Compilation of Q&A From Kang Sora's Interview (Post Misaeng) Part 2

Q : In the drama, there were a lot of scenes that showed Ahn Young-I constantly getting scolded by Assistant Manager Ha and her other superior that made many people felt so sorry for her (Young-I). If it was you, how would you cope with that kind of situation ?
KSR : It was hard to see Ahn Young-I hold herself back and just put up with their treatment to her for so many times in the drama. She just swallowed their treatment to her bravely with a positive thinking in mind that if she works hard, they will acknowledge her eventually. If it was me, I probably will approach them in a more easygoing attitude like a male workmate does. and I will talk a lot more towards my superior. If I feel so suffocating that they treat me like that, I think I might ask them directly “Why do you hate me so much" or , "What do you think I should do then ?” Personally, I find it difficult to put up with such a treatment if it happens to me. 

Q : Do you think that you yourself are still in ‘Misaeng’ (incomplete life) phase right now ?
KSR : Clearly I still in ‘Misaeng’ stage right now. I still have a long long way to go before my life is complete. I do think that trying to fill the lacking parts in our incomplete life is also one of the pleasures of living.

Q : Isn't it a little disappointing that TVN doesn't have a year-end award ceremony ?
KSR : Yes, it is. Cable TVs have a lot of good solid dramas but it's too bad that they don't hold any award ceremony. I really enjoyed watching OCN's drama ‘Bad Guys’ that Park Hae Jin appeared in. Park Hae Jin Oppa and I worked together in ‘Doctor Stranger’ before. So, we both support and monitor each other’s work. 

Q : Any resting plan before getting ready for next year’s project ?
KSR : ‘Misaeng’ is great but to go back shooting for next season, I think it will be difficult on me. It’s not easy to maintain the emotion (for Ahn Young-I’s role) just the way it is. So when I have time for a break, I will mostly go for a trip somewhere and visit some tasty places because I just couldn’t stay around at the house doing nothing. I will mostly meet up with my friends and eating yummy food when I have some free time but I will still make effort to exercise consistently for my health.

Q : Do you have your own special method of keeping your body in shape ?
KSR : As an actress, although it is difficult, I make a lot of efforts to make sure my appearance fit and right for the role that I want to play. I do ballet or even yoga. When I don’t have much time to exercise, I’ll go for a short walk around the area near my house with my dogs. Honestly, there are times when I find it hard to keep on doing all that body management routines. But in order not to do any harm to my health and to enjoy the most part of my life, I’m trying to keep doing those workout routines diligently as much as I can.

Q : You began to be recognized as an actress through your notable movie ‘Sunny’. What does the movie ‘Sunny’ means to you ?
KSR : Even though ‘Sunny’ didn’t bring me to stardom, it was the work that let the name ‘Kang Sora’ known to the public. Instead of giving me the meaning of stardom, ‘Sunny’ has much deeper meaning to me than that. When I meet people who still remember me and my acting in ‘Sunny’, I still feel a sense of satisfaction and even get choked with emotion. ‘Sunny’ is the work that I’m grateful for the most.

Q : What kind of actress do you want to be remembered as? What is your ultimate goal ?
KSR : I don’t have any idea what kind of actress I want to be remembered as or any ultimate goal yet so far. I just want to constantly working in a variety of different projects and not to be a typecast actress who does similar roles over and over again. I think I need to strive harder until I can become an actress that will continue to grow in each of my work first.
