to advice her against doing this as he can clearly see that she can't bear to leave Lian song and said that she still had 30,000 years to go before the event happens so why not use the remaining time wisely
But alas, as she is the Goddess of Light, the keeper of time and foresight (the ability to see the future), she needed to sleep longer than a regular god to regain all of her ability and cultivation.
And she said these heartbreaking words, "My destiny with him can only happen with this Cheng Yu for one lifetime". Then she sighed and continued, "He loves Cheng Yu, so I shall give him his Cheng Yu. This is the last thing I am able to give him."
After that a heartrendering scream and crying shook the entire Gu Yao Mountain (her memories of her love for Lian Song runs right into her very bones so stripping these memories out of her is an extremely painful process). Her envoys describe the scream as one that is filled with pain, hopelessness and dread before everything went silent (She had gone into her deep sleep).
Sigh, Tang Qi made me weep again. She really loves Lian Song, that much. But we shall see how "puppet Cheng Yu" pans out in volume 3. I am pretty sure Lian Song will figure it out with Dong Hua's help. He might not be able to see through it but another Chaos era God might be able to.
These ancients and their constant willingness to sacrifice. Dong Hua (almost died to save the world) and Shao Wan ("died" to save humans) were the same. So like them, she is duty bound.
Tang qi is such a amazing storyteller. The novels get better and better!!!!!!!

She and him appear to be two sides of the same coin. This is exactly why they can be besties. No romantic love between them but totally best of friends.
I cant wait to see her reaction when she sees DH is not only be a whipped husband but a father too. I can tell SW is gonna bring the humor back into the series. Its so bittersweet how SW got to see DH as a lonely, empty child and now a loving husband, proud father and a good leader.

Exactly, I'm basing everything off whats she's confirmed and what's been introduced in the current novels. But..him being engaged does bring in the angst, I mean it wouldn't be that easy to be together again after generations and generations being apart. Tang Qi knows how to make us pull our hair out lol

I wouldn't blame him if he did all that he could to keep her to himself. And I thought what yehua had to go through with his dead wife and orphaned child was agony and Donghua being abandoned by Fengjiu for so many years. You could tell how much the time killed them both slowly.
But 260,000 years?? Once he sees her, he's definetly not letting her go.
Poor liansong is next up for the heartbreak

I like to imagine the ml is the descendant of SW AND MY since he's supposed to be a white dragon lol. And also imagining if Xuan nu had a second chance to redeem herself as a immortal and gets reborn.
Tang Qi has me thinking about all types of possible scenarios and theories while I wait for the novels to be completely released

It was interesting to read that extra pillow book novel and learn so much about Dong Hua and what he's gone through without having Feng Jiu there to support him.
BUT most importantly cant wait for Mo Yuan to finally see Shao Wan again, I bet Tang Qi will know exactly how to build the story and then make us cry buckets.

Anyone see dilrabas new drama the long ballad. From what I heard the main character goes through so much..The same voice actor as Feng jiu too

Could this be Xiao bai mortal trial to ascend as a high immortal? Lol probably wouldn't happen anyway since Donghua wouldn't let Fengjiu fall for another man even if that mean't joining the high immortal club.

Especially Shao Wan she never got to see the mortal realm before she died. How sad
Speaking of Shao Wan, I dont think she'll be getting much alone time once Mo Yuan sees her again.

On whether because he moved on from Shao Wan after more than 260,000, or he has feelings for his bride, or the marriage was fixed for them, we can only speculate as of now.
I hardly believe MY has any actual feelings towards his bride. Most likely a alliance of some sort.
It's same way if you said DH developed feelings for Ji heng. Yikes.
The circumstances were definitely there with DH knowing her longer than FJ, watching and protecting JH her whole life.etc. But obviously the only person who create feelings of romantic love within DH is FJ only.
The same way I believe even more so for SW and MY since their relationship - unlike DH & FJ- probably has a lot more fate. I would believe it more if MY actually had feelings for BQ than his unnamed bride but thankfully that never happened.

Yes I understand what your saying but my main point was that DH was never intended to the emperor and for good reason too.
DH didn't "unite" everyone since everyone was still plotting against each other and they continued to do so secretly after DH left the throne.
He gained the respect of everyone through fear and war which was what father god wanted to avoid for MY up and until his death.
If he "united" everyone that war wouldn't have happened in tmopb etc and things would have been a bit calmer than they turned out to be.
And if DH truly wanted to unite the realms, he would continued to be the ruler but naturally like anyone else would, he didn't want to spend his entire live saving others. That's where FJ comes in to the story to save him for once in his entire life.
If MY never met SW and obediently listened his father to rule the realms after him, most likely things would be a lot peaceful than now and DH would have been probably still be in bihai cangling sleeping somewhere peacefully.
Also, the demon realm at that time had SW has their queen who they all respected so naturally they would follow her. The only reason they broke off the peace when they lost their leader.

