HYBE INSIGHT — SEVEN PHASES (BTS X James Jean)

 

For special exhibitions, BTS joined hands with internationally acclaimed Taiwanese American visual artist James Jean, who has been a cover artist for DC Comics and Marvel Comics. Jean's "Garden" portrays the seven BTS members as spirits of the flowers that give solace and encouragement to others. According to HYBE, the dreamy and fantastical depiction was inspired by the septet's ballad "The Truth Untold" (2018).  — Koreatimes

 

For its first special exhibition, Hybe collaborated with Taiwanese American artist James Jean, known for his poetic and mythical paintings and illustrations. Jean worked on a giant painting titled "Garden," taking a cue from the BTS song "The Truth Untold."

 

Seven totem figures that resemble the seven-piece act's members are also among Jean's works on display.  — Yonhap

James Jean made characters and stories based on the members’ nicknames and personalities.

BTS Army from all over the world went crazy as a 2019 photo of BTS member RM went viral. The photo was taken around October of that year on the last of their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour.

Musician Colde and his office (WAVY) featured in Vogue Living Korea. He shared that his long-time friend, RM, gave him a painting for his office opening.

 

The interesting part is that the artist (painter) and Colde have the same name (Colde’s real name is Kim Hee Soo). Colde said that the painting means a lot for him.

HONNE share beats for ‘Seoul,’ their collaboration with BTS’ RM

 

HONNE took a trip down memory lane today (28/06) and found some old beats including the one they used for their collaboration with BTS’ RM.

 

Producer James Hatcher, 1/2 of the English duo, posted a video clip on Twitter to share the beats they used for ‘Seoul’ – a track off RM’s 2018 mixtape, mono.

 

Was just rummaging through old beats and found the one we made for ‘Seoul’, the track we wrote with RM

 

The crazy thing is - that synth sounds playing the melody at the start is actually my (James) vocal, but loaded into a sampler and played in on a keyboard

OSEN released rare BTS Polaroids that were taken at a fan event after OSEN opened its channel on VLive. The originals are with 12 fans who got them at the event, but the copies were stored in the reporter’s hard drive and they wanted to share these images with the world.
