    A comment devoid of feeling

    Our feminist  judgment of the 21st century women it makes us to forget an important thing: GJ is not a man like the other. Before him to be a lover, a husband, a friend, a brother or a future father he is the king. The decisions of the king can not be commented, denied or omitted by absolutely no one, even if he's right or wrong! A king does not have to make compromises for anyone... GJ has made already the mistake to listen to HS and to leave CR in the palace. That led to girl's death. The orders were executed not commented, otherwise you lost your head. It is normal that someone like HS could not have accepted that life if she doesn't want to lost herself. She doesn't belong to that time, to that place. Actually she couldn't live constrained in the laws of the Goryo no matter who she have loved or with whom she would have married. Loving a king who could not marry her, it makes things worse. She never had full confidence in him. She can't made the same sacrifice as Lady Oh. she can't sustain the decisions of her king, she is unable to bring him comfort due to her own unhappiness, she can't do anything than to love him and leave him. She will suffer, the king will suffer, we will suffer (perhaps the most) but this is the most logical end.

    This is the first drama who torn me apart between my reason and my feelings. My brain told me that GJ did the right thing cleaning the palace of traitors but my feelings go with HS telling me that the way in which he did that it was too cruel. I will try to watch the last two episode without to judge, without feeling because otherwise I will go crazy. Even so I have a little hope thinking that GJ will trick YH. He promised her that he will give her what she wants if she will give up on her family (Wook). After he will take his vengeance on Wook without YH to oppose him, she will ask him to give her what he promised to her. All I want to hear from him is: I lied.

    For me my So-Soo ship will never sink. It will float adrift in the open ocean like Flying Dutchman for a thousand years.

    I don't think WS/GJ was cruel! He was right, his decisions have been correct They all deserved their punishment. And HS complaining of every of his decision (even if they are harsh) it weakens him and makes him suffer. If she hadn't insisted that CR to stay in the palace maybe CR would have escaped. It looks like HS didn't learned anything from her experience of Goryeo. She remained the same human being, naive and gullible. She's ready to forgive them all. But GJ as a king, can't do that. I have to congratulate Ji mong because he stopped her to marry him. If HS would have been GJ's  Queen probably his reign would have lasted a few months and Goryeo would have vanished from the map. That's why YH is much better as a queen. Jung must learn to live without the patronizing wing of his mother. And I love how GJ/WS took revenge on his mother. Brilliant episode!

    I second that. Even he mentioned it in an interview or he was asked in a show (if I'm not mistaken was in 2009-2010, sorry I don't remember exactly), that he is afraid of the knife of a plastic surgeon :)

    On live-stream the best moments of this episode for me:

    1 - Wedding night Yeon Hwa

    2 - GJ speaking with his dying mother. I don't know what they were talking but the expression on LJG face was very intense.

    Although I'm only at page 1529 reading the comments I want to thank those who will comment this episode. I can't wait to understand what happened in this episode.

    No, he can't change the rules. For that he needs the support of the mighty clans. He can't risk a mutiny at this moment.     I think HS will always love WS, even in her death. But here is the problem. It looks like Hae Soo will not be able to understand that now Wang So IS THE KING. As a king, he must punish the betrayal in an exemplary manner for this to not happen again. Unfortunately she is too weak and sick to bear it, so she will chose to leave the palace. That's why Hae Soo said that she wants that the two of them to meet in another era. Taking the throne Wang So has become Gwangjong. He didn't want the throne so he can marry Hae Soo. He wanted the throne to put an end to the killings of the brothers and to not be blackmailed again with the life of Hae Soo. As much as I hate Yeon Hwa she is strong enough and willing to withstand the tough decisions that a king must take. And in this moment she's more suitable as a Queen than Hae Soo. (Sorry to said this). Yes, Wang So will never love her, but she didn't wanted love, she wanted power.

    I know many of you will not agree with me but as I feared they lengthened the story of love between HS/WW and the last years of Taejo reign, in the first 11-12 episodes. And now in the last episodes they gave it on fast forward due to lack of time. In the last five-six episode things have happened so fast for me that I got dizzy but I must thank to LJG because in one of his interviews he warned fans that this would happen. Like he said I'm gonna to put my imagination to work but even so, I would have wanted to see more happy moments between HS/WS.before the drama to be over.

    At this point in the story So doesn't know yet Yeon Hwa implication in the assassination attempt of prince Mo. He only knows that his mother put this up to. He doesn't know about Wang Wook role in poisoning Mo. It seems like he only suspects that Won was involved. I wonder if he ever finds out the truth and from who. If he will find out about all these plots and lies I'm not surprised if he will become berserk and will punish all of them. My hunch is that he will not find out about Yeon Hwa, because only WW knows about that.

    Even after all these years WS doesn't know who was the man that Hae Soo loved before him? In this moment Hae Soo loves him she made love to him ? (still isn't clear to me) and yet she has kept this only for her. If I remember correctly he asked her twice (in the previous episodes) who is that man. It may have been a clue in last week's episode that he knows about WW and I missed it? There are many Questions that perhaps will remain unanswered. Anyway at this point of the story may not even matter and this drama is going in the direction I've been waiting for. I knew there wasn't going to go against the history and it's end in Goryeo will be sad, so I set up my heart.

    In large I would agree with you. But reading that comment I understand that source is a korean fan very close to LJG entourage and I considered a credible one. Of course everyone is free to think what she/he wants. Was not my intention to ruin your mode and I apologize if I did that :(

    For me, is the first time too when I ship a couple of actor/actress. (LJG/IU) They are perfect together and so beautiful...:heart:  And like many of you I hope is IU. I don't think that there is an old relation. In 2014 when he was shooting Gunman in Joseon he said that he has no girlfriend because he has no time to find one. The rumors about him and Jeon Hye-Bin he denied them three times and even NAMOO got involved and denied them. I don't think he lied. Whoever his girlfriend is (still I clung to my hope to be IU) my feeling is that they will not disclose too soon this aspect of their private life because unfortunately, sometimes fans are a terrible thing.
