I read about Rain collaborating with an artist in his next album and it was speculated to be Psy. As for the 2nd track, I suppose that is very much Rain’s style to showcase his dancing skills. Nice to know that Rain will produce all the songs and album. He is driving it as he wishes. No need to have the headache of pleasing anybody but his fans and public.

Hi Nancyzak, hahaha - I read about it, too about Psy.....But, will that really WOW us, huh? You know, RAIN will be singing more ballad songs from hereon – this, he mentioned during his Seoul concert. I guess this is fine because he's not getting any younger & besides, he'll be turning 35-years old this year (K-calendar). He said during concert that  he'd like to stop singing [dance songs] while his body is at its best because according to him it’s too hard to keep in shape as you age.

Hi Nancyzak, thanks for sharing the photos here.  About soju, I read that the manufacturers have been competing to lower the high alcohol content of this K-beverage to attract new customers however, it seems their efforts were in vain. Because there are many & interest are growing more who prefer the higher alcohol content. Many prefer the bitter taste of soju (higher content) over the sweetness of newer versions (low alcohol content). TV ad placements have also played a role in boosting its sales.

Hehe....Rain and Psy, like fire and ice; like the sun and moon to me, or as my amateur mind thinks.   We are talking about two SK World Stars here, each with different performance style and a ‘fusion’ that takes the world by storm can only be expected! 

Popular artists who plan well tend to retire or change their performance style come a certain age of their lives. I suppose he has his back problem to consider too?

Any idea whether soju is the top alcoholic drink in SK? Even if there is no poster like advertisement like what we see of KTH for Yongpal, the scene of drinking session is very common in K-dramas. Rain Shows Off His Humorous Charms in “Please Come Back, Mister” Preview Stills

 

 

The upcoming SBS drama “Please Come Back, Mister” has released some preview stills of Rain, who will be playing two roles of Lee Hae Joon, originally an over-working man in his 40s that got reincarnated as a son of a big enterprise CEO.

For this drama, Rain will be bringing out his comical side to realistically portray his humorous character. In the preview stills, his character looks like he’s having a mental breakdown. Rain’s comical way of clearing the drinks will make the audience laugh for sure.

On the day of filming this scene, Rain came to set early in the morning and seemed eager to start acting despite being busy. He talked thoroughly with the director and made the staff members laugh with his humorous actions during the rehearsal.

When the actual filming began, Rain added many ad-libs and improptu stunts that made it hard for the staff members on set to hold in their laughter.

The production team in charge of the drama stated, “Jung Ji Hoon (Rain) is going all in for this drama. His character will be both comical and emotional. Please look forward to his appearance.”

Meanwhile, “Please Come Back, Mister” will air on February 24 after “Remember” finishes its run.

Hi Nancyzak, about his "back problem", ye, he has & in fact he was hospitalized due to chronic back pain during his MS then. He failed to show up as a judge in a military audition before due to his condition. Rain was suffering from herniated disc, a medical condition where discs in the spine rupture. Rain was already suffering from this condition before his enlistment. Usually dancers like Rain suffer from back problems. There were some reports speculated that with his hospitalization and medical condition, Rain may petition for an early discharge from the military. That was a misleading rumor & I was very surprised.  RAIN has been receiving treatment gradually. Good that it didn't affect Rain's military service otherwise, K-netizens will say bad things more about him. 

About soju, IDK if it's the top alcoholic drink but what I know is it's considered "Korea's most popular alcoholic beverage" -  I know most brands of soju are made in SK.  Some of the best K-dishes are recommended with soju: I read that SKoreans drink twice as much liquor as Russians. And do you know that there's a way to drink this? An older member of the group will most likely hand you a shot glass. You should always accept a glass with two hands. In Korea, it is a showing of respect to accept anything from a person of seniority with both hands. He will pour the shot for you. You do not pour yourself a drink at a table. When you drink, turn your head to the side and avoid eye contact with the person that poured it for you. I'm sure you notice this when you watch a K-drama. When your glass is empty, hand it back to the person that poured a drink for you and pour them a shot. This will start a series of glass and bottle passes around the table. If you see an empty glass, offer to fill it. Koreans love drinking games. Sometimes we also see this on dramas. This is the way for everyone to have fun and relax a little. It's awful but it's part of their culture.

After the publication of what KTH finds in Rain and their dates in her Instyle magazine recently that I posted above, there are IG updates by certain shippers floating around that have a lot of likes with some sniggering about the lack of support for KimBi couple pics. Rain Says He Practiced Pronunciation for 2 Months Before Filming “Please Come Back, Mister”

 

 

Actor and singer Rain admitted that he practiced his pronunciation prior to the filming of the upcoming SBS drama “Please Come Back, Mister.”

At the press conference for the drama on February 19, Rain was joined by co-stars Kim Soo Ro, Kim In Kwon, Oh Yeon Seo, Honey Lee, and many more. On his character, who is body-jacked by the soul of Kim In Kwon’s character Kim Young Soo, Rain admitted, “From proofreading the pronunciation to practicing the vocalization, I practiced for two months prior to the start of the project.”

Rain also opened up about the filming process. “Even the differences of opinion I had with the director helped things go smoothly. The director’s unwavering belief in the participating actors brought us all to this point. I think, between the emotional performances by the actors and the great writing, everything [about this drama] will all help us as actors going forward.”

“Please Come Back, Mister” is about two recently deceased men who get a second chance at life, returning from the afterlife to body-jack two completely different people. The first episode will air on February 24 following the completion of “Remember.”

It’s an honor [to work with him],” he said. “Rain accepts everything. He pitches in ideas and acts with 110 percent. He takes care of all of the other actors he works with, too. I respect him.”

Yoon Park also revealed that the reason the writer chose Rain for the role is because of his stage name. Yoon Park said, “The writer said they made their decision based on different characters and the differentiation between two names. They said they wondered if the Rain of 2007 would also have participated in this kind of drama.”
