Wow, thanks to everyone for the info on the book translations!
I know the drama has been finished awhile ago. And, there were criticisms about the drama. But, it is a drama that has stayed with me. I think it was because there was so much heart in the drama. Every so often, I'll remember a scene and go to watch it . And, for a drama that is three years old!

Thank You for translating the six questions and answers. It's really helpful to understand the relationships between the characters, fictional and factual.
Interesting that King Gongmin was the character in Faith, played by Ryu Deok Hwan and General Choi was played by Lee Min Ho. And, the child saved by Kim Hee Sun was Yi Seong Gi, who would eventually kill General Choi.
Then, in the movie, Frozen Flower, Gongmin was played by Joo Jin Mo, with Jo In Sung as Hong Ryun, who would eventually assassinate the king.
And, now, this drama is the aftermath of those events.

My prediction for the ending:
I think the betrayer will kill the elder because the elder is going to kill CSY's mother. Naturally, that will also mean the betrayer will be kill, too. So, all 5 friends will be together, at last. The elder has to kill CSY's mother because she's the last surviving person who can testify to their corruption.
As the betrayer said, there will always be an elder. So, a new 'elder' means that the fight for justice and to reveal corruption and related crimes will continue for the Someday team. :-??
I think there should be a petition for Ji Chang Wook to become the next James Bond. He's got all the right moves. He's got the swagger. He's got the style. He's got the charisma. He's got the looks. He was fantastic in ep 19, which was better than MIF. He is better than Tom Cruise in MIF, any day.) -
In looking back on this drama, it actually didn't have a very complicated story. But, even if the story wasn't complicated or had a lot of twist and surprises, the story was told well. The production did an excellent job of taking a simple straight-forward story and gave it good directing, editing, inspiring and funny touches, a solid cast of veteran actors and superb acting to create a very good drama.
In the wrong hands, this drama could have been a disaster.
It was great to see the Jang and Jang reunion, after all these years. Man, they looked like babes in "Successful Story of a Bright Girl". Neither Jang's have ever disappointed their audience with their acting. Some comments mentioned Chuno for Jang Hyuk. But, the role that I always remember is another below the radar drama named, "Robbers". (Have a box of tissue if you watch this one.) His acting in that drama tore out not only your heart, but your guts, too. =D> -
Ahhh . . . Now, Gun's unusual antics is understandable since it's probably related to his Huntington's Chorea disease.. And, why Gun was talking about 20 years.
The acting by Jang Hyuk, Jang Nara and Wang Ji Won are so powerful that one can really feel for the characters. =D> -

As usual, jTBC has made another interesting drama. I can't recall what European movie had a similiar piano duet scene, where the scene was filmed like they were having sexual intercourse, leading up to the finale as the climax. Since this was a drama, that scene didn't have the intensity of the scene in the movie. I do wish the directing and editing, for that scene, had been better.
Her love affair is not with the person, but with the music that the person provides. His love affair will be with a world totally different from his daily life.
And, the rest of the characters are just a group of vipers flaunting their ugliness in a world of beautiful music.
There are certain a lot of opposites in this drama. This drama will certainly offer an interesting journey. /:)-

SN knows that Maha is her son. She confirmed it with the nun, who gave Maha to Tanishiri, by saying the baby had the 3 birthmarks on the feet. But, I also think she will keep the secret from everyone else, except Wang Yu. And, that's why he's not so broken-hearted in the opening scene because, as Empress, she will be 'mother' to their son.
Maha is her ace card to have a Goreyo person sit on the Yuan throne because the Yuan people may not want a half-Yuan and half-Goreyo person on their throne, i.e. SN and TH's son.
So, the joke, and SN's ultimate revenge, is that instead of a half-Yuan, half-Goreyo person on the throne, Yuan will have a full Goreyo person on their throne. -
El Temur was truly evil, but brilliant. As a parting gift before his death, he left a legacy for each of of them, making use of each person's greatest fear/weakness.
For BA, who loves Yuan above all else, ET predicted that the Yuan Dynasty will fall.
For TH, he predicted that he will be controlled by a Goreyo person.
For Empress Dowager, who valued power to rule the Inner Court, he awaken her fear that Ki would usurp her power.
He planted all those seeds of doubt and mistrust. And, those seeds are starting to germinate which will lead to discourse between all the remaining characters from now on. :-?
Even though Ki and Tal Tal worked out a brilliant plan to rid everyone of ET and clan, they will still never trust her because she is not a Yuan person. Knowing this bias against her, Ki will not reveal that Maha is her and Wang Yu's son. Otherwise, Maha will be in danger of being harmed or displaced by TH's son. Or, even worse, if the new Empress has a son, that son may be installed as crown prince, instead of Maha or Ki's son. This is what Ki will be fighting to prevent next.
SN's revenge score:
1 down = ET clan, specifically Dangski (for killing her mother).

