Just finished the last episode and I can say, I am not fully satisfied with the end. Happy ending indeed but there wasn't interaction/romantic moments between XF and JM, not even a last kiss!!!
For Ran Yu it was sad to see him all alone and miserable but it was his punishment for his eager to have power and thing he can't get by force like the love of JM.
I will miss very much this beautiful drama and this wonderful lovely couple. I plan to rewatch it again to understand it more.

SpoilerI am wondering what do members here think about what XF said to JM when he told her he misunderstood her... did he told her all this to push SH to use the fire spell or he sincerly told JM all this?
I didn't understand why JM sacrified herself in the battle was it to stop war or to save XF as he was injured byNight? Did Night gives half of his life to save her soul ?
In the Novel she said something about the pill? Didn't understand also this part? Anyone can clarify to me about that please, thanks.

@Mau_Cherry I also agree with you. I want this change, i liked the novel but i hope for their reconciliation before the battle. I think in the battle according to the trailers videos, she will be by the side of XF not as a hostage but Night thinks she is and with all his creepy obessession wouldn't believe she wants to stay with XF.
I am so excited to watch the wedding's episode ^^
I heard that there will be only one episode today, is it true?!!

I think also that after they finished the marriage's ritual XF figured out it was JM.
Night's actions are getting more worse. Can he be less obssessed and understand we can't force someone to love back?!!!
I am afraid the end will be rushed, the battle and the happy ending will be only in two episodes!!!

When he thought SH saved him, he wanted to devote himself to her but after knowing that it's JM who saved him, no reaction?!!!!!
I can't understand why the screewriter made him so silly and stubborn!!! it's a disappointment >_<

SpoilerYes, I am pretty sure he knew she was the Rabbit , i think because of this he saved the rabbit ^^ he still care about her but hidden it until the great battle between him and Night or maybe before as there is a scene where he hold her back and a wedding scene!!!

That's what i saw also and looking for a confirmation if Xu Feng did married Jin Mi and I think he did it. But in the novel, there wasn't a marriage ?!!!

Sorry to cut your post. I was unable to hate Night since a long time - just in the end - when he overstepped everything and used each and everybody - even JM in the most terrible way - I hated him for real. But I still feel sad for him too.
He is not heartless at all - his heart nearly broke when his Mother died. But where did he came from - the real love from his mother was related to pain but he forgot it all - and from that day on there was noone who really loves him or showed him how you should love someone. As the Night he even worked alone all the time - just the Nightmare Beast was by his side. He only became greedy when he found out what the Emporer and the Empress did - and after he falls for JM. Yes - I see that he really loves JM but his wish for revange was bigger and he tried to calculate and manipulate everything in the way he wished to. It works the most time - but just not for JM. From the Moment on he fixed the unfeeling pill I could not forgive him anymore - but he did worst.

I agree with you in most point about Night, I can understand that Night suffered and was broke but still i think he has no right to do what he did especially manipulating Jin Mi, and causing chaos between her and Xu Feng!!!
I am wondering what happened to him in the end in the novel?!!!

The storyline in the series is perfect... Personally.. I love it... Nice love story.. Too bad I dunno where to watch live streaming for this series. If I know I definitely will watch live streaming to support this series..

In d book, actually JM is d one who that she was pregnant with XF. But in the series Is XF the one who protect JM. This make the story more sense.

I started this drama fews days ago and i stopped in 40 episode waiting for eng sub.
I loved the lead couples, i like the character of Xu Feng, but i was angry sometimes On Jin Min who was indecisive and so naive and silly. About Night i skipped most scenes he was in, how he pretends that he loves Jin Mi and did all this ?!! He is heartless and selfish!!
I saw some spoilers about next episodes and can't wait to see what will happen.
SpoilerIs Jin Mi pregnant with the child of Xu Feng? As i saw in one of the episodes when the heaven empress attacked Jin Mi and Xu Feng saved her, he told his mother that Jin Mi is his woman and she is already carried his son!!!
I know that in the novel they had a son but not sure about if it is same in the drama?
Also i saw in one of trailer, they are celebrating their marriage by bowing, anyone knows when ( in which episode) they got married?

It was same for me after finished Legend of Fuyao, which was great and loved so much Wufu couple. I heard about Ashes of Love and remembered that i saw Deng Lun with Dilraba in Sweet dreams. I waited until more episodes were subbed as i committed the fault to watch Legend of Fuyao when it was aired and it was a torture to wait for eng sub. Even Ashes of love is not fully subbed i enjoyed reading comments and translations of members here. I also could read the book which was translated in eng and could know about the end.
I loved this series and i am rewatching the first episodes waiting for eng sub of last episodes. Hope Deng Lun and Yang Zi will have another historical drama together. They have such an amazing chemestry!!!
