[Recap] Soompi Weekly Roundup - October Week 1

All the important Korean Entertainment news from this week in one place: This is your Weekly Soompi Roundup!  

• A rookie Chinese actress tweeted a photo of herself at JYJ's Jaejoong's home and was immediately caught up in a "scandal" with the Hallyu singer. She played it cool and did not delete her picture, explaining that she wasn't the only person at the house.

• Go Young Wook has been sentenced to two and a half years of prison. He is the first Korean celebrity to wear an electronic anklet. 

• Actor Baek Yoon Shik is living his own real life drama when his ex-girlfriend, a reporter who is thirty years younger than him, claimed that he cheated on her and then that his two adult sons assaulted her. She then overdosed on sleeping pills and was sent to a hospital. Baek Yoon Shik went to visit her but all he would say was that her accusations were not true. 

• Cha No Ah has been sentenced to ten months in prison for smoking marijuana. His sexual assault charges are still in process.

• YG Entertainment sued a "Mr.Kim" who had been for years harassing YG and their artists with malicious comments. 

• Other celebrities are taking a stand against evil netizens. Baek Ji Young is suing some really awful netizens who made horrible remarks about her miscarriage. IU, Song Hye Gyo, and Lee Young Ae have also taken legal actions against these netizens. Really, netizens? Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. 

• Update on Song Joong Ki: Who needs plastic surgery when you have the army to slim down your face?

• Heo Young Saeng will enlist as a policeman as part of his military duty at the end of October. 

• Moon Geun Young previously injured her eye on set but now she is doing better.

• Korean celebrities make a lot of money but at least some of them are spending it wisely.

• Han Ji Min joins Lee Byung Hun and a million other actors at BH Entertainment.

• Kim Heechul is now a webtoon writer! I haven't checked it out yet but how can it not be funny?

• EXO fans already have a bad reputation but they made it worse when they crashed Baekhyun's brother's wedding. Let's all shake our heads together.

• "The Commitment" staring T.O.P. released two trailers. It's nice to Choi Seung Hyun without his eyeliner and brightly colored hair. 

• MBC will use a fancy new HD equipment for their new drama. Does this mean we will see how much BB Cream the actors are wearing? 

 

In variety news…

• Kim Woo Bin, Park Shin Hye, and Choi Jin Hyuk were photographed filming for "Running Man." I don't think I can miss that episode!

• Kim Heechul revealed the conversation he had with Sulli on the day of her dating scandal.

• Joo Won will leave "1 Night 2 Days" due to scheduling reasons and will be replaced with a familiar face.

• Lee Seung Ki has been cast as the baggage boy for four veteran actresses in what might be called "Grandmas Over Flowers."
