With contrast to the minor roles he had in "Bittersweet Life", this time, he is determined with his resolution to gain recognition on the big screen as well with "June's Diary". "Lost" star, Kim Yoon Jin has been attracting attention for coming back to Korea to be involved in a local movie. "June's Diary" is a thriller that tells about how a diary, written in advance, had given rise to a series of murders that are carried out according to the contents of the diary and how a pair of young inspectors go about with this case. Director, Im Kyung Soo expressed his confidence for this movie while he also explained the movie, "This movie carries a really big message behind it and that is a "indifferent society". It will feel like it's unrealistic but in the actual truth, females can excel in the general society. They also can demonstrate ability that is not necessary inferior to that of men. This will probably be the first Korean movie where the story is lead totally by a female cop." Challenging another action movie 2 years after "My Wife is a Gangster 2", Shin Eun Kyung said, "Up til now, I have read countless screenplays, but so far, I'm most pleased with the character inside "June's Diary". The character Chu Ja Young in this movie, when she retrospect the killings is not like the female version of Song Kang Ho." Shin Eun Kyung explained her character more and was frank with her expectations, "She doesn't have a man beside her but she still shows a lot of toughness. I look like I'm enjoying this now but but I'm feeling really nervous. I specially learnt yoga for some of the scenes so that I can do perfectly in them." Even though it didn't cross his mind to shoot a movie after "Super Rookie", Mun Jung Hyuk was mesmerized when he saw the synopsis for "June's Diary" and was determined to star in it, "While I would like to try in movies like those horror movies or thrillers from foreign countries where there's only one main character, there are a lot of senior actors whom I can move ahead with, thus giving me the thought of taking this up. It allows me to absorb adequately so as to fit the character better."