As for ET's family, their familial loyalty to each other is commendable and yet, totally damning. If only once, one of them had the guts to say, 'No', the outcome of so many things may be different. If Dangski had not complied with Tanashiri's whine about killing Lady Park, who can say what may have happen. Too bad. :-??
BTW, I hope that SN whispered to Tanashiri that Maha is SN's child. > -
Oh, for pete's sake! We've had to suffered the ET Clan long enough and now, we have to suffer through ET's dementia! Dementia, Alzheimer, senility must be the new 'cancer' for the dramas.
Let ET have the rapid and severe kind of dementia. Then, have him go so delusional that he kills both sons. Then, when TN comes running in, ET thinks she's an evil demon and slays her too. Then, he can go sit in the jail cell, blithering like the nut-case that he is. He can entertain himself playing with the fairies, leprechauns, elves, ogres, etc. that he sees crawling out from beneath the straw on the dirt floor. 8-| -
The cast for this drama is very good; veteran and strong actors. The intricacy of the story reminds me of "Time Between Dog and Wolve".
But, they've already had a stupid part in the drama. And, that is believing him to have killed Woo Jin. There is a vast difference between a bullet from a rifle and a bullet from a handgun. Of course, I guess her Daddy Dearest has supposed to have 'arranged' everything. But, still. Is there no defense who could have figured this out?!
BTW, I guess she finally graduated to be a first-class jewelry designer from "I Summon You, Gold". LOL) -
The explosion of animal pelts, in this episdoe, made me wide-eyed. But, the two brothers wearing 'shrugs' had me ROFL.
The comments in this thread are hilarious. El Virus, El Plague, Ma Ma-cita, etc. Are we trying to compete with the subs? Or, have we been contaminated/influenced by the subs? -

If you want to see more about Ki and her family watch Shindon, available on crunchyroll, though I do believe the image of Empress Ki is a total caricature in that one, but it does give a lot of accurate history about her family in Koryeo and about Gongmin's going wacky when his Yuan wife died.
The subs for this on Hulu are quite good.

@ChelseaS: Excellent comparisons. As the song goes, "What a difference A Day Makes". What a difference a word makes. It can make or break a conversation. It can make a scene important or a scene forgettable.
Interestingly, on another drama thread, the issue of subbing blew up into a controversy where a one-person subber stopped subbing. And, the original impetus for him to undertake a one-person subbing project was because he wanted to get the nuances and tone exactly correct. Here, we're not even talking about tones and nuances, but accuracy.
As one comment pointed out, this level of subbing is nothing new and has been on-going for many years, even in the boxed set of DVD's. And, it was exactly because of this level of subbing that started the movement of fan-subbing years ago. And, the idea of fan-subbing was latched onto by some smart entrepreneurs to create Viki.
BA is also on a revenge mission against ET, in behalf of the last Khan. However, he has been no match for ET, in the political maneuvers or people manipulations. So, he is using SN, as his last hope, to help help him avenge the last Khan. She is also his last pride because, if they are successful, he helped create her into a potential concubine candidate. She will salvage his last shred of dignity so that he can honorably face the memory of the last Khan. -

Is anyone else watching Six Flying Dragons? I'm having an awful time with the Choi Young character in that drama.
First, he's a dunce. And, he's no hero. I understand that he can be old since this drama is years later from Faith. I even know that people shrink as they age. But, he's shrunk to the size of Dooley, the dinosaur. I wish they had gotten a more imposing actor to play the part because my mental image of Choi Young has been totally warped.
I guess I'll have to keep visiting scenes of Faith just to restore they Choi Young image in my brain, and especially to obliterate the Choi Young image from Dragons.