I kinda feel bad for DH for the fact that he had get in wars that didnt even involve him one bit- since he has no genuine loyalties with anyone. As soon as MY disappeared, all of the scheming immortals felt brave enough to try to finish him off which was a big fail.
And also did DH really unite everyone? Seems like all he did was kill anyone who tried cause unnecessary wars and then when everyone was too scared to challenge him, he gave the throne to LS dad. The only actual proof of ALL of the races being united was the time of those peace treaties MY signed with other races.
I'm not sure if its been explained if Father god actually appoint DH personally to be the emperor or if he had his eye on MY to rule the realms and DH took it upon himself to be the ruler when MY abandoned everything?
I wish I could have translations!!!

It's actually crazy how the peaceful world Mo Yuan and Shao Wan built with actual blood sweat and tears just crumbled away when both of them just disappeared from the realms. Just goes to show you how influential these two both were to all of the realms.
Shao Wan to the demon realm and many of the other small, insignificant realms - was like a beacon of hope that the other bullied and pushed aside races can finally have the same happiness and prosperity the godly realm has. And Mo Yuan to the heavenly realms is example of how true warrior and leader carries himself both in war and outside war. Both of them are really fated to be together not only for themselves but for the universe. I think it's so romantic!
The fact that someone as extraordinary and powerful as Dong Hua struggled to completely unite the realms and bring the same peace Mo Yuan and Shao Wan did says A LOT about how hard it is to be a actually leader for these tribes.
Speaking of Dong Hua, I don't think at the time he actually cared enough for any of the realms to give it his all until he met Feng Jiu. I 100% think he wouldn't have tried to sacrifice himself with Miao Luo situation if he hadn't met Feng Jiu. I think the thing that motivated him was that he had nothing to lose and thought Feng Jiu actually wanted nothing to do with him. Tang Qi proves once again love makes these immortals do crazy things.

Moyuan's dad - Father god definitely knew Shao Wan was one of a kind. Wouldn't be surprised if he was plotting for them to be together from the beginning and made Shao Wan sit next to Mo Yuan the first day they met.
Of course the person who makes Mo Yuan fall deeply in love probably has to be special, the same way Fengjiu is described somewhere as too talented for her time. If she was born a lot early, Donghua would have married her a long time ago just like he did in the extra pillow book novel.

It's because Fengjiu is literally the one for Donghua. Even though they were not fated, as long as she exists in the universe, Donghua finally has a home.

I think after reading a translation of some of extracts of Shao Wan, I can see why Mo Yuan and so many of the ancient celestials have connected relationship with her. For one, she's loyal- which sounds rare for times of war. Also, very brave, more kind than many of the other celestials, sincere- if she like you, shes likes you and vice versa. There's definitely good reason why the demon clan all respect and honour her even to her death.

SpoilerPast ZT existed before LS was even born their fate was already set in stone though I think before then they never actually officially met. Also CY is literally ZT with no memories and no powers, but long story short, LS ended up falling for CY very deeply so they ended up even more entangled before CY could fully awaken as ZT.

Rewatching pillow book because I was feeling so nostalgic the other day
i noticed the part where Zheyan is telling Fengjiun about how Donghua used have to deal with the demons coming to challenge and attack him constantly.
Around 28:10, Zheyan mentions something about the biggest demon of the realms at the time who ended becoming his “subordinate” ( this part I didn’t get because the subtitles say that but what he really said was “ little brother”?)
Now as far as I know the only demon that Donghua actually called a friend in those times was Shaowan. I like the fact they included that there because I’m sitting here waiting for the other novels to be completed
Also rewatching it and realising how amazing Fengjiu is and devoted to showing her gratitude to Donghua is getting me emotional again. I have to remind myself how much she was tortured and still remained herself. It’s funny how all the other women crumble when they’re rejected by Donghua but Fengjiu doesn’t let her pain affect how she treats others in her life.
Watching the first part of show makes you think Fengjiu is wayy too good for Donghua. The show tries to convince how majestic and perfect Donghua is but Fengjiu is definitely the one to be respect. All that heartbreak she went through and that wasn’t even her heavenly trial.
