I have torrents taking up bandwidth right now, though, so it might actually be faster than that.

Also, the further away from home I got, the faster my download speed is...in Houston it was only 2Mb/s but in NY, 1400 miles away it's nearly 10x that...

And sometimes if you are uncertain about you speed call your internet providers! Sometimes they do silly things.. I use to have slow speed at one point out of random, and I had to call them and they fixed it!
