“Tazza 2” reaches 1 million viewers + unveils certification shot with the cast


“Tazza 2,” the film which features Big Bang’s T.O.P and Shin Sekyung, has reached one million audiences in five days. 
According to the Korean Film Council, they have calculated the accumulated attendance for the film and confirmed that “Tazza 2” reached its one million audiences. The rate is faster compared to other 19+ films in the past such as “Stalker” and “Uncle.” 
To celebrate the success of the film, the production team released a photo of the cast, which included T.O.P, Shin Sekyung, Yu Haejin, Lee Hanui and more. 
“Tazza 2,” also known as “Tazza: The Hidden Card” is the prequel to the hit 2006 film, “Tazza: The High Rollers.” It started opened in Korean theatres last September 3rd with its rights sold to distribution agencies in the United States, Canada, Japan and more.

'Tazza 2' brings in over 1.5 million movie-goers since release
Not only did T.O.P's latest starring movie 'Tazza 2' top the box office on the day of release on September 3, but it also stayed on top throughout the weekend, accumulating more than 1.5 million spectators so far.
It ranked first by a big margin despite competition being posed from other recently released films like 'Lucy' which came in second, and 'My Brilliant Life' which ranked third. With a added boost from the Chuseok holiday, the movie saw an additional jump and is nearing the 1.6 million mark.
Looks like T.O.P and Shin Se Kyung might need to get ready to pucker up for that promise they made to fans if viewers continue come to see the movie at such a rate.

Recently released movie “Tazza 2,” starring BIGBANG’s T.O.P and actress Shin Se Kyung, has recorded number one in box office numbers for five days running.
According to the Korean Film Council on September 9, “Tazza 2” brought in a total of 407,160 viewers on September 8, maintaining its spot in first place. With the latest increase in attendance over the Chuseok Holiday, the movie’s cumulative total audience rose to 1,598,845 moviegoers.
Since the premiere day of “Tazza 2” on September 3, it has held on to its position at the top of the box office and is not far from reaching the 2 million mark.
Meanwhile, “Lucy” is in second place with 207,615 attendees, while “My Brilliant Life” is currently third at the box office with 197,883 attendees.

'Tazza 2' is a movie about a guy named Dae-gil, who was born with a god given talent in gambling, making a dazzling debut as a gambler.
The video is composed of highlights scenes from the film, and the actors' special messages.

T.O.P misses promotions for “Tazza 2” due to cold and fever

“Tazza 2” continues promotions without T.O.P as the actor is down with cold and fever, assumed to be due to fatigue. 

On September 9th, T.O.P’s absence was noted in a recent movie screening in Seoul, South Korea, where he was scheduled to attend with the film’s director and selected cast members.

According to the production staff, T.O.P was already on his way to the screening when he fell ill. It was revealed that T.O.P fell ill due to accumulated fatigue as he has been busy promoting the film through various movie screenings across Seoul and press interviews.  [more]

Big Bang's T.O.P unable to attend 'Tazza 2' event due to a bad cold
Big Bang's T.O.P was unable to attend a stage greeting for the film 'Tazza 2' with the rest of the cast on September 9 due to a cold.
The movie has been a big hit with moviegoers ever since its release on the 3rd, bringing in over 1.5 million moviegoers, and director Kang Hyung Chul, Lee Kyung Young, Lee Dong Hwi, T.O.P, and more were scheduled to appear for a stage greeting. However, 'Tazza 2' reps revealed that T.O.P was too ill to attend after completing 4 days of promotions and interviews for the film.
As he's been sick with a bad cold, T.O.P had to turn back while on his way to the event as his condition worsened. A rep stated, "[T.O.P] worked really hard to promote the movie. Recently-released movie “Tazza 2” has broken a new record for films rated suitable for viewers aged 19 and over. Viewer statistics released by Lotte Entertainment, the company  in charge of the film’s distribution, showed that “Tazza 2″ hit the two million viewer mark merely a week after its initial release, the shortest period of time yet for the two million mark.
The movie also managed reach the two million viewer milestone a day earlier than its predecessor, “Tazza: The High Rollers,” which was released in 2007. In addition, “Tazza 2″ has managed to place at number one on daily box office ratings every day since its release.
The film registered 407,151 viewers on September 8, setting a new high for movies rated 19+ released in 2014.
The movie stars BIGBANG member T.O.P, who plays the part of a talented gambler. It also co-stars actress and former Miss Korea Honey Lee, as well as “High Kick Through the Roof” star Shin Se Kyung.

“Tazza 2” continues to break through the box office as it reaches its 3 million audience mark. To celebrate such achievement, the cast of “Tazza 2,” released confirmatory shots of their 3 million mark. Big named stars such as Yoo Haejin, Honey Lee, Shin Sekyung, Choi Seunghyun (also known as BIGBANG’s T.O.P), Gwak Dowon, and others play the roles of “go-stop” gamblers in the sequel to the first movie “Tazza: The High Rollers”, which was successfully released in 2006.
