Good Partner is a much-anticipated law drama starring Nam Ji Hyun and Jang Na Ra which is all set to premiere in July. It tells the story of a veteran divorce lawyer and a rookie who have very different morals and values but have to work together to solve cases. Excitement runs high as the talented cast comes together for this project. Nam Ji Hyun is known for hits like Suspicious Partner and Little Women. Jang Na Ra is known for Go Back Couple and The Last Empress.

It is expected to deliver empathy and catharsis as it follows divorce lawyers striving to make the best choices in the harsh game of life.  

The stills give a glimpse of Cha Eun Kyung and Han Yoo Ri's character dynamics. 

Cha Eun Kyung, looking fierce and flawless during a law school lecture, encounters Han Yoo Ri, who is sitting with a dull face as if seemingly bothered by something.

 

 

Then, when they reunite at the law firm Daejung, unlike her outspoken self in the past, rookie lawyer Han Yoo Ri is now very nervous in front of Cha Eun Kyung.

In the new teaser for SBS legal drama Good Partner, we get to see more of the opposites-attract dynamics between our two attorneys Jang Nara (My Happy Ending) and Nam Ji-hyun (High Cookie) as they handle the dog-eat-dog world of divorce litigation.

Divorce is inherently messy, so when it comes time to saddle up with a lawyer, it helps to get the very best. In this drama, the very best goes by the name of Cha Eun-kyung (Jang Nara), and she’s a divorce legal expert with 17 years of experience. The teaser opens by showing off her skills in how she correctly identifies her client as a cheater just with a look, something that amazes the eager rookie attorney Han Yuri (Nam Ji-hyun).

 

 

However, while Eun-kyung struts confidently now, we see in a flashback she’s only gotten to where she is by grinding and solely focusing on her clients’ best outcome ever since she was a newbie lawyer: “Who cares what the judge thinks?” This puts her at odds with the idealistic Yuri, who wants to pursue the justice regardless of who she represents.

Furthermore, while she is undoubtedly the best in her firm, she also has a way of — how you say — pissing people off with her attitude. This is readily apparent to Yuri who wryly reassures a client that Eun-kyung has the gift of making people upset, a tool that can be used for better (her clients) or for worse (anyone who stands in her way).

But despite their differences, what Eun-kyung and Yuri share is a commitment to their clients, and the teaser ends with Yuri asking Eun-kyung after a successful case how she pulled it off and Eun-kyung responding, “What do you mean how? I used the law.”

SBS’s upcoming drama “Good Partner” has released new stills featuring Nam Ji Hyun!

 

“Good Partner” is an office and law drama about star lawyer Cha Eun Kyung (Jang Nara), for whom divorce is her calling, and rookie lawyer Han Yu Ri (Nam Ji Hyun), who is new to divorce. The drama captures the unexpected separations in life plans, portraying the pragmatic and direct dilemmas that unfold when families break apart. It depicts the humorous struggles of divorce lawyers navigating the ruthless game of life balance, offering empathy and catharsis.

 

The drama will be penned by divorce specialist lawyer Choi Yu Na of the relatable Instagram cartoon “Marriage Red” (literal title), and the drama will be helmed by director Kim Ga Ram of “Nevertheless,” “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,” and “Vampire Detective.”

 

In the newly released stills, Han Yu Ri is seen smiling in the interview room. As a young professional who can’t stand injustice, she often clashes with star lawyer Cha Eun Kyung and argues with clients.

 

 

Nam Ji Hyun shared why she chose the role, saying, “The script is very entertaining. I found the diverse relationships between the characters, along with their distinct personalities and values, fascinating. I was impressed by how they clash, understand each other, and grow.” She added, “The biggest attraction is that the writer is an actual divorce lawyer, which makes the episodes feel incredibly vivid.”

 

Talking about Han Yu Ri, she said, “Yu Ri is confident and bold. Early on, she often clashes with Eun Kyung over cases, but it’s her growth through these intense moments that makes her charming.” She added, “I worked hard to show Yu Ri’s development and realizations step by step.”
