Character descriptions

Noh Ki Jun (Kim Dong wook) is a member of the product development team, in the drama. Although he has a neat appearance and is an elite insurance actuary who graduated from a famous overseas university, he is a character who has gone through divorce three times. He is more familiar with marital issues than anyone else and brings his story to the forefront while developing divorce-related insurance based on his experience.

Lee Dong Wook may be starring in a new drama!

On June 4, industry insiders reported that Lee Dong Wook received an offer to star in the new drama “Divorce Insurance” (literal title).

In response to the reports, Lee Dong Wook’s agency KINGKONG by STARSHIP shared, “The actor is currently reviewing the offer to star in the new drama ‘Divorce Insurance.'”

The drama tells the story of a man who works at the product development team of an insurance company, devising insurance plans related to divorce. Director Lee Won Suk who received favorable reviews with the comedy film “Killing Romance” will be in charge of production.

Lee Dong Wook was reportedly offered to play the role of Noh Ki Joon, an elite insurance actuary who graduated from a prestigious overseas university but has gone through divorce three times.

While the broadcast schedule for the drama has not been decided yet, tvN remarked that they are “positively reviewing” whether to air “Divorce Insurance” next year.

Lee Dong Wook starred in various projects including the dramas “Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938” and “A Shop for Killers” as well as the film “Single in Seoul.”

Lee Dong Wook will reporteldy lead a new K-drama from tvN.

On June 4, media outlets reported that Lee Dong Wook has been chosen to lead the upcoming K-drama Divorce Insurance. 

Lee Dong Wook's agency King Kong by Starship responded to the circulating reports. According to the label, "Lee Dong Wook has been offered the main lead role for the upcoming series Divorce Insurance. The actor is currently reviewing it. Nothing has been decided."

This will possibly be one of the follow-up K-drama projects of Lee Dong Wook after the successful Disney+ original K-drama A Shop for Killers with Kim Hye Joon, Seo Hyun Woo, Park Ji Bin, Geum Hae Na, and Jo Han Sun. The Disney+ K-drama will also reportedly have a second season and the actor will be joining the series. 

Lee Dong Wook will also lead the upcoming JTBC K-drama The Good Man. He will work alongside Lee Sung Kyung, Ryu Hye Young, Oh Na Ra, Yoo Jae Myung, and Jo Woo Jin. 

The actor will also participate in the upcoming film Harbin with star-studded casts Hyun Bin, Park Jeong Min, Jo Woo Jin, Jeon Yeo Been, Park Hoon, and more. 

 

 

Divorce Insurance will tell the story of a souvenir development team who are working on a product for divorced people. The K-drama will showcase love, marriage, and divorce through the process of setting insurance premiums.

The upcoming K-drama will be the first K-drama work of director Lee Won Suk who is known for creating the films Killing Romance, The Royal Tailor, and How to Use Guys with Secret Tips.  Writer Lee Jae Yoon (Secret Royal Inspector & Joy) will pen the script for the upcoming K-drama.

Lee Dong Wook got the offer to portray the role of Noh Ki Joon. He is one of the members of the product development team. He is also known as an elite insurance accountant who came from a prestigious university abroad. He has been divorced three times and is more familiar than others with marital issues. 

According to reports, Divorce Insurance is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2025. The filming will begin in earnest after they have finalized the casting.

Lee Joo Bin will reportedly join hands with Lee Dong Wook and Lee Kwang Soo in the upcoming K-drama Divorce Insurance. 

On July 10, several media outlets reported that Lee Joo Bin will be the female lead in the upcoming K-drama Divorce Insurance. 

Lee Joo Bin's agency ANDMARQ shared their side regarding the reports. According to them, "It is true that the K-drama is proposed to the actress. It is one of the projects that she is reviewing. 

If Lee Joo Bin confirms her casting, this will be her third upcoming K-drama. 

Early this year, Lee Joo Bin starred in the hit tvN K-drama Queen of Tears with Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Won, Park Sung Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, Kim Gab Soo, and more. She perfectly portrayed the role of Cheon Da Hye, the wife of Kwak Dong Yeon's character Hong Soo Cheol who is part of a conglomerate family. 

After Queen of Tears, Lee Joo Bin is set to appear in the upcoming series Tarot with Cho Yeo Jung, Park Ha Sun, DEX, Go Gyu Pil, and Seo Ji Hoon.

On September 3, Lee Da Hee’s agency Ghost Studio announced, “Lee Da Hee will take on the lead role in ‘Divorce Insurance.'”

“Divorce Insurance” explores the world of a top-tier insurance company’s product development team as they create new insurance products related to divorce. The drama delves into the intricate process of assigning monetary values to divorce-related aspects and determining suitable insurance payouts.

The drama will be directed by Lee Won Suk, who helmed the comedy film “Killing Romance,” and written by Lee Tae Yoon, the scriptwriter of tvN’s “Secret Royal Inspector & Joy.”

Another Lee will be added to the main cast of the upcoming K-drama Divorce Insurance.

On September 3, media outlets reported that Lee Da Hee will be joining the main cast of the upcoming K-drama Divorce Insurance.

Lee Da Hee's agency Ghost Studio confirmed the reports and stated, "Lee Da Hee is joining the cast of tvN's new series Divorce Insurance."

This will be the second upcoming K-drama of Lee Da Hee. She is also set to lead the new series S Line with Lee Soo Hyuk, A Rin, Lee Kwang Hee, Lee Han Ju, and Lee Eun Saem. 

Lee Da Hee last starred in the 2023 K-drama Island Part 2. She also hosted the variety program Single’s Inferno Season 3 last year. In 2024, she was the main host of the survival program Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survivor. 

The actress is currently excelling both in acting and hosting.

Lee Da Hee made her acting debut in 2004. She is known for being part of the K-dramas Island, L.U.C.A.: The Beginning, Search: WWW, The Beauty Inside, Secret, I Hear Your Voice, and more.

On September 3, Korean media outlet Edaily reported that Lee Da Hee has bagged a role in tvN’s upcoming drama Divorce Insurance. Her agency Ghost Studio stated that she will appear as one of the main roles in this work alongside Lee Dong Wook, Lee Kwang Soo, and Lee Joo Bin. 

Her addition to this star-studded cast lineup is raising significant anticipation about the upcoming drama. Adding to the excitement, this will also mark Lee Da Hee’s return to the K-drama land after more than a year.
