Kim Hee Sun, Lee Seo Jin, Gong Yoo, 2PM’s Taecyeon and More Wish Happy Lunar New Year
Some of the country’s top stars sent their lunar New Year’s greeting through hand written messages along with their photos.
The cast members of KBS2’s new drama Very Good Times, including Kim Hee Sun, Lee Seo Jin and 2PM’s Taecyeon, shared their New Year’s message through the drama production company.
Being the ‘atmosphere maker’ of the filming site, Kim Hee Sun smiled brightly as she posed with her New Year’s greetings message and Lee Seo Jin wrote, ‘Have a dae-bak (great success) in 2014. I hope you have a ‘very good’ year,’ as he promoted his new drama.
Taecyeon also posed along with his message, in which he drew in his mascot and wished for a happy New Year.

Agency mates Taecyeon and Park Joo Hyung head to Busan to practice their dialect for 'Very Good Days'

2PM's Taecyeon and actor Park Joo Hyung, who are JYP agency mates, are reportedly both getting ready to greet viewers with Busan satoori or dialect for KBS 2TV's new drama 'Very Good Days'.

As the drama takes place in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongju, the actors will be using the satoori associated with the region. Taecyeon, who previously used dialect on 'Cinderella Sister', brushed up on his accent by conversing with old friends in his hometown of Busan for a few days. Park Joo Hyung, who is from Seoul and does not use the dialect, also stayed in a guest house in Busan to learn how to speak with the accent and slang of the region from the natives.

A JYP Entertainment rep told Star News on the 29th, "In the case of Taecyeon, because he is from Busan and uses satoori, there are no difficulties... Taecyeon is learning from observing the acting and the small details of Ryu Seung Soo, whom he stars with as brothers."

'Very Good Days' will take viewers on the life journey of a man who grows up poor but ends up becoming a successful prosecutor and returns to his hometown 15 years later.

The drama will premiere following the conclusion of 'The Wang Family' on February 22 at 7:55 PM KST!

2PM’s Taecyeon and Actor Park Joo Hyung Learning a Dialect for the New Drama, “Great Days”
JYP’s Ok Taecyeon (2PM) and actor Park Joo Hyung have been cast in KBS’s new drama “Great Days,” and are focusing on practicing a dialect. Both actors will be in roles different from what they’ve previously done, and among the transformations that they will make, their use of a dialect is by far the most anticipated. “Great Days” takes place in Gyeongju, and the actors will be using the Kyungsang dialect. The two actors have previously used the standard dialect on television for the most part, so it’ll be interesting to see how they do with the Kyungsang dialect.
Ok Taecyeon, who plays Kang Dong Suk’s (Lee Seo Jin) younger brother Kang Dong Hee, has some experience with the dialect, having used it once before in KBS’s “Cinderella’s Sister” (2010). He also had lived in Busan for a bit as a child, which gives him a slight leg up. For “Great Days,” Taecyeon actually went back to Busan for a couple days, to meet with his friends and practice. A JYP Entertainment official said on January 29 to Starnews, “Ok Taecyeon is learning the details of acting from senior actors like Ryu Seung Soo, who play his brothers, and is doing his best.”
On the other hand, Park Joo Hyung is originally from Seoul, and has never done dialects before, so as much as he is inexperienced, he is working equally harder. He, like Taecyeon, also visited Busan. The official at JYP said, “For the character of Oh Seung Hoon, Park Joo Hyung stayed at a guesthouse nearBusan National University. Living and talking with people from Busan, he worked on his intonation and pronunciation.” Park Joo Hyung plays the character of Oh Seung Hoon, who has a crush on Cha Hye Won, played by Kim Hee Sun.
“Great Days” is about a once poor boy who makes it as a prosecutor, and returns to his hometown 15 years later, telling a story of the value of family, the greatness of love, and the warmth in people. The first episode will air on February 22.

class="entry-title"[Drama News] Wonderful Season Releases a Warm First Teaser

idyGS4khKtagN.jpg

KBS weekend drama Wonderful Season (also known as Very Good Times or Wonderful Days) is gearing up to air on February 22nd, having recently released a surprisingly cute 40-second teaser. Producer expectations are sky high after it reportedly broke the 10,000 view mark after 3 days (not exactly viral, but still) and there has been much talk regarding the distinct Gyeongsang dialect that the cast has had to practice, since the drama is set in Gyeongju.

It’s hard to shake off the idea that a drama written by melo-queen Lee Kyung Hee (of Nice Guy fame) will be… well, dark and melo, and both leads Lee Seo Jin and Kim Hee Sun is better known for their serious roles. But first teaser certainly sells the “warm, healing drama” description that has been attached to Wonderful Season and I, for one, am certainly not complaining.

class="entry-title"[Drama News] Kim Hee Sun Featured in Teaser 2 of Wonderful Season

ibzfluaMCITXbC.jpg

It’s raining teasers and stills for upcoming KBS weekend drama Wonderful Season! If I was surprised what a warm and nostalgic tone the first teaser took, I’m downright in love with the adorable second teaser, which features Kim Hee Sun as Cha Hae Won, a tough and delightfully unrefined debt-collector. She’s loud, abrasive and certainly not shy of confrontations, clashing often with Kang Dong Hee (Taecyeon). Heh, I’m looking forward to this portrayal already.

Kang Dong Suk (Lee Seo Jin) was her childhood oppa and first love, which makes me wonder why happened to separate the two for 15 years (he goes off to Seoul and becomes a successful prosecutor, while she evidently stays behind). Whatever the reason was, we’re certain to get some great tension and angst from them – loaded stares abound already and (cliché as it is) Dong Suk sweeping her into his arms, out of the way of Dong Hee’s motorbike at the end of the teaser… swoon.

I just realised that both of them looks have similar face features. No wonder they been cast as siblings in the drama. Seung-gi, ya better watch out for his hyung before Taecyeon take his away.
