Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Seo Joon may be the next nuna-dongsaeng (older woman-younger man) couple.

According to multiple broadcasting representatives on February 18, Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Seo Joon are set to appear in tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Witch’s Love” (working title), a remake of Taiwanese drama “My Queen” (“Queen of No Marriage”).

One representative revealed, “The two will be taking on lead roles in a nuna-dongsaeng romance. While they have not signed contracts yet, they should be appearing in the drama barring any unforeseen circumstances.”

Uhm Jung Hwa's side stated, "Nothing has been finalized. We are positively considering the offer," while Park Seo Joon's side said, "It's true that we received a casting proposal, but we are currently in the reviewing phase. Talks are going positively."

“My Queen” originally aired in 2009, and told the story of a 33-year-old single career woman who meets a 25-year-old romantic and handsome working man. It drew comparisons with 2005 MBC drama “My Name is Kim Sam Soon.” The drama was a phenomenal ratings success, and attracted considerable popularity in Korea as well.

Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Seo Joon play a single woman and a younger man respectively, with a large age difference. Both are emotionally scarred from previous relationships, and develop a romance with one another as they heal from their wounds. The real age gap between the Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Seo Joon is a staggering 19 years, so it will be interesting to see how they manage to make the nuna-dongsaeng relationship work.

If all works out, this will be Uhm Jung Hwa’s return to dramaland five years after 2009 KBS drama “He Who Can’t Marry.” She has mainly been active in the film industry, with her most recent release being the 2014 film “The Laws of Pleasure.”

Park Seo Joon was in KBS2’s “Dream High 2” and is currently attracting attention for his excellent acting and charming good looks in the SBS drama “Kind Words.” This will be Park Seo Joon’s first leading role in a drama, if he chooses to sign on to “Witch’s Love.”

“Witch’s Love” is expected to air its first broadcast on tvN in April, following “I Need Romance 3.”
