Actress Han Ji-Min had the first solo fan meeting after her debut in Japan.

According to SM C&C on 19th, Han Ji-Min met with nearly 1,000 fans in Japan at Tokyo Yomiuri Hall on 18th.

Because of the popularity of the drama ‘Rooftop Pince’ of SBS which was on TV in Spring 2012, Han Ji-Min could meet her fans in Japan. As the popularity of the drama ‘Rooftop Pince’ became higher, the popularity of Han Ji-Min also got attention.

An official of Han Ji-Min’s agency said that, “She had felt shy and had a pressure since it was the first solo fan meeting of her. However, she prepared seriously and put lots of efforts including practicing songs and other skills to make the fan meeting more meaningful.”

The fans who attended for the fan meeting said that, “Both Han Ji-Min who I met in the drama and the meeting are so beautiful and kind, which made me become her fan once again. We’d like to see her often in Japan.”

Meanwhile, Han Ji-Min is considering her next work after the end of ‘Rooftop Pince’. Recently, she donated her skill as a narrator of the Japanese documentary movie ‘Ending Note’ in Barrier-free version. [Photo=SM C&C]==========================================

On November 18 in Tokyo’s Yomiuri Hall, the actress held her first-ever exclusive Japan fan meeting which was planned following in the success and popularity of Rooftop Prince in Japan. 

Kicking things off with a special opening video, Han Ji Min popped out from behind the stage by singing a song and then introducing herself to the crowd in Japanese. 



The fan meet was filled with a variety of events for fans including a special photo time with the actress, a talk session on working on Rooftop Prince and even a cooking demonstration in which Han Ji Min showed how to make omurice just like her character Park Ha did in the drama.

She also read a touching letter the actress penned herself for the fans and sang Long After it Passes by Baek Ji Young from the Rooftop Prince drama OST and showing her hidden singing skills. 

A source close to the actress said, “Han Ji Min felt a lot of pressure and nervousness about her first exclusive fan meet but gave her all and even prepared a song to sing, which she has hasn’t done before.” 

The actress closed things off with a hand shake event with the fans as many fans expressed their hope and desire she would become more active in Japan as well.

Actress Han Ji-min’s first Japanese fan meet on Sunday at Yomiuri Hall in Tokyo drew more than 1,000 fans, who were dazzled and entertained by the star of this year’s hit drama “Rooftop Prince.”

It was the drama’s success in Japan that led her to hold the fan meet, and she managed an incredible feat: packing a large-scale venue as a woman entertainer.

The ceremony kicked off at 4 p.m. in the afternoon with a video of Han playing before the actress emerged onto the stage while serenading fans.

As well as greeting the crowd in Japanese, Han took time to take photos, talk about her hit SBS drama as well as cooking omurice for those present, just as she did on the show.

When the event drew to an end, the Hallyu actress also shook hands with each and every participant.

Han’s agency said that she was very nervous leading up to the showcase, “but thought it was necessary to express her thanks to fans there.”

Fans were also touched and many claimed they were won over by her showmanship.

Actor Han Ji-Min talked about why she narrated the barrier free version of the movie 'Ending Note.'
Han Ji-Min, who participated at the press conference for the movie 'Ending Note,' said, "To be honest, I didn't know much about Barrier Free movies before I participated in this project. I wanted to let at least some people know about this by participating." Barrier Free version movie offers commentary and narration for the blind and deaf. Han Ji-Min participated as a narrator through Talent Donation. She conveyed, "I realized movies, which are easily seen and enjoyed, can be delivered by words to some people. No many people known about the barrier free movie so they don't watch it, but I hope it is widely known so that many blind people can also enjoy movies. I made up my mind to participated in such good opportunity even though I lack a lot. I cried and also laughed a lot watching the movie."
'Ending Note' is a documentary about a father who starts his 2nd life after regular retirement but gets judged with the last stage of stomach cancer. Father, who calmly prepares his death rather than being disappointed, gets ready to say goodbye to his family writing things he wants and needs to do on a note.
Han Ji-Min added, "Everyone faces life and death. I wondered how many could prepare one's death so peacefully like this main character. Before, I'd be just sad to see someone die but the movie really made me think a lot about life. I even thought one could made a plan for one's life once again with this movie."
'Ending Note' was produced by Koreda Hirokaz of 'I Wish' and 'No one knows,' and was directed by Mami Snada. It will be released on the 29th.

I think picking Ji Min to do the narration for Ending Note was a great choice. Given how committed she is to social work and charities, it makes a lot of sense to have Ji Min narrate a movie so blind people can also enjoy it.

I don't think we'll end up seeing Ji Min singing at the event unless the event was recorded and eventually ends up on DVD in Japan. There's never any fancams in Japan like there is in Korea.
