@chi13louI don't consider myself to be a long time fan of his. I “met” him almost four years ago and from what I know in general he talks about his fans and how grateful he is to them. Rarely talks about his family.
In my opinion he never has praised so much one of his previous co-stars as he did with JE in the last month. About JHB all I know is that he denied the rumors about their date. After all they belong to the same agency and it is no wonder if they are friends. Just friends. In my opinion the fact that they have been seen together doesn't mean too much. But his behavior at SAF awards it was unexpected for me because even if he won Best Couple Award before with another actress he was not so enthusiastic as now. All his gestures towards JE were like he wanted to say “She is under my protection”. Who knows what happened between them? What I found strange is the fact that it seems that JG knew before JE that they will win and from what I understand he convinced her to go to the ceremony. Here things are unclear to me. But it is clear that it was something more than usual.
On another side I do not remember that after the army, he to appear in the shows of other singers. And if I'm right in one of his interviews (I'm not sure if it was in 2016 or older one) he admitted to having secret dates but he said that he will reveal his girlfriend only when he decides to marry. Maybe an older fan than me who knows him better can say more, sorry it's all I know and overall is already what you also know.

I think that what happened today it's called fan-service. JG was very happy especially that Director Anderson said that those two (Mila and JG) will be cast together in other films of his. And nope, his behavior in front of Mila does not compare with his behaviour towards JE. As I can see almost all those skinship were initiated by Mila. Maybe Mila knows how MLSHR was perceived in Korea and she wanted to show to the koreans fans how much she appreciates him.

Thank you to all those who posted photos and videos from RE6 press conf. It is wonderful to see how much credit and appreciation these people gave to him for his acting skill, beauty and personality. For me the feeling is overwhelming. I'm so glad that they liked him so much.

As a fan we should really keep in mind to hold our horses. LJG knows better than any of us. Sometimes we thought we want what's best for him but our post actually sounds like we undermine & underestimate his capability. If rating is more important to him, he could have done those cheesy dramas a long time ago. Though rating still matters to him but the quality of roles & better exposure are more valuable to him basing on his choices of drama.
Another thing not related to this post. How can some of his fan criticise his drama about wrong choices and how bad the drama was? It's ok if it's constructive but so many comments are posted here which are not constructive at all. Some even say that he wasted his talent in ML? What is that? That is as good as saying what a lousy actor he is.
That is why I made a conclusion that not everyone here is a fan. Some maybe are actually anti but just pretended to be a fan.
Going back to rating, it's is not everything. Jang Bori rated more than 40%, but did it make any difference to actors? Maybe it did but I don't think it's that grand.
I want to give you +100 likes for your brave comment.
This is the difference between some of the so-called objective LGJ fans and the bias fans of other Korean stars. I don't want to say more but before we criticize his projects (not him, of course, but the writer, the plot, his co-star, etc) we should think that every comment of this kind will be shown with their finger by his antis. Only God knows how many they are.

Hi, and welcome.
As JG fan I really needed a confirmation. From what you say I need to understand that it's JKH merit in her visible transformation. I don't know her too well but her old fans from this thread said that her behavior changed gradually only in last few months. It looks like it took him a long time (years) to change her for the better. I admire his patience and perseverance. And I must to admit that he is a very reasonable guy.
At least now I can let behind my delulu mind and I can ship JG and JE as friends.

It is exactly what I want. As I said he made his move. It's her turn to answer. And maybe it will take more time but I, for one, am ready to wait. That doesn't mean that my heart is doubting, it's means it's in stand-by mode. And I think that their mutual appearance in their shows in Taiwan didn't mean only their support for each other but also a “Good By” to ML drama and to their WS/HS characters.

As much as I want more crumbs or even a full cake I think it's already reached a point in which JG will stop. (My speculation thought). It is obvious that he made the first move by giving signals (to his fans and JE fans) that he may have deeper feelings for JE than a simple friendship. But if in this moment it's nothing more between them, he has to give her space and time to think. Of course that my delulu mind can speculate everything. In this moment I look forward to the RE press conference. If JE will appears there (with or without ML cast) It will means a big support for him.
Both of them must focus on their next projects and it is possible we will have less crumbs in the future. Anyway they both have fed us too much, too fast and I become too greedy.

OK! Korea likes rom-com and even JG said he would like to play in a rom-com drama... but... this would be more risky (considering how many international fans has JoonU couple). How many of us would like to see him in a lovey-dovey story with another actress even she's an A++++actress? I think it's less risky for him to take this kind of drama (action/cop with less romantic development), even if this kind of drama is not very appreciated in Korea. Anyway it looks like the complaints started to flow even if we don't know if he will accept or not this drama.

It is very possible that he will choose to “kill the bear”. Each of us has preferences regarding the dramas but let's be objective. We don't know what offers he got and I can almost bet that most of them are historical dramas. We don't know yet if he will accept this role. No matter what project he will choose I can't wait to see him acting again. And I think he knows better than any of us what to risk and what not to risk when he choose a project. All we can do is to support him in his decision.

I hope he will have in HK the same success as in Taiwan, maybe the higher one. I also don't wish that his future project to be about doctors. And I'm agree with you and @hiluna that a thriller/action drama will be better. Anyway I will support him whatever will be his new project.

I don't know if someone else has replied before me to this question. I didn't get to read all the comments. The story behind the earrings in the shape of a cross is a sad one. When he decided to become an actor no one in his family supported him with the exception of his grandmother who was catholic. She wear at her neck a silver cross. (Well I don't remember exactly if there was silver or not). He was very close to his grandmother and he loves her very much. While filming the King and the Clown his grandmother died. She never got a chance to see the success of her grandson's. But he was not allowed to leave the set and to participate in her funeral. After that, he made a pair of earrings from his grandmother's cross. Wore them in his ears when he filmed My Girl drama. Those earings in this pictures are not the same.
I read about this story from his older fans comments but I know he said about that in one of his interview.

I want to bother you again with a little detail. At the beginning of this thread (it's hard to find the page) I posted a link of a comment in the JG thread. The comment said that JG has a girlfriend (if I'm not mistaken was posted on September) and I managed to upset many of you. But that comment came after JG has denied (twice) the rumors about him and JHB. I don't think he lied because the lie it's a grave sin in the Christian religion. So I immediately thought that that friend is JE. Of course it was just my feeling, that's why I put in this thread the link to that comment. But... at that time I didn't know that JE has a boyfriend.
Now, after few months, I have a question I want to ask. Where was her boyfriend when she has gone through so many hard times being criticized, judged and offended while the drama was broadcast and even before and even after? I haven't heard about him to be out in public to support her. To say that she is a talented actress and a wonderful singer. Maybe he did it on the phone or on her IG, twitter or FB but I think it was much more important for her to do it in public. As JG does. I'm sorry I don't want to offend him, maybe in Korea it is not customary among celebrities who have a relationship to do that, but his silence seemed strange to me. And if there's any interview/public appearance in which her boyfriend took her defense, my apologies for the question.
