Vote for Your Favorite Artist at 2012 MAMA!

Hi, guys! It’s that time of the year again! The Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) is happening on November 30th! It was held in Singapore last year, and is set to take place in Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center this year.

As expected, world star PSY has been nominated for Best Music Video, Best Male Performance, and Best Male Solo.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

TVXQ, Super Junior, and Big Bang lead the competition for two awards, Best Male Group and Best Global Group (Male). As of Nov. 13, Super Junior ranks No.1 followed by TVXQ and Big Bang in both categories: Best Male Group and Best Global Group. Besides two categories, Super Junior has been the top in three more categories: Best Dance Performance, Song of the Year, and The Artist of the Year.

Sistar, Girls Generation-TTS, 2NE1, and Kara have been nominated for Best Female Group, and As of Nov. 13, Sistar holds No.1 spot with 35%, and Girls Generation-TTS comes in the second place with 24%.

The Best Newcomer awards are also receiving a lot of interest. AOA, SPICA, Ailee, JUNIEL, and HELLO VENUS are competing in the female division. B.A.P, EXO-K, Busker Busker, Ulala Session, and John Park will fight for the male division. As of Nov. 13, JUNIEL is voted the Best New Female Artist and EXO-K is voted the Best New Male Artist.

And the most important part!
30 artists has been nominated for Artist of the Year. Among the nominees, below are Top 5.

1. Super Junior - 29.1%

2. Shinhwa - 27.7 %

3. TVXQ - 16.7%

4. Bigbang - 6.7%

5. Girls Generation - 5.1%

The voting poll has been opened to fans worldwide, who can begin voting once every day until it closes on November 28th at midnight (Korean Standard Time). By voting, fans will have the chance to express who they want to win alongside the MAMA judges, which consist of music critics, journalists and music business experts.
