Two of EXO‘s vocalists, Baek Hyun and Chen, competed on the August 17 episode of KBS’ music competition show “Immortal Song 2,” moving hearts and wowing the crowd with their talent.

“Immortal Song 2″ often gives a chance for idol members, who are part of large groups, to showcase their veiled talent and shine on stage.  Baek Hyun and Chen gave an emotional rendition of the 1969 classic “I Really Didn’t Know” originally sung by songstress Im Hee Suk.  The two poured out their hearts to sing the love ballad and also showed off their team harmony. 

Baek Hyun and Chen competed against veteran singer Jo Jang Hyuk, who proved too high of a wall with his experience for the two EXO members who were appearing on the show for the first time.

But it’s a new experience, and we all appreciated it.”

Idol group EXO appeared on KBS2 FM’s program “Jo Jung Chi & Harim’s 2PM” and took some pictures of themselves and the DJs.

On December 17, the official Twitter account of the radio program posted several cute photos of EXO members and the DJs, writing “EXO members came visit the show! We took some selfies with D.O., Luhan, Chen, and BaekHyun.”

In one of the revealed photos, Chen and BaekHyun make cute and funny facial expressions, and Luhan and D.O. are making V-signs looking into the camera. The photo seems to be taken at the studio set of “Jo Jung Chi and Harim’s 2PM.”

In another revealed photo, Chen and D.O. looks into a camera putting a smile on their faces, while Luhan makes a V-sign and BaekHyun centres his lips together.

The DJs, Jo Jung Chi and Harim are in green jerseys, standing at the back of EXO members.

EXO is breaking its own viewership ratings record again and again with own variety program “EXO’s Showtime.” At the show’s press conference late November last year, EXO promised fans and those in attendance that they’ll sing a song for the fans if the show gets over 1.2% in viewership ratings.

SM‘s ballad project called “SM The Ballad” will be releasing their second album, “Breath,” on February 13.

On February 4, according to SM, the artists participating in this album are TVXQ!’sChangmin, Super Junior’s Yesung, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, SHINee’s Jonghyun,f(x)’s Krystal, EXO’s Chen, Super Junior-M’s Zhoumi, and Zhang Li Yin. 

This album will consist of 6 songs with a theme of ‘separation,’ organized like a story.

1. “Dear…” (intro)

2. “Breath” – The title track of the album, “Breath” is about the feelings of a man and woman right after a breakup.

3. “I Was Greedy” – tells the point of view of the man after separation.

4. “Set Me Free” – A solo by Taeyeon, this song tells the point of view of the woman.

5. “One Day” – A duet by Jonghyun and Chen, “One Day” is about daily life that has changed.

6. “The Good and Bad” – A duet by Krystal and Chen, the song is the conversation of the man and woman after they coincidentally meet.

Two of the songs from the album, “Breath” and “I Was Greedy,” will be sung in three different languages.

The Korean version of “Breath” will be done by Taeyeon and Jonghyun, the Chinese version by Chen and Zhang Li Yin, and the Japanese version by Changmin and Krystal.

Singer Zhang Li Yin revealed a photo with fellow SM Entertainment label mate EXO’sChen.

On February 13, she posted a message in Chinese on her Weibo account saying, “In the morning at the airport with Chen. Thank you for coming to Beijing to promote with me even though you must be tired!”

The photo Zhang Li Yin posted with her message shows her and Chen smiling side-by-side at the camera. The friendly pose of the two label mates make it seem like they are siblings.

Zhang Li Yin and Chen will make an appearance on the Chinese Hunan TV’s “Element of Joy” on February 14 performing the Chinese version of SM The Ballad Vol. 2’s title track, “Breath,” for the first time live.
