Red Velvet Tops Music Charts with “Ice Cream Cake”

Girl group Red Velvet has continued to take over the top of weekly music charts with their very first album. On March 23, a representative of SM Entertainment revealed, “Red Velvet’s new album ‘Ice Cream Cake,’ which was released this past March 18, has reached number one on the weekly chart of music sales site Hanteo.” Even more, the album’s title track that was released on March 17, “Ice Cream Cake,” also topped Bugs’ weekly music chart at first place, and maintained its spot in the top five on Genie, Olle Music, Daum Music, Naver Music, Soribada, and various other music sites. Not only is Red Velvet earning love within Korea, the new album is also receiving a positive response from fans overseas as well, proving their popularity.
