i didnt actually hate young mi. i loved her and wanted to hug her so that she'd be less self-destructive. funny how the most evil villainess i have ever watched in kdrama land gets my unconditional support. I don't care much for the rest. i was actually bummed if her schemes didn't succeed. kim so yeon is simply amazing. so amazing one wonders why it took another 9 years before she got another 'hit' series.

han jae suk's character got on my nerves at first for being such a weakling but the last few episodes really developed woo jin in such a way that i was really affected by his last act. i don't cry much but solid acting moves me and damnit ksy did such a good job my heart literally pained as if i actually lost a loved one.

Jang dong gun was good but his character was too perfect and unreal. chae rim... well, i preferred young mi/ksy.

i hope ksy makes more good shows like this. even if she plays villain again.

omo ...omo ..... this is my first KDRAMA that i've watched during my uni years...hahahaha KSY was totally the best villain ever and in the last epi she managed to turn my heart with her innocent look...it's really painful when she asked sun mi where the guy in the photo and she herself can feel that he's already gone....that parts was so sad.....it really shocked when she starred in Princess Prosecutor and she was so adorable....she's totally good actress apart from lee yo won....

All About Eve is such a great drama despite many frustrating moments. Kim So Yeon was the one that blew me away in this drama. I thought she was a better or more believable actress than Chae Rim in here. It's so rare for me to pity or love the "villains"/bi*ch. Though, I couldn't help but pity Young Mi, played by Kim So Yeon. Not to mention, Kim So Yeon was stunning (and she definitely still is a beauty). I wanted the best for Young Mi and hoped that she would realize how she's so self-destructive, but it sadly she realized it too late.

Call me crazy, but Young Mi and Woo Jin are still one of my favorite couples. I don't see anymore Korean dramas where the guy (be it supporting or lead male) loves the "evil"/flawed girl till the very end like Woo Jin. Most male characters fall for the "perfect girl" who are just a little below model-like woman (most likely the supporting female character). Anyway, my point is that I wish to see more justice done to the antagonists. I like how Young Mi still has a sense of humanity within her and how she manipulates men. Though, I remember she used Woo Jin differently. I just loved how he sided with her despite all her bad deeds.

Now I'm just reminiscing about this drama - haha. I believe this was my second Korean drama.

It's a shame that Kim So Yeon doesn't get/ (go for) roles like these anymore. She displayed her acting skills to the fullest potential here. I don't think that her acting has degraded over time, but rather she chooses roles that don't fit well with her (IMO). I completely forgot that she was once my (first) favorite actress.

The same applies to Han Jae Suk.... I rarely or almost never see him around anymore. Yeah, perhaps I'm weird to like his character, Woo Jin who selflessly and endlessly loves Young Mi. Though, he's the only guy who really puts up and sees a different light in her. Despite that she has tricked him throughout the entire series, there are moments where we question her sincerity. And to me, if the writers were able to make us question about her true feelings for Woo Jin, then that means even we don't truly understand/trust her - haha. So when I'm watching their relationship grow/crumble, it makes me bittersweet/mellow to know that at least Woo Jin sees the bright side of her despite how malicious she is personally. I like how Woo Jin actually loves her for who she is and even though he figures out that she's a richard simmons to everyone including him later on, he doesn't stop loving her. That's true love on his part... quite abusive, I guess... but it's a nice change instead of women always feeling this way - haha.

All in all, my favorite character from All About Eve is Young Mi. In my eyes, she steals the show whether you hate her or like her. I also find that she's the center of the whole story... to me she was also the female protagonist on par with Chae Rim. Then again, the "Eve" in the title is Young Mi's character after all. Young Mi and Woo Jin was the main OTP in my opinion.

Seriously, Young Mi must be my favorite "mean" female character up-to-date, or perhaps on par with the great Mishil ^^. And in all honesty, I think I would have fallen for her like Woo Jin because I'm blinded by her acting - haha.

I'm so surprised to see you here as well! Hope you're feeling better ^^. This was my second Korean drama. Oh, Jang Dong Gun will be returning to the small screen after 12 years of absence (from the small-screen that is...)!

I was reminiscing about some old Korean dramas because I was talking about the 2000s. Then somehow, All About Eve popped into my head. I remembered I loved Kim So Yeon and Han Jae Suk in here... probably more than Chae Rim and Jang Dong Gun. 

Anyway, I'm so shock that Kim So Yeon was only 20 years old! She looked older than Chae Rim... then again, Chae Rim had (and still has) a baby-ish face - hehe.

I love Young Mi's character. A lot of people find Woo Jin annoying, but I extremely loved his character as well. 

Ahhh... I wish there were more in-depth/psychotic main antagonists or characters like Young Mi... I'm glad that the "evil" gets to have a guy who loves her like mad as well. I think that's why I pity her even more...
