Fans Worried That Kim Woo Bin's Cancer Could Lead To Cranial Nerve Paralysis; Doctors Confident In Actor's Treatment, Recovery

 

 

Fans of Kim Woo Bin are becoming worried about "Master" actor after it has been reported that his condition could result in cranial nerve paralysis if it gets worse. The actor was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer recently.

According to a report by All Kpop, it was "Heard it Through the Grapevine" host Lee Joon Seok who explained the complications of nasopharyngeal cancer as the show discussed Kim Woo Bin's condition. "Nasopharyngeal cancer is a type of cancer that is caused by tumors from the back of the nose to the rooftop of your mouth," he said. "However, if the cancer cells travel towards the brain, a cranial nerve paralysis can occur. It's a rare and serious disease that happens to 1 in 100,000 people."

The host said that Kim Woo Bin is currently getting treatment and has been advised to rest for the meantime for a speedy recovery. He said that Woo Bin's professionalism compelled him to want to go to work so that he will not delay production on his latest movie "Wiretap" but the film outfit itself decided to give him time to heal and focus on his treatment.

In a previous interview, Kim Woo Bin's doctor Dr. Jung Yoo Seok, a specialist from the National Cancer Center, expressed confidence that the actor will be able to recover from his ailment with the proper treatment. He said that Kim Woo Bin has a 70 percent survival rate because the cancer was diagnosed in the early stages.

As the doctor revealed that Kim Woo Bin is currently undergoing a mix of radiation and nonsurgical procedures to combat the spread of the disease. He added that for cases diagnosed within the first and second stages, there is a 70 percent chance of survival. For those detected in the latter stages, the patient's recovery will depend on his health condition, Kpopstarz reported.

Hi ProudofYou, thanks for sharing the pictures from IG. The film is supposed to be scheduled to begin this month.  You know, our health is more important than anything else in this world. That's why, I’m happy that his movie co-stars show their support & agreed with the decision to wait for him when he recovers.

I heard that the director reveals that the movie preparation/ character is actually based on Kim Woo Bin. He said that when they heard that he is diagnosed with cancer, they still think that is a must to have Kim Woo Bin in the movie, so they decided to delay their current schedule until Kim Woo Bin fully recovers. They are such as sweet & NICE production team! I hope Kim Woo Bin a speedy recovery!
