Actor Im Joo Hwan, currently on hiatus to serve his mandatory two years in the military, was reported to have been hospitalized in the middle of his training.  The report was made in a statement by his agency, Yedang Entertainment

He was said to have fainted while undergoing basic training three weeks ago and was found to have experienced a heart problem, according to reports. The actor is also said to not have had heart complications prior to joining the military on May 2011.  Im Joo Hwan is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Gyeonggi
Province.

Before entering camp, Im Joo Hwan was last seen in the movie “Suicide Forecast,” co-starring Ryu Seung Bum and Younha.  He also completed filming for “What’s Up,” a drama still pending a broadcast date, with Big Bang’s Daesung, Im Joo Eun, Jang Hee Jin, Lee Soo Hyuk and Oh Man Seok.

The actor debuted in 2004 and has had a string of acting projects, but gained more prominence by playing So Yi Jung’s (Kim Bum) older brother in 2009’s “Boys Over Flowers” and as Park Kyu, opposite Seo Woo in “Tamra the Island.”
