    I think it was a smart and strategic move by VAST to deny hand holding rumours so fast. Had the speculation spread more they would have been attacked by K-netz for being unprofessional so I think they did a great job not letting the situation go out of control. Also I noticed how this statement is making people talk as if they denied dating when clearly in all the articles translations I read nowhere VAST addressed dating they just said they are not holding hands that's syj's hands clasped together. It's like killing two birds with one stone. They denied one rumour but people are also thinking they denied dating when they clearly didn't. So this doesn't give media more chance to speculate because they themselves are saying that VAST denied rumours again. 

     

    I also love how so far VAST is doing all the work and protecting both the actors.After all we all love protective NAMJA CHINGU (deluluuuuuu)

    Same I remember when someone posted about not discussing such things openly few fans didn't get it. But this is what most of the shippers were fearing that it may make it to news and there will be another denial which may not sit well with few sensitive shippers. They are being highly scrutinised now and media is on high alert to out them and now is making articles about fan analysis. Holding hands under table while working can really be sighed upon especially in Skorea. Somethings should be discussed privately just my personal opinion.

     

    EDIT: The reporters are stressing that Vast denied DATING BUT if you read the article they just denied holding hands, This isn't third denial.

    Looks like some people are disheartened with recent bts and wrap up party hug but for me they are not teenagers they are in their late 30s and who knows how long they have been dating for? Let's say after negotiation that makes it 2 years so I think they have enough practice to control themselves and not be lovey dovey all the time. I don't know why people are reading too much into wrap up party hug it was obviously we did well, we worked hard kind of hug even couples who respect each others work can have such kind of hugs not just full body passionate hugs also there were around 100 people in that room. If HB wanted to hug syj passionately he would have to pull her on his lap to do so now we don't want VAST working overtime again do we? Poor employees have families to return to. 

    About manner hands he was indeed giving her manner hands but I think whenever he gives her manner hands he contemplates a little like he about to touch her and then he is like no no we are at work place (delulu) but why are we not noticing that sometimes he fails to do so. Like his hands have been to naughty places ( back hug, also swz after para gliding kiss). Also in the same bts where he gave her manner hands he was playfully dragging her after the failed hug and director gave a cut. That felt like a couple moment between them.  Now why would you do that to your just friend or colleague. It's good stay grounded but sometimes I feel it's not too good be to negative. If you look for negative things you will just find excuses to debunk yourself. Just stay rational and ship no need to think too much. Also I have noticed they are little careful when they are outdoors while they are indoors they let themselves a bit loose. Just to remind some of you that hospital bts happened after Switzerland bts.

    Not sure if it's only me but I do think they are dating (well I have my own reasons and instincts) and in future if this ship doesn't sail for whatever reason I will believe they were a thing and didn't work out till then I will ship them happily and rationally. Hope I didn't offend anyone. If so I'm sorry and happy shipping to all the binjin shoppers:wub:. I look forward to reading all your theories

    I can't believe it's over. Never knew I would get this attached to this drama when I started watching it. I really was prepared for this drama to lose its momentum from the second half and for a messy ending but no I was proved wrong the writer really did her research and was able to keep me and most of us hooked till the end. The ending totally came off as a big surprise to me I was so prepared for a Goblin kind of ending till the last 20 minutes of the drama and then bam!! the writer surprised me with the most realistic and politically correct Happy Ending ( some may say it's open but for me it is not just a happy ending but also a HAPPILY EVER AFTER). Yes waiting a whole year and then just getting two spend two weeks sounds sad but in their case it's a blessing. At least two weeks every year is better than not being able know when they will meet again in future and just wait and pray desperately. I do think that they will find a permanent solution in future. I wouldn't say his parents death but maybe once RJH's father retires? Maybe after 5 years they will come up with a permanent solution and in future when he has got nothing to lose in Nkorea he may probably defect to stay close to se ri and his twins . I loved the ending especially the kiss scene in the end felt so realistic and natural. Also thank you director for giving us one good kiss scene with good camera angles.

    Gsj's death really hit me hard I felt sorry for the couple. Yes they deserved happiness but later fortunately I was able to make my peace with it seeing Seo Dan moving on with her life as an independent single woman. I do agree with her "Being Single is trendy these days". I loled for good 2-3 minutes at the parasite reference. I love how this drama is subtly bringing the actors previous works into play. YSR,RJH and Ducklings are officially the best Kdrama squad ever no one can top them. After RJH-YSR, PCS-YSR frenemy relationship is my favourite bond in this drama. Their scenes never failed to crack me up. I will miss the ahjumma's too.They represent the whole fandom when it comes to fangirling over handsome captain Ri. Gosh !! these characters feel like a family to me it's difficult to bid goodbye to them.

    I'm glad that YSR has someone in Skorea she can rely on now. Her bond with her step mom was the progress I needed to see to be assured that she will be safe in Skorea without RJH. Also her first brother and SIL who annoyed me in the first half started to crack me up in the end. Lol those two are meant for each other.

    Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin deserve awards for their phenomenal acting in cloy. Especially the melo and angst scenes in hospital, interrogation room and the emotional reunion South Korea you better not forget to award these two if you do its nothing less than a crime. I read a tweet on twitter that the border reunion scene killed all the reunion scenes in Kdrama land and I agree. I had to pause the episode to get over the emotions I was going through. These two successfully made shed some good amount of tears during that scene. They indeed are the best actor and actress in the Korean Industry and now I'm proud to be their fan.

    Last but not the least BinJin's chemistry one of the biggest reasons apart from the brilliant writing is what I believe made the drama what it is today. RiRi will always remain iconic couple to me and I don't think it would have been the same if not for BinJin. Their chemistry is insane and they were successfully able to convey the deep love that riri had for each other. Hope they win best couple award this year. Also I hope this ship sails in real life too. :wub:

    Also if anyone knows how to move on from a kdrama that has taken over ones life please let me know. You would be helping mankind by doing so:D

     

    TVN better check your DM who knows VAST might have left some greetings in there because their CEO and his co star looks so married here:wub:

    Only way the writer can give a realistic happy ending is to have one of them defect. I doubt rjh would do so and having ysr defect will create controversy in Skorea. I think it's gonna be an open ending where they will finally meet in Switzerland unsure of their future. I can't think of anything else tbh. If anyone has a better prediction do share because I would love to sleep with a hope that I maybe surprised by the writer tomorrow

    @INeedAFan same. I would prefer it if they give us a sad ending rather than an open ending. Atleast we will get a closure with sad ending. Open endings are the worst kinda ruins the impact the drama has made on me. After going through 16 episodes of so many mixed emotions we as a viewers deserve a closure so I hope the writer gives one and if she has a sad ending planned I hope she doesn't succumb to the pressure of fans demanding a happy ending and gives an open ending as fan service.

    Hi everyone I have been a silent lurker from the past few weeks I love reading all your posts. Thanks for keeping this thread moving makes the wait for new episodes much easier.

    Btw someone shared this picture with me and according to this person the baby's mother captioned the pic as little se ri. Is it true? I can't read hangul so can't confirm also does the third baby look similar to the twins?

    Okay now that I have watched episode 14 with subs it turned out to be better than what I expected. They almost wrapped SR backstory plot and also her issue with her second brother and inheritance is almost wrapped. Now we only have the major plot CCG and otp's final fate left to be solved. Judging by writers previous work pattern I believe ccg issue will be solved in next episode and our otp will be saying their goodbyes by the end of episode 15. I know something felt missing compared to initial episodes but I think this was needed to keep the plot moving. I have also made my peace with lack of skin ship . I never wanted a steamy scene but light peck or hug like in tonight's episode whenever there's opportunity is what I wanted in terms of intimacy which this episode gave unlike the previous Skorea based episodes. 

    I don't think RJH got shot even if he gets shot it has to be part of some plan ( Fake gun shot like in LOTBS). Like users here mentioned RJH seems to have noticed NIS following him so I'm sure writer will bring in a twist here. CCG has successfully escaped till episode 14 no point in letting him escape for the third time the writer is smarter than that. So still  going to trust the writer here till the end of episode 15 and as for ending no I can't trust Korean writers when it comes to endings all the beautiful dramas got ruined because of the lacklustre endings so I'm gonna prepare myself for (goblin/MLFAS) kind of ending. If there's a well-executed happy ending I will be the happiest and CLOY will be one of the best kdramas I have ever watched. I hope this becomes a drama that I would want to re-watch on my vacations rather than the one that I wouldn't even want to think about because of the mediocre ending.

    NGL I really think the relationship development between the couple is going in circles. I mean till episode 12 it's okay but I expected some progress in episode 13( No I don't mean bed scene ). How long will they play this holding back game? Lack of intimacy is really unrealistic. When you are love you just go with the flow and especially when you are in love as deep as RiRi no matter how strong you are in holding back your emotions there's always a moment of weakness where you just give in. Like some users mentioned forehead kiss or a peck should have been fine. I'm unable to digest that the writer who has been able to give three kiss scenes in NK has failed to give any kind of progress in intimacy in SK doesn't make sense. By the end of the day it's romcom people watch it for the love story between leads and their romantic development. The chemistry is being under-utilised imagine having actors like HB-SYJ and having fans complain about skin ship. Again no one is asking for unnecessary or forced skinship but the increase in number of misses opportunities is really frustrating. Like someone mentioned it's really hard to digest 30+ adults behaving like high school teenagers in terms of intimacy. 

     

    Anyways I'm going to keep my expectations low about the skinship development in episode 14 so if there's indeed a progress I would like to get surprised. But if it doesn't happen lol I can already see all hell breaks lose here on this thread, twitter and other sns:sweatingbullets:
