Aigoooo, you reminded me of this fan service... I have been dumbfounded for these 4 days and telling myself that I have been blind. Just cant stop blaming myself for misreading what so called fan service (feel sorry to my friend that I keep telling this to her). It's like falling into a trap and I cant get myself out of it. Sorry for cutting your post.It was speculated then that he must have been joking but now it seemed to me that he was adding a grain of truth to the joking part,especially since there were many comments before about the cryptic nature of his messages.It's just that my brain is trying to keep my heart from hoping too much.

I still believe JoonU was not a mere fan-service but as I said I am a cautious shipper now.

Yes I remember that and I think it was discussed here before. At that time I think it was a joke since he first said 23 and in gwangjong mode (like a reporter asking the king exclusively).

So it might have been us that we tried to ignore those signs??? But then again the way he acted was far from being in a relationship so maybe the other one traveled for sometime (was it during the ml run)

Thank you, everyone, for the correction, and @WH, for the link to the video. One of the things I love about this thread is the freedom to try out ideas, express opinions, be wrong, be set straight a bit, and have the level of fun never diminish.

Somewhat coincidentally, the topic of right vs. wrong has been on my mind for a few days, ever since I saw some comments, elsewhere, in which people expressed a feeling of "vindication," since the LJG-JHB dating news had "invalidated" the JoonU ship. Since when has shipping JoonU become a matter of objective "right" or "wrong?" @postnihilism has touched on this topic before, but on what grounds does morality enter into the shipping equation? And why do "right" and "wrong" ways to follow celebrities exist? How can anyone ever claim that they stand on the moral high-ground of following and appreciating celebrities, while everyone else's form of following and appreciating is just mucking through swampland and mud? And why would the confirmation-of-dating news actually "invalidate" JoonU? Why would the "game" be called now? In truth, the "game" has just begun and will last for as long as LJG and LJE are alive. Anyone who is this quick to call "Victory!" over JoonU shippers is a touch overzealous...and oddly insecure.

I may never understand why this ship upsets so many other celebrity followers. Nothing about the space we have created here is inappropriate, hostile, or derogatory. We're not stalkers. We just see things and call them as we see them, and we keep each other in check. LJG announcing that he is dating JHB does not make us "wrong" or "losers" or terrible fans for trying to "force" a relationship (through mind control??) or terrible judges of character or generally lacking individuals who can't tell fantasy from reality.

Shipping JoonU is not like saying "I see unicorns." It's more akin to saying, "I see double rainbows and fields full of butterflies."

And for everyone who is mocking us, saying "See? You can't know the motivations or thoughts or feelings of public figures," I want to turn that very comment back on them: Even though LJG and JHB have confirmed that they are dating, you don't know their motivations, thoughts, or feelings, either. Behind closed doors, couples argue as much as they love, and, unfortunately, they make each other miserable as much as they make each other happy. Your favorite celebrity now being paired "appropriately," in your eyes, does not mean that you know anything more than we, as JoonU shippers, have known. In fact, you may know less.

As for the perpetual fan service argument, I leave you with this thought:

On what kind of terms do two people have to be for a man to drag his right hand down a woman's left hip and have her not flinch but, instead, beam at him?

ok here's my conclusion:

Flirtatious actor got infatuated with co-star - both felt the spark (hence no flinching of skinship on her side) - but both are professional and end it after the stint is done (let's be realistic, you can't just date every co-star you fall for on set if you already have someone back home. That's why a lot of actresses say they travel after a drama is finished to clear their minds). JG got caught recently on a date -  pictures are not even scandalous, so no reason to admit unless he truly thought of marrying her in future, better to admit now then face backlash later for lying OR threatened to admit because Dispatch has more compromising pictures.

So it seems like a SoHae situation to me now, "if only they have met at a different time and different place... how great would it be" 

BUT as with all outed celebrity couples, it's either make or break situation, only time will tell.......
